I am facing an issue updating the LIFETIME FREE MAPS on my TOMTOM Start 20 and TomTom Start 25 (S-M: BQ2106A90715) navigation devices. I prefer using the Start 25 lately due to its larger screen. I encountered a "USB device not recognized" error message while attempting to update, preventing Windows Explorer from recognizing the connected device.

I recently experienced significant issues with my TomTom device that came with advertised free map and traffic updates. Unfortunately, the customer service I received was only automated and I couldn't speak to a live person for assistance. During the attempt to update my supposed lifetime free maps, I encountered options that would require payment, not aligning with the promised free updates. After selecting the only no-cost option, my device stopped functioning entirely as it could not support the free map provided. Efforts to contact customer support through chat and messages went unanswered, leaving me with a now useless device. The lack of proper customer service in resolving this issue has left me extremely dissatisfied. I caution others not to rely on this company for their GPS needs, as the lack of real-time support can lead to frustrating outcomes like mine. Trust in their advertised lifetime free maps was misplaced, and I feel misled by the company's practices.

I recently purchased a TomTom navigation device with lifetime updates and traffic features. However, I am experiencing difficulties connecting the device to receive the necessary updates due to a change in my internet provider, which has made my original email address invalid. I tried to register my new email address but have been unsuccessful so far. The customer service phone line directed me to use the chat room for assistance, but without being able to log in, I'm at a loss for how to proceed. I recently bought a TOM TOM when I was in Cyprus. Prior to returning to the UK, my subscription expired, and I tried to renew it with my English card. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the transaction because my account was tied to a Bank of Cyprus card. I have now purchased a new subscription with my English card, but I am facing issues with installation as it still refers to my previous Cyprus version and subscription. The payment for the new version has been deducted from my UK account.

I have a 1505lm with two maps on my GPS, Benelux and North America. I attempted to update the North America map, but the power was interrupted during the process. When trying to restart the update, I received a message saying that some items were not updated. I also tried to reset the GPS unit by plugging it in again. Even after removing and reinstalling MyDrive Connect, I faced difficulties updating. The device appears to be stuck on updating, and only the Benelux map is available. I followed various steps, including contacting TomTom customer service and watching videos, but haven't made any progress. I am unsure of what to do next and would appreciate any help.

In the past, I could easily reach a helpful call center for any questions regarding these devices. It was pleasant to have all my inquiries promptly addressed to my satisfaction. Hello, I am having trouble updating my SD card because TomTom Home does not work with Mac OS Catalina. The TomTom GPS is integrated into Renault cars by default (I have a [redacted] Megane). How do you plan to address the compatibility issue with your product and the latest Mac versions? Renault, your chosen partner, has not been able to assist me and directed me to you. I have tried several methods, but now it seems I need to download JavaScript on my computer to make the app you offer for download work, which I find completely unacceptable. I am a basic computer user, not a computer programmer.

I wanted to update our GPS by connecting it to our laptop, but unexpectedly a chat line from TomTom appeared. Without dialing any numbers, they requested our phone number for a callback as they couldn't assist further. Soon after, a tech named Marc Evans from [redacted] Alberta Ltd (iGEOFIX) contacted us at [redacted] ext [redacted]. He claimed to be a Computer and software tech and mentioned driver issues and a Trojan virus, stating the update was completed and pushing a new security protection system. Unfortunately, I mistakenly provided my credit card details, resulting in a fraudulent charge of $[redacted].99 USD. I'm puzzled about how our TomTom connection led to this fraudulent company. They set up a fake email account as [redacted], while our actual email is [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam, I am reaching out as I have encountered difficulties communicating with senior management at your company. In August [redacted], TomTom provided excellent assistance with an issue I had on my device. Recently, the same device has encountered a new problem that appears to be irreparable, despite efforts from your Customer Care team. I was informed that my TomTom GO [redacted] is beyond repair and considered 'end-of-life' due to technical limitations for updated maps. I have received an offer for a 25% discount on a new device purchase from the TomTom Webshop due to my loyalty as a customer, along with added benefits such as Lifetime map updates, speed cameras, and Traffic information. However, there seems to be discrepancy in the discount offer for specific models, creating confusion. While attempting to address this concern and seek further clarification, I have faced challenges in escalating the matter to senior management. I express my disappointment in encountering a similar situation after five years, especially given the advertised lifetime updates. I don't use TomTom. Couriers often mistake my private driveway for a public road leading to Pommernstrasse 1, 3, and 4. I request a map update to reflect that the connecting road from Pommernstrasse to Dorfstrasse is private and a dead end. Google Maps already shows this, but adjustments are needed as Pommernstrasse 1 is our garage. What's labeled as Pommernstrasse 3 should be 1 and 3. Your prompt assistance is appreciated. I have been searching online for information about the features of the TomTom Go [redacted] and the TomTom Discover models. I recently purchased the Go [redacted], primarily for its voice control, ability to make and receive calls through my smartphone, and access to Google Assistant. However, I am finding the Go [redacted] to be slow, which is making me consider returning it. I am interested in potentially purchasing the Discover model instead, but I am unable to find detailed information about its call capabilities and Google Assistant integration. The only information I came across is a general guide on connecting a Discover to a smartphone, which does not specifically address these features. Hallo, ich besitze ein älteres TomTom XL T Europe Navigationsgerät und seit diesem Jahr konnte ich keine Kartenaktualisierungen mehr vornehmen. Ich pflegte die Western-Europe Karte vor meinen jährlichen Urlaubsreisen zu aktualisieren, ohne sie zuvor auf meinem Computer zu speichern. Die alte Karte wurde gelöscht und die neue auf das Navigationsgerät übertragen. Leider kann ich nun keine neuen Karten mehr übertragen, da mein Gerät zu alt ist. Ich habe keine Benachrichtigung erhalten, dass dies nicht mehr möglich sein würde. Nun möchte ich gerne wissen, wie ich die alte vorinstallierte Karte wiederherstellen kann, da ich keine Sicherungskopie angelegt habe. Es wäre großartig, wenn es eine Lösung dafür gäbe. I recently bought an update for my TomTom Start 52 only to discover that Chromebook is not supported by your system. It's frustrating that I paid for the update and cannot use it as intended. Dear Sir/Madam, I am an 84-year-old veteran and not very computer savvy. Yesterday, Sunday the 26th of September, I purchased a Western Europe map online using my Visa credit card on the TomTom site. My order number is [redacted]20. I paid £59.95 for the Europe-1 map for my car radio's satellite navigation system. Although I received the map update, I am unable to download it onto my memory stick. The system keeps prompting me to connect my satellite navigation to the computer, indicating that I might have ordered it incorrectly. As a pensioner, this amount means a lot to me. Hello, I'm experiencing issues updating my TomTom Via52. I was advised by a PC World salesman to use my home wi-fi, but I couldn't find any options to connect to wi-fi on the Via52 screen settings. I then tried to update using my computer, downloaded the latest version of MyDrive, and attempted to log into my account. However, each login attempt failed without clarification. When I tried to create a new account, it also failed without an explanation. Even when I selected "forgot password," that attempt failed as well. I couldn't locate a UK phone number for TomTom to seek assistance. The website experience has left me frustrated, and I'm now considering purchasing a Garmin instead. Thank you, Keith F.

In the past, I appreciated being able to speak with a live representative, although I understand the company's cost-cutting measures. Sadly, my previous attempts to communicate have gone unanswered, which has been disheartening. Despite a negative experience when a map update rendered my device unusable, I continue to choose TomTom for its functionality. However, I now require assistance due to my unique job requirements. As an employee of a Rural Transportation Co. in Tennessee, I transport individuals to various appointments and destinations, including insurance-covered clients and paying customers. My role involves managing numerous addresses across multiple towns, far exceeding the GPS's current capabilities. Additionally, the flash card feature has proven ineffective in saving necessary trip details, and I've encountered errors in the maps that I used to report for correction. While I value TomTom's services and wish to continue praising the brand, I urgently need support to streamline and improve my daily operations.

Order [redacted]86 for a TomTom GO was scheduled for delivery today via UPS. UPS claimed they attempted delivery yesterday, December 1st, saying no one was available, which is untrue as someone was home all day given that we both work from home currently. UPS now insists I collect the package from their facility, which is not feasible for me. I have requested UPS return the item to TomTom. Please process a refund once the item is back in your possession.

I have changed my email address. My new email is [redacted] I have purchased a radar detector to be notified of speed cameras, but it's not sounding an alert for any radars. Everything else is working fine, but the alerts are not working. What should I do? Please reply to me by email.
