I rented a car and declined the insurance as I already had coverage through the booking company. Despite that, I was still charged. I spoke with a rental agent who initiated a refund request. I also contacted the corporate office, and a representative assured me a refund of $[redacted].04 would be processed within 5-7 business days. However, it has been almost a month, and I have yet to receive the refund. The RR number is [redacted]13.

This was my first time renting a car. I wasn't informed that I didn't have to use their insurance and could pay for fuel separately. When my mom noticed the unexpectedly high charges, she spoke to the customer service desk to decline their services. We anticipated a $[redacted] bill but were shocked to see $[redacted] charged with extra fees. The representative mentioned that nothing could be done as the payment was processing and suggested fixing it upon returning the vehicle, which seemed suspicious. When we returned the car, another representative mentioned it should have been resolved on the rental day. It was frustrating to encounter misinformation and deceitful practices. They claimed the transaction could have been canceled and redone, adding to the confusion.

To the concerned party,
I recently rented a car from the Thrifty Hartsfield office in Atlanta, Georgia, and upon receiving the vehicle, your staff member processed the rental cost as a pending payment on my Mastercard.
After three weeks, the rental car experienced mechanical issues, and I contacted roadside assistance. The AAA technician resolved the problem, and your company arranged for a car exchange.
A few days later, I noticed that the pending rental amount no longer appeared on my credit card statement.
I am seeking clarification regarding whether the rental amount was refunded by your company or if there may have been an issue with my bank's transaction.
If the amount was credited back to my credit card by your company, I would appreciate understanding the reason for this adjustment.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
H.K.

Hello,
I am seeking assistance with removing the unexpected "Toll Charges" that appeared on my bill. I was not made aware of these charges prior to payment. Upon discovering them post-payment, the staff member at the counter advised me to request removal at the garage during vehicle pickup. Despite my insistence that she had added the charges without my consent, she declined to remove them instantly.
When I raised the issue with the staff member at the garage, he reassured me that he could remove the charges with no problem, stating, "Sure, I can get it removed, no worries, I got your back."
As I have not yet received any confirmation email regarding this adjustment, I am reaching out to verify the status of the removal process.
Kindly eliminate the "Toll Charges" from the bill as I have no intention of using this service. It was added without my approval and serves no purpose for me. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.
Thank you,
L

I recently returned a rental car to the Denver International Airport with a full tank of gas and was surprised to see a $[redacted].13 charge on my credit card for gas upon return. I have a receipt for the gas showing the time and date of the vehicle's return. I've attempted to contact Thrifty through their provided phone numbers and online forms, but have been unsuccessful. Despite filling out the online form completely, it wasn't submitted due to a glitch. The lack of customer service from Thrifty has left me frustrated with the situation.

Good day,
I am Albert Vasquez, and my reservation number is [redacted]46. When I picked up my car at the IAH airport, I received an electric Chevrolet Bolt EV instead of what I originally paid for online. Unfortunately, I have faced numerous problems with this car due to the difficulty in finding charging stations and restrictions on using the charging app. This has affected my ability to conduct business efficiently, as I constantly need to recharge the car every two hours.
I have been a loyal customer for years, but I am disappointed with the service I have received. Despite my complaints online, I have not received a satisfactory response. I am currently holding onto the car to complete pending work, but I am being charged extra fees. It seems that the company prioritizes its own benefits over customer satisfaction.
I hope that the company can address the issues I have faced and compensate me for the financial loss I experienced due to the inappropriate car assignment.
Thank you, Thrifty

Hello,
During our current vacation in Sweden, we rented a car in Stockholm yesterday. Upon arrival at our accommodation, located nearly a 3.5-hour drive away, we noticed an issue with our Citroen C4 Shine's display. The speedometer, navigation functions, and other displays are not working properly. The car starts, but we are unable to see our speed. A small service symbol flashes yellow upon starting, and a red warning triangle lights up. Unfortunately, our attempts to seek assistance via phone were unsuccessful, leaving us stranded. We hope for a prompt solution as this situation is significantly affecting our vacation experience.
Our car agreement number is: [redacted]6

Michael L.

I recently completed a car rental reservation through Priceline and settled the total amount due. Upon returning the vehicle, we received a receipt showing a charge of $[redacted]. Assuming it was related to Priceline's payment, we didn't question it. To our surprise, my wife's card was charged an additional $[redacted], indicated as damage insurance on the invoice. We already have insurance coverage and did not request nor authorize this service. We never consented to any extra fees. How should we proceed to have these charges refunded? Should we dispute the transaction with the card company or report it to the BBB?

I need help getting my money back. I made a reservation over the phone with Thrifty, where I was assured a Diesel car. However, upon arrival at the Hertz office at the airport, I was told they never have Diesel cars in that category. It seems Thrifty misled me. I tried to cancel the reservation immediately, but Hertz informed me I had to do it through Thrifty. When I called Thrifty, they insisted I must cancel through Hertz. No one is willing to process the cancellation or refund my money. I never took the car and have received no refund. I don't know what else to do, seeking assistance.

Hello!
I'd like to express my gratitude for your help with this matter. Following a recent rental return on 09/22/[redacted] (Rental Record# [redacted]46), I have a query about the $[redacted].00 deposit. This deposit appears on my credit card statement as a charge! Could you please clarify what occurred with the $[redacted].00 deposit? If it was a hold, was the deposit of $[redacted].00 refunded? If so, could you provide the date of the refund? Your help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Best regards,

I booked a car for September 16th to 25th from Bergen airport, but never received a confirmation. I ended up making a second booking, which was confirmed. When I arrived at the airport, I was informed that I had booked two cars when I only needed one. The desk advised me to contact you for compensation regarding the unused car. Please review this matter and provide me with further details.
Thank you,
Andreas

I have been unable to contact anyone via phone or email. Our party arrived at San Francisco International Airport on September 24th. The rental car service desk was very busy and after waiting for about an hour, a representative finally helped us. She located our reservation under the Thrifty reservation number K[redacted]. After providing our credit card, she mentioned that our total estimate would be $[redacted].08. Surprisingly, upon receiving our rental car, we were shocked to find out that the final cost was $[redacted].94, which was considerably higher than expected. This additional cost seems to be due to a higher weekly rate, charges for two extra days, and an unnecessary charge for an extra hour we did not request. Furthermore, the confirmation number on the more expensive receipt was different ([redacted]20) which made me question if a new reservation was inadvertently created. Can you please investigate this discrepancy? Thank you, P. Tozer.

I rented a car with Thrifty under record number [redacted]85. I paid the rental in full through Expedia's website ($[redacted]) for a gas vehicle on 8/9/23. Upon arrival at the Thrifty counter in Boston Logan National Airport, I was informed that I had to upgrade to a gas vehicle for an extra $25 instead of having an electric vehicle for my 5-hour trip to Bar Harbor. Despite not wanting to upgrade, I was charged $[redacted].21 for the "UPGRADE." The additional charges included were unexpected, as I was told it would only be $25 for the upgrade by Brian at the counter. My credit card was charged an extra $[redacted].21 on top of the initial $[redacted]. I believe I shouldn't be paying more than $[redacted] since I had already paid for the rental in full through Expedia. I seek clarification and assistance regarding these excessive charges. Thank you.

I rented a car through your partner, Wisecars, and encountered issues upon pickup at the airport. Despite prepaying $[redacted]+ for the car in advance, I was unexpectedly charged $[redacted]. Upon questioning this, I was pressured into additional insurance which I had declined multiple times. Frustrated, I left a note indicating I signed the contract under pressure. Despite efforts to resolve the issue with corporate, I was directed back to the rental location, which is inconvenient for me. I am now disputing the $[redacted] insurance charge with my bank and request that the unnecessary insurance be canceled, with the charge reversed. Please contact me at rick.madden@gmail or [redacted] to resolve this matter promptly and amicably. Thank you. -Rick Madden

Upon arriving at the Las Vegas airport on November 2, [redacted], to pick up our reserved small rental car with Thrifty, we encountered a frustrating situation. Despite having our paperwork ready, there were no cars available when we reached the pick-up area, leading to long lines and delays. A helpful female representative explained that car washes caused the problem, which apparently occurs every Thursday. After waiting for an hour, we finally received a nice car. This experience has left me hesitant to use Thrifty in the future. Can you assist with this issue? - Gary L.

While at Orlando MCO earlier today, I rented a car from the Thrifty Desk at terminal C. I suspect I left my phone at the desk and I am currently attempting to reach out to them directly. However, I have not found a telephone number that allows me to speak with someone directly. I am eager to discover if my phone has been found as I have recently embarked on a four-week vacation. At the moment, I am three hours away in Rotonda West on the Gulf Coast and can only be reached via landline or email. My details are as follows: Stephen Bruce, landline number [redacted], email [redacted]
