I filed my original tax return using Turbotax for a farm, attaching Schedule F. Unfortunately, there was a bug that caused my Farm Income, which belongs on Line 18, to be placed on Line 12 where Schedule C should be. The return was rejected due to the $[redacted] discrepancy. Despite following the IRS instructions to submit a new return with Schedule C, it also got rejected because of a refund amount difference. After contacting IRS customer service, I was advised by Agent [redacted] to file an amended [redacted] Tax Return using the original with Schedule F. The confusion arose from the misleading instructions on the original return. Despite filing on time, I received a letter falsely claiming I missed the deadline. I aim to correct this within 30 days as directed, to receive my rightful refund. The rushed submission was due to Hurricane Michael's impact, causing me to file without my accountant’s assistance. Considering the disaster's tax relief provisions, I seek understanding and support for my situation.

My [redacted] tax return was filed with Turbotax using the Farm Schedule F. Due to a bug, the Farm Income was mistakenly placed on Line 12 instead of Line 18 where Schedule F should be. As a result, the return was rejected for having $1,[redacted] in the wrong location, and I was told to resubmit with Schedule C, which was incorrect as I needed to use Schedule F. Despite resenting the return with Schedule C, it was rejected again due to a refund amount difference. After contacting the IRS on March 13th, Agent A explained that I could file an Amended [redacted] Tax Return with the original Schedule F. However, a letter claimed my return was late, which was not the case as it was filed on time. I plan to submit the amended return within 30 days. I faced challenges due to Hurricane Michael and had to rush the final filing without my accountant. I believe there should be leniency in light of the disaster situation.

Due to technical issues, the IRS couldn't take my call. I filed my taxes in February, and the child I adopted was claimed by the bio parents, despite living with us all year. We sent in the adoption paperwork to prove legal guardianship. The EIC claim was rejected as the child's Social Security number was missing. I believe we used her new name without updating it with the Social Security office. I need to confirm her old last name matches her SSN on file. We've provided proof that she's exclusively our dependent. This should be a simple fix once we speak with someone. Thank you.

Hello! I'm Britni Evans, and I'm seeking an extension for my [redacted] taxes. Throughout [redacted], I held three jobs but I can't locate two of my W2 forms. As a result, I aim to request new copies. While attempting to file with the W2 I have, it got rejected as the IRS noted an error with my [redacted] Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) figure. I retrieved my [redacted] tax return from H&R Block to get the correct AGI, but after three attempts, the IRS still rejected it. I'm working to resolve this issue, secure an extension, and eventually report all my W2s to the IRS. Despite my efforts to file for an extension online, I am facing difficulties obtaining the necessary forms. My goal is to avoid penalties by fulfilling my tax obligations accurately and punctually.

I encountered issues when e-filing due to a mismatch in my social security number and birthdate. I am confident that the information provided is accurate, as I have successfully filed in the past. Receiving my refund is essential, and I anticipate delays due to this error. I resorted to mailing the documents on April 15th after facing challenges submitting them online. Despite attempts to contact support via phone, I have not received assistance. I would appreciate guidance on resolving this matter promptly, considering the impact of such delays on my refund.

I have some questions and concerns regarding my tax preparation and the [redacted]-C form. After my bankruptcy was discharged, the debt was forgiven and considered as part of my income, which mainly consists of Social Security and a Pension. The tax service informed me that this forgiven debt should be included in my tax return, resulting in a significant tax bill. I am seeking clarification from the IRS on whether debt that has been forgiven through bankruptcy should indeed be treated as income in tax preparation, leading to the unexpected tax liability I am now facing.

The IRS requested an insurance form and another form for [redacted], which I was not aware of. I did not have insurance that year, so I don't understand why they are threatening me to pay back an unspecified amount. I have made nine unsuccessful attempts to contact the IRS through different channels and have now abandoned trying to reach them. The "Where's My Refund" button is not functioning properly as it claims it cannot provide my personal information, despite my efforts to verify my identity.

My sister, who is my beneficiary, is a non-resident alien with an SSN issued in the 1990s. She has since gotten married, and we visited the SS office around a decade ago. We were informed that her SS card cannot be updated to show her married name due to post-9/11 rule changes. To facilitate the distribution of assets in her name, she requires either her outdated SSN or an ITIN. Can she use her old SSN or apply for an ITIN? Your ITIN information indicates she can apply if she lacks an SSN or is ineligible for one. She currently holds an SSN that does not display her married name.

My spouse and I decided to hire a bookkeeper recommended by a friend to assist with our taxes. However, upon dropping off our paperwork, I expected to review everything as she inputted it. Instead, she informed me it would take two weeks for data entry and another week to receive confirmation from the IRS. Since February 4, [redacted], she has been unresponsive to calls, emails, and her voicemail is full. She claimed her lack of communication was due to her mother's illness. After several attempts, she promised to have our taxes done by the following Monday but only responded when we visited her house after waiting for three weeks. Despite handing over what seemed to be filed paperwork, the IRS has no record of our taxes being submitted electronically on March 25, [redacted]. This situation has strained my marriage, and I'm seeking the truth as she mentioned the lack of IRS confirmation was due to her email registration on the software, which sounds suspicious to me.

We sent our 1st quarter [redacted] estimated tax payment on April 13th via Certified Mail to the IRS Service Center at PO Box [redacted], San Francisco 94[redacted]. According to the tracking information (7[redacted] 0[redacted] [redacted]), the letter arrived at the San Francisco Post Office on April 18th but was not delivered to the intended recipient. The contact number we have for the San Francisco Post Office goes to a full voicemail. Our check remains uncashed, suggesting it was not simply a scanning oversight upon receipt. We are requesting the San Francisco office to inspect the PO Box to determine if our payment is still inside, possibly stuck, or in another location within the Post Office.

Hello and good morning. My name is Booker Ballard. We were supposed to receive our refund on April 24th, but last night, a code [redacted] appeared and we have not received it. Last year, we faced hardship - I am a disabled veteran, my wife has severe health issues, and we are raising a grandson. Losing our house last year was challenging. We rely on this refund, set to be sent to my wife's smionecard. We already sent our information twice last year and twice this year as requested. Resolving last year's dispute over student loans not belonging to us was difficult. We also care for a special needs adult child. We can't handle this again. Our vehicles need servicing for doctor visits. As a disabled veteran, we urgently need these funds. We have never experienced issues in 20 years. How can we resolve this matter promptly?
Thank you,
Booker and Grillena Ballard

I need to correct my [redacted] tax return. When I filed my [redacted] returns last year, I discovered it was incomplete and didn't get submitted. I plan to use TurboTax to resubmit, but I need the deluxe package and some assistance. I am waiting for my next paycheck to cover the costs. I thought I owed the IRS for [redacted], so I sent $[redacted], but now know I only owe if I receive a notice. My [redacted] return has been approved but I received a notice regarding the payment instead of the return. I am unsure how to proceed with fixing this.

We have rectified errors on some [redacted]-MISC forms for our agents. Unfortunately, one agent received an IRS notice as the correction appeared as a new [redacted] instead. It is possible that more agents experienced similar issues; however, we cannot identify them accurately. If we re-submit corrections for all affected agents and it turns out the corrections were initially accurate, will there be any repercussions from the IRS? Our aim is to ensure that all corrections made to 2[redacted]s are categorized correctly. Would it be acceptable to resubmit the corrections without facing penalties? Your prompt guidance on this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Grace V.

I utilized a service called TaxBack to submit my tax returns. My concern is that TaxBack did not file for my federal tax refunds correctly. They stated that I am only eligible for a $[redacted].17 state refund despite my W-2 showing $[redacted].51 in federal taxes withheld. My total income before deductions was $7,[redacted].81. TaxBack mentioned that I owe the IRS $49, which I paid through their site. Oddly enough, my colleagues who used TurboTax received their full federal refunds. Upon checking TurboTax, I discovered that I should be receiving the full federal refund of $[redacted].51. Unfortunately, I was unable to file for it as TaxBack had already submitted my information with the incorrect details. I attempted to contact the IRS, but due to international calling issues, I kept getting disconnected. A representative mentioned that my tax returns were not filed with my complete income from the W-2 forms before I lost connection. I am seeking guidance on how to resolve this and claim my full refund.

Hello,
I separated from my husband in San Diego and returned to Sweden three years ago. Our divorce was finalized in Sweden two years ago, but he has not updated his marital status in the U.S. I suspect he might be falsely claiming me as his spouse on his tax filings. He requested my SSN two years ago, which I did not provide, but I fear he or his mother might have access to my SSN. I believe he is misleading the IRS by stating I am in the U.S. and he supports me financially, even though we have been apart for years.
I currently reside in Sweden and seek assistance to address this issue. I can provide his SSN and mine, along with emails requesting my information for tax purposes. Please advise where I can submit this evidence.
I want to prevent any misuse of my identity, particularly for unlawful purposes.
Appreciate your help,
Asli Karaman

Hello, I have a question about tax deductions from my recent paycheck. Typically, my paycheck is consistent with the same pay and taxes deducted each week. However, this week my pay is lower than usual even though I worked a bit more. It seems that the state income tax of IL has been deducted over $20 more than usual. I am aware that more income usually results in higher deductions, but I am puzzled as to why my pay is lower despite working more hours. I have not made any changes to my tax forms with my employer, so I am confused as to why the State of IL income tax deduction has almost doubled. Even with just an hour of overtime, such a significant increase doesn't make sense to me. My employer couldn't explain this discrepancy and suggested I reach out to the IRS. Any insights or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I submitted my taxes in January, almost 10 days before the IRS could accept them, and I'm still waiting for my refund. I received one letter about two months ago saying they didn't need more info, just verification. Then, about a month later, I got another letter saying to call them if I haven't received it by May 6th. But you can't even reach anyone! It's all recordings and no real help. How do you get the money you're owed? They penalize us if we're late, but then take forever themselves. It's unfair. They should face the same penalties. We're all equal taxpayers. It's frustrating dealing with this kind of bureaucracy.

Hello, my name is Tassoula Elisa Nicolaou-Jones. I have been working with People's Tax Relief to address my tax debt from [redacted] to [redacted]. They were supposed to remove my IRS interest charges, and I have been making bi-weekly payments of $[redacted] until April. Additionally, on the 1st of each month, $19.99 is deducted from my account for necessary filing paperwork. I am attempting to contact Sharon, who is handling my case, and my case number is [redacted]. I would like to determine the total amount I owe the IRS for the mentioned years, including all interest charges, to verify the progress in reducing my debt. People's Tax Relief informed me about a CP14 form from the IRS that I am yet to receive. Thank you.

I received a letter from the IRS stating a notice of levy on my wages. I am trying to set up a payment plan online but am struggling to find the correct site. I have only been able to see the options for compliance. The site is requesting my filed return, but I have encountered issues when attempting to file it. Unfortunately, I ran out of time as it was the deadline day for filing. Despite reaching out for assistance through phone calls over the past three days, I have been continuously put on hold. My schedule is extremely busy as I work two full-time jobs from early morning to late evening five days a week, with additional hours on Saturdays. Currently, I have been on hold with the IRS for 28 minutes. Any guidance or support would be greatly appreciated.
