I have a concern about your rewards program requesting my Social Security Number or Tax Payer ID#. The Social Security program advises against giving out such information, so I am hesitant to provide it.
Given the prevalence of hackers, it seems like a risky request for customers. I have been a loyal shopper at TJ Maxx and Marshalls but this policy gives me pause about shopping with you in the future.
If you could provide a clear explanation for this requirement, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I may need to reconsider my shopping choices.

I recently bought sheets from Marshalls/HomeGoods in Puente Hills, CA on 06/04/[redacted]. I tried to return them on 06/05/[redacted] at the Marshalls in Anaheim, CA, with my receipt, but they wouldn't allow the return since the sheets were from HomeGoods. The sheets don't specify which store they came from, let alone that I bought them at Marshalls/HomeGoods. I don't understand why they refused the return. Instead, I was informed I'd have to drive 15 miles to a HomeGoods or a Marshalls/HomeGoods. This experience is making me reconsider shopping at TJMaxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls because it inconveniences customers and wastes their time and gas just to return something to a specific location not clearly indicated on the receipt or item.

During a recent shopping trip at a Pond store in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I encountered an issue with a clearance item that was missing a price tag. After waiting for 30 minutes, I was given a price of $29.99, which seemed high compared to a similar item priced at $25. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the manager attempted to verify the price with another store but returned claiming it was $60, which felt unfair. Despite initially quoting me $29.99, the manager refused to honor that price. As a frequent shopper at TJ Maxx who spends significant amounts, I was disappointed by the poor treatment received. The manager's rudeness and the significant price increase led me to leave the store empty-handed, feeling upset and frustrated. I find Light in the Box's returns policy extremely complicated and discouraging to customers looking to make legitimate returns. I am now seeking a reversal through my Mastercard (TJX Rewards card) as I am unable to return the product. The Mastercard complaint process takes 60 days, while Light in The Box's return policy allows only 7 to 14 days from product delivery. I made a $[redacted] purchase and now I feel like I might have to forfeit the money!

I recently made a purchase on T.J. Maxx's website with the lure of free shipping. Unfortunately, the boots I received were too small and needed to be returned. I was disappointed to learn that exchanges were not an option. When I contacted customer service, I discovered they had deducted a return shipping fee which caught me off guard. Had I known about the fee, I would've considered keeping the boots or giving them to a friend. The customer service representative mentioned I could have returned the item to a store, however, the nearest one is quite far from me. This experience has left me feeling dissatisfied and I doubt I'll be making future purchases with T.J. Maxx.

I am writing about order [redacted] for 3 sets of outdoor chairs placed on 6/21/23. After receiving two of the three sets on 6/27, I was informed that the missing set would ship the next day, but it did not. Upon checking on 7/5, I learned that the chairs were sold out, leaving me with a mismatched set. Despite multiple calls to customer service, I was only refunded for 2 of the 6 chairs as they were declared lost. I was disappointed by the delay in offering a refund and the inconvenience of having to return the chairs to the store. It is frustrating that I was not promptly offered a replacement or refund. I recently made a purchase at the Baton Rouge Store on Seign Lane using cash, specifically [redacted]-dollar bills. However, the cash clerk put them in the machine and they were all rejected, causing me embarrassment. I had to resort to using a card instead. Subsequently, I visited another store where my [redacted]-dollar bills were accepted without any issue. Please ensure that your machines are working properly to avoid this situation in the future. I want to clarify that my bank provided me with these bills, and I am aware they are authentic. I prefer using cash over credit cards, so I hope this issue can be addressed promptly. I placed an order on July 9, and unfortunately, it was delivered to my old address due to not updating it since I hadn't ordered online in a year. The order number is [redacted], and I received a photo of the package on my old front porch. I don't know the new residents there and don't want to have to drive far to confront them. I'm worried they might keep the package and deny receiving it, but I can prove it was left on the porch. This is quite inconvenient as I needed the item for a baby shower tomorrow. Any suggestions on what I could do in this situation would be greatly appreciated.

During a recent visit to the store in Pembroke, MA, I encountered an unexpected situation at the checkout. The clerk asked if I wanted to join a club but did not mention that it involved signing up for a credit card. Without realizing, I agreed and used my debit card to complete the purchase. Afterwards, I was given some paperwork along with my receipt and informed that a credit card would be sent to me by mail. I am now concerned about receiving a bill for a credit card I didn't intend to apply for. I reside outside of MA and am worried about the impact this could have on my credit score.

Dear Customer Service,
I recently purchased a sheet set at TJM in Southgate, Michigan, while on vacation. Upon returning home to Paris and opening the package, I discovered that the fitted sheet was heavily wrinkled with some fuzz on it. Although the flat sheet was in good condition, I was disappointed to find that the two pillowcase covers were missing. I have attached photos of the sheets and the receipt for your reference.
Given that I live in Paris, returning the item to the store in person is not possible for me. As a loyal TJM customer for over 40 years, I kindly request either a refund or a replacement set of sheets to address this issue.

I purchased a raincoat from your store a few months ago because it was nice and reasonably priced, despite being out of season. When I recently found a security tag still attached while packing for a vacation, I was surprised. I cannot recall which store I bought it from, but it has a TJ Maxx tag. I visited one of your stores to have the tag removed, but they requested a receipt, which I no longer have. I expected an apology from the manager for the oversight and inconvenience caused. I am a loyal customer but was disappointed with the service at the Richardson TX store. I have checked my transactions with TJ Maxx to locate the purchase. I received a book with order number [redacted] for decorative purposes. Unfortunately, when I removed the decorative piece on top, I noticed the cover is discolored. Yesterday, I purchased a luggage at TJ Maxx on South Canal Street in Chicago, IL. Unfortunately, I found the quality to be poor and wanted to exchange it. However, I had a negative experience with two employees who were rude to me. They spoke to me disrespectfully and even made fun of my English proficiency. As a tourist spending over $[redacted] USD in that store, I believe this is unacceptable customer service. One of the ladies, who is Latin and speaks Spanish, was disrespectful, and the other, whom I believe is new, had black curly hair. Thank you.

Purchased a sweater along with other items but discovered the sweater was missing from my bag when I got home. Upon returning to the store, they were unable to locate it and suggested it might have been placed back on the floor. This was frustrating as the cashier should have been aware it was still at her station. I had to drive back to the store, which took an additional 20 minutes, to find another one. I believe there are issues with your system as someone with retail experience, I'm familiar with standard procedures.
