I reserved a room at Super 8 in Universal City, TX. Upon arrival for check-in, I was surprised to be asked for a $40 deposit, even though I planned to pay with a card. The staff insisted it was their policy, despite no visible notice in the motel. I inquired with another guest, who confirmed she had not been charged a deposit. I feel discriminated against, possibly due to my tax exemption following a house fire.

I had a terrible experience at a Super Eight in West Monroe. The management was incredibly rude when I tried to collect my deposit. They claimed the room was too dirty and wouldn't return my $[redacted]. Despite checking the room beforehand, they cited minor issues like tortilla chips on the floor, a small black stain on the sheet, and some ashes on the table (it was a smoking room). The manager would not let me take photos and was very disrespectful, even yelling at me. When I left my phone in the office and she accused me of trespassing, she made me leave the property and claimed she gave my phone to the Westborough City Police Department, who have no record of it.

I recently stayed at Super 8 in Collinsville, IL for a week. Upon checking out on September 10th, I was billed $[redacted] as expected. However, I was also charged $[redacted] for a smoking deposit on the same day, even though I was in a smoking room. I spoke to the manager, Elaine, who insisted I pay or be evicted, so I left immediately. After disputing the charges with my bank, I later discovered another $[redacted] charge on September 12th. Despite not being there on that date, Peggy at Super 8 claimed I was. I'm dismayed by these unexpected fees totaling $[redacted] for a subpar room. I filed a complaint with my bank and have photos of the room. I request a refund of $[redacted], $[redacted], and $[redacted]. Please stop charging my account without authorization. My name is William S. and you can contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.

While staying at the Super 8 Austin North at [redacted] N. IH 35 in Austin, TX, I experienced inappropriate behavior from the manager, Anthony N. After refusing his advances, he called the police and had me and my three-year-old son kicked out of the hotel. I was then denied a full refund even though I hadn't stayed the entire day. I find this behavior unacceptable and plan to take legal action to address the situation properly. It's important that actions like these are not overlooked or ignored, and I intend to make sure this matter is dealt with accordingly.

I need to cancel a reservation I made today at the Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Center/MPLS, situated at [redacted] James Circle, Brooklyn Center, MN [redacted]. Upon arrival, the first room I was assigned had flies and no functioning heat. After informing the on-duty manager, I was moved to another room due to the heater issue. Unfortunately, the heat in the second room was also not working, and despite various attempts to address the issue, I have not had any luck. A phone call to the front desk led to a disappointing interaction with a rude female customer service representative who claimed there was no working heat in the entire hotel. It seems I was misled when being asked to change rooms. I am requesting a full refund and any further compensation due to this incident. I have filed a complaint with the police, and the report number is [redacted]17. Please contact me at [redacted] Thank you.

I stayed at Super 8 in Mansfield, LA on 26th Aug [redacted]. As a disabled veteran with a registered service dog, I faced an unsettling situation during check-in when the staff insisted on seeing my dog's license displayed on his vest, questioning the legitimacy of my service dog and my disability. Despite explaining my PTSD from Iraq and a gunshot wound, I was allowed to check in. However, my room was far from satisfactory; the microwave was rusted and paint-peeling, likely from previous illegal activities. To my shock, I found a used condom on the floor, a stranger's shower sponge, and unsanitary conditions throughout. The manager promised a refund but has failed to follow through, even charging me $20 for my service dog without refunds.

Yesterday, my father Arnold d. Avalos, my mother Selena Anne Simpson, my best friend, and my husband Steven l. Simpson Jr. went to the Super 8 Motel in El Cajon off Magnolia Ave around 3-3:30 PM. When my husband and I handed the motel clerk our IDs for verification, she noticed an issue with my husband's ID picture. She stated she needed to check something and retreated behind the counter. Upon her return, she refused service citing concerns regarding the credit card used for payment. I seek clarification and request any documentation regarding this incident. Please contact me via email at [redacted] or phone at +61-[redacted]. Thank you, and have a blessed day.

During my stay at SUPER EIGHT in Richfield, Ohio on June 7, around midnight, I was disturbed when someone attempted to enter my room with a key. Despite claiming various reasons like retrieving condoms or a billfold, the situation was suspicious. I had to call the police as the individuals persisted even after being asked to leave. The man outside even resorted to yelling obscenities through a call from another phone in the motel. The police mentioned they receive peculiar complaints from this hotel. Although I spoke to the manager the next day and received an apology, the incident left me anxious. Being a 75-year-old solo traveler, such an encounter was distressing. My confirmation number is 8663EC014009, assigned to room #[redacted].

We mistakenly booked a hotel on 39th Street and May Avenue. After checking in, we had issues with keys not working in three rooms and found the sheets were not cleaned. Additionally, the WiFi is still not working despite contacting the front desk multiple times without any resolution. To make matters worse, we woke up with bites and my daughter, who suffers from anxiety, experienced the same. Trying to address these concerns with the front desk has been unsuccessful and frustrating. We appreciate any assistance as this situation is challenging for my daughter. In comparison to Meridian, where we have stayed before, the service here has not been satisfactory. We hope for a prompt resolution to these issues. Thank you for your help.

I was charged $[redacted].00 for a 2-night stay on my card for my son as a guest through Booking.com. Even though my son showed the front desk clerk the email reservation and confirmation, she claimed it wasn't in the system and was unhelpful and rude. After contacting Booking.com, they confirmed the reservation was in the system. However, when I called the hotel again, a male staff member said my son needed to pay an additional $[redacted].00 for a deposit. The lack of assistance and rudeness from the staff was disappointing, especially considering the room rate was only $67.50 per night. This occurred at the Super 8 in Oaklawn, IL. I am dissatisfied with this experience and would like to be contacted by the Corporate CEO.

I used my Cash App card to make a reservation, but the hotel wouldn't allow me to pay for the room because I didn't have the physical card with me. Even though I showed them the card on my phone and my ID to prove it was mine, they insisted on the physical card. It's puzzling that they gave me until 4 a.m. to cancel with no fee, yet they charged me at 2:35 a.m. when I couldn't pay for the room. They wouldn't let me stay without the card but had no problem taking the money without giving me a room. As a US veteran who loves my country, I'm disappointed by this treatment and feel the need to escalate the issue.

I have been attempting to rent a room at your Fallbrook location but unfortunately, I have been disconnected numerous times by customer service and the manager. Despite several attempts over the past week and a half, I have not been able to secure a reservation. Due to financial constraints related to the pandemic, I am seeking a lower rate in a safer part of town to avoid any security issues. I have requested to speak with a manager, but have not had any success reaching the location. I am interested in booking a room at your Fallbrook location near Atascocita/Houston for two weeks from today until the 20th at a rate between $[redacted] and $[redacted]. Please contact me at [redacted] at your earliest convenience to finalize the reservation. Thank you.

I recently stayed at a budget hotel in Fayetteville, Arkansas two weeks ago, and accidentally left my ID at the front desk. When I asked the staff to check the security cameras, they couldn't, but mentioned the manager could. After contacting the manager, they assured me they would look into it. However, when I returned to stay a few more nights, I was informed that I couldn't due to a smell of smoke in the room, even though I never smoked inside. I believe this is in retaliation for raising the ID issue. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this Super 8 due to these issues. Additionally, I noticed the air conditioning filters were not cleaned properly. I hope we can find a resolution soon before I have to involve legal action. Thank you.

My car was stolen from the parking lot of a Super 8 in Spokane Valley. When the police arrived, they couldn't access the security camera footage. Later, a staff member entered my room without permission and accused me of smoking, even though I wasn't. The employee smoking area was right outside my window, and I had seen them there all morning. They then gave me 20 minutes to leave, making me feel uncomfortable. I was stranded without transportation or belongings. To make matters worse, they charged my card multiple times and took extra deposits, leaving me with no money. This has been the worst experience, and something needs to be done to address this mistreatment. I am still stuck in the same town with nothing.

After plugging in my laptop, a spark came from the wall, causing it to shut off and display a gray screen upon restarting. Seeking assistance from the front desk resulted in being incorrectly blamed for placing the laptop near the TV. I rely on my laptop for work, and this situation has left me in a difficult position, currently sleeping in my car. Furthermore, I have evidence of staff misleading me during phone calls. This experience has been frustrating, and I hope for a resolution that is fair and avoids further escalation.

I recently started working at Super 8 Siloam Springs, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by the behavior of the owner, Kevin Patel. During my interview, he made inappropriate comments about my weight multiple times, which made me uncomfortable. On my first day, he continued to make hurtful remarks, including calling me names and questioning my intelligence. He also left me alone without proper training and threatened to deduct money from my paycheck for any mistakes. The presence of offensive symbols in the laundry room added to my distress. This negative experience has discouraged me as I had high hopes for a career as a front desk agent. Kevin Patel's behavior was unacceptable, and it led me to leave the job, feeling upset and disappointed.

During our stay at Super 8 in Dodgeville, WI, we encountered various disappointments. Initially, we were charged $[redacted].80 plus tax per night, despite expecting a rate of $80 based on the website. The room itself was not up to standard; it was dirty with smudged mirrors and a filthy floor. The shower had a water flow issue, the remote didn't work, and the refrigerator and microwave were unclean. We paid in cash but had to request a receipt. The thermostat malfunctioned, making our stay uncomfortable with a chilly room at 67°. Breakfast offerings were limited to granola bars, and noise from other guests disrupted our rest. This experience was a far cry from previous satisfactory stays at other Super 8 locations, leaving us extremely dissatisfied given the price paid. Despite considering leaving, exhaustion and late hour kept us from doing so. I hope for a prompt resolution as I have been a loyal patron of Super 8 and Wyndham resorts in the past.

I attempted to make a reservation online, but my card was not accepted. I tried another card with the same result. The online rate is more affordable, and since I will be staying for a month or two, I cannot afford to have $[redacted].60 tied up like this. I had to withdraw cash to pay for one night after the card decline, but then I noticed you charged the card, which was not authorized. This has put me in a difficult situation as I need the funds or a refund. I have an elderly uncle with me, and we cannot risk being without accommodation. Thank you.

I worked at a Super 8 in North Carolina for two months, and I am struggling to get my paycheck from them. They claim my family has the check but refuses to send it, and they say they cannot issue a new one because it would cost money. I tried to have a check sent to me, but they also mentioned the cost as a barrier. I am willing to cover the expenses from my check to receive my money. After waiting for a month, I am now considering reaching out to the corporate office, but the phone numbers listed on their page seem to be out of service. I am hoping for assistance to resolve this issue promptly so I can receive my paycheck. Thank you.

I made a reservation through Expedia, but upon arriving at the hotel, we encountered multiple issues. The initial room we were assigned had an open door and a fridge in the bathtub. After requesting a new room, we discovered it was poorly maintained, with unpleasant odors and stains on the beds. We promptly decided to move to another hotel. The front desk staff acknowledged the problems and advised us to seek a refund through Expedia. Despite our efforts, the hotel refused the refund initially. Following a conversation with the general manager, Priscilla, she agreed to consider the refund if contacted by Expedia. However, upon reaching out, she denied our request, providing false information about our stay duration. We have urged Priscilla to review security footage, but she claimed not to have access. The situation is unacceptable, and there seems to be a lack of honesty from the hotel staff. It is crucial that this issue is addressed and resolved promptly.
