Hello, yesterday around 3:30 pm, I unfortunately fell victim to a scam called the "I accidentally reported you." The scam began at 3:30 pm yesterday and lasted until about 12:30 pm today. At the time, I believed it was a genuine issue, but later discovered it was a scam from my older brother's friend. I have spent the day contemplating how to recover from this situation and have finally decided to take action at around 10:00 pm. I am unable to access my account as the scammer has changed the email and password. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Steam Support,
I fell for a link a friend sent me on Discord offering free Discord Nitro for 3 months. Now a third party has access to my Steam account that has a lot of my personal information and financial details connected to it. Is there any way I can prove my ownership and regain control of my account? I acknowledge my mistake and hope to resolve the situation without losing all the money I've invested in games. I have created a temporary account as well. Please let me know if you need any of my account details.
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
Kewave

Hello,
I recently received a Valve Index Kit from GLS today, but unfortunately, the package was empty upon delivery. I noticed there is brown duct tape at the bottom of the box, indicating it was opened at some point. I have already filed a ticket with Steam Support (Ticket: HT-5W7C-889G-MXCB) and reached out to GLS, who advised me to contact Steam Support as well. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue via phone and email, I have been unable to get a timely response.
This is a significant purchase for me, and I am eager to have this matter addressed promptly. I am willing to provide pictures of the package and will hold onto it until the situation is resolved. Any assistance or information regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. All I want is to receive my VR kit as soon as possible.
Thank you.

I am having issues with my refund requests being rejected. I purchased the game Icarus in beta but realized that my computer cannot handle it well. I requested a refund but was denied without any explanation, just an automated response. Despite multiple attempts, my refund was still rejected, and now I fear I might have been flagged for abusing refunds. I need this refund urgently as $27 is a significant amount for me to spend on a game I can't enjoy. I have uninstalled the game and am open to exchanging it for something I can use. Please address this promptly before I escalate the matter further. Thank you.

Hello, I had a Steam account under the username "bylochino_xd" linked to the email [redacted] and phone number [redacted]3. Recently, I received an email alerting me to someone attempting to log into my account, prompting me to change my password. When I tried to log in on August 20, [redacted], after a break, I discovered that both my phone number and email had been removed from the account. Despite my efforts to recover it, I was unsuccessful. I have no credit on the account, but all my game progress, including RuneScape, Albion Online, and EVE Online, is saved there. I am seeking assistance to regain access as the email linked to it has been changed. I can provide all necessary proof of ownership. I am located in Egypt and have never visited Russia, contrary to the account activity indicating logins from there. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am reaching out regarding my son's Steam account, Awooga13. Sadly, the account has been compromised, and he is unable to access it since the password and email address were altered. This is causing great distress to my 11-year-old son. I believe my bank card was linked to the account adding to the concern.
Another worry is that he added his Metro Bank account details to his Steam account. I fear someone might be misusing this information. His username is Awooga13, the email on the account is [redacted], and the display name is FYNNX. Despite attempts to log in today, an error message indicates the email address is not valid.
I am hopeful that Steam can verify him as the rightful account owner by examining the history of bank cards associated with the account. We preemptively appreciate your prompt assistance with this matter.
Sincerely,
Nick

I bought 4 cards for $50 at Walgreens in Moore, Oklahoma. Two worked, but the other two are showing as already used, which is not correct. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to lose $[redacted]. The store won't refund me, and after trying different websites, I encountered one trying to charge me $46 for answers. I just want to know why these two cards aren't working as they are still in my possession with the numbers scratched by me and no one else having access to them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My account was compromised, and the email was altered. The account name "ousmxnie" was changed from my original username "Ou$". I had various games like Valheim, Outward, Absolver, Nioh 2, Project Winter, etc., acquired through CD keys shared by my brother; I did not purchase any using my debit card. Approximately a week ago, I was logged out and unable to regain access using my password. When attempting to recover my account through email, only my past accounts, not the current one, appeared. Searching for my account name revealed it linked to a different email address. I understand this may be a common issue and would appreciate any assistance available to rectify the situation. I am open to any solution you can provide. Thank you for your support, and please reach out via email for further assistance.

I received a trade link for a CS:GO knife skin from someone, and unfortunately, after clicking on it, my account was compromised. Steam requested that I log back in, but when I tried to reset my password, the reset email was sent to the wrong account, "leon_zephyr_strider," instead of my actual account, "l3on_str1der". Upon regaining access, I noticed my friends and wish lists were missing, along with undownloaded games, and borrowed games from the display name "Noobface McGee". It seems like a straightforward task for the service providers to locate and amend specific account details like connected accounts. I can provide proof of purchase if necessary.

My Gmail account has been hacked, and the person changed all my information. Every time I try to log in to my accounts, I receive a confirmation email that the hacker uses to change the login details. I recently bought a new gaming PC to play GTA V, which I purchased over four years ago, but I can't remember the last four digits you require to regain access. I'm reaching out to you for help because I can't afford to buy the game again. Please lock the account, update the email address, and help me access it. I'd appreciate your assistance. I may have used card ending in [redacted] for any transactions.

My account has been locked due to "suspected fraudulent activity" despite me spending $[redacted] on my Counter-Strike inventory legitimately. I am unable to trade, buy, sell, or even change my mobile authentication due to the lockout. I have contacted Steam over 25 times, but my tickets are automatically closed. I urgently need to speak with a real person as the system is not providing any assistance. I insist on regaining access to my virtual property, which I've acquired lawfully. I feel like I may need to pursue legal action since Steam is not offering any explanation or support after my substantial investment in the platform.

My account was hacked, and the hacker made it look like I was about to be banned. They then coerced me into transferring all my in-game items to a friend's account, who turned out to be impersonated by another person. The items, valued at $[redacted]-$[redacted], ended up in the wrong hands. Despite using Steam Guard for security, I was still a victim of hacking and scamming. This situation is not only my fault but also a failure on the platform's end. I am frustrated and troubled, having sent five emails already in the early morning hours seeking a prompt response. Please rectify this issue and help me recover my items.

I clicked on a free Discord Nitro link that appeared legitimate. Unfortunately, I unknowingly entered all the authentication codes without checking the "Location," which showed "Russian Federation." Subsequently, I received emails from my Gmail account notifying me that my phone number and email had been removed from my account. Consequently, I am unable to sign in, although my account remains open on my laptop due to the password entry blocker. I have evidence of my account, including credit card information and keys.

I recently purchased a €20 Steam card, but unfortunately, while redeeming it, I accidentally damaged the second row of the code, making it nearly illegible. Can you please assist me with this issue? Thank you in advance. I kindly request a quick resolution.
Many thanks to the Steam Support Team. I previously reached out to Steam, but unfortunately, they were unable to help me. On my card, the middle letters or numbers are unreadable, and they did not offer any assistance. If anyone else experiences a similar issue, it seems the card is unusable since they simply do not provide help. Nonetheless, thank you again.

I suspect that my account has been compromised, and my email address has been changed. While playing Doom Eternal on my account "danteserra112," I took a short break and left the game paused. Upon returning, a Steam window notified me that I had been locked out and requested me to re-enter my information. However, my password was no longer accepted. Attempting to rectify the issue through the "I can't sign in - I forgot my Steam Account name or password" option led me to discover that my email is now linked to another account named "ak1807." My attempts to resolve the matter through Steam support have been hindered by the requirement to provide the current email, which I am unable to access. I am unsure of how to proceed and fear losing access to my account permanently. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am having trouble logging in with my correct username and password. When attempting to recover my account with my phone number, Steam indicates there are no accounts linked to the number despite me receiving a verification code recently. My email was changed without my consent along with my Steam Guard. When checking my email, the one associated with my Steam account, I noticed someone tried to access my account by removing all authentication tools, including my phone number and email address. I have already changed my email password, but Steam support via the web client has not responded to my request. I need assistance in recovering my account to avoid losing access to my game library.

Hello, my name is Andreas K. O-A. Stokkkedal, and my Steam account has been hacked. I've been searching for weeks on how to contact Steam support to recover my account. I have finally found this email address and would like to request assistance in regaining access to my account. On 6th September, my account named andy1784 was compromised, as I received a notification that my phone number was removed. Upon trying to log in, I discovered I was unable to access my account and found it subscribed to numerous Russian newspapers and ads without my consent.
In order to verify my ownership of the account, I can provide details of the account creation date, which I believe was around 11th September [redacted]. The email linked to the account is [redacted], and the associated phone number is [redacted]1. I can also provide bank transaction records associated with the account as proof. Unfortunately, I only have Gyazo screenshots as proof. I understand that my skins may be lost, but my main priority is to recover my account with all my games and friends. Any assistance in recovering my skins would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andreas K. O-A. Stokkkedal

I bought two games on September 16, [redacted]: Crusader Kings 3 and Europa Universalis IV, both requiring the Paradox Launcher. I've spent three weeks trying to launch them following your support instructions without success. I've made sure all files were installed correctly in the properties, ran diagnostics checks, but nothing helped. I've played each game for less than 2 hours, hoping they would eventually work, but now I realize they won't. I'm disappointed and looking to get a refund of $51.82 to my Discover credit card since I can't request it online after 2 weeks, although I meet the game time requirement.

I recently received a message from someone claiming to be "Wheatley" (Dennis Geels) demanding $[redacted] to avoid deactivating my account. Another user, "Lyrech," accidentally reported me as spam, causing this issue. Wheatley's behavior was aggressive and unprofessional, making me suspect a hacking attempt. I've lost access to my account and games, so I request for it to be reactivated. It's unacceptable for your company to threaten users for money or allow hackers to exploit the system in this manner.

After receiving a refund for the game Rust due to it not working properly on my laptop, Steam unexpectedly deducted the refunded amount again from my account, causing an overdraft in my bank. Despite deleting all Steam and Rust files from my computer, the initial refund issue stemmed from the game launching but the servers failing to work, resulting in constant crashes and an inability to play. Furthermore, the recorded 4 hours of game time solely involved attempting to connect to a server without success.
