Hello, recently I made a trade offer to my friend, A.C., and put some items for him. The offer was accepted, but when I asked him, he said that the items weren't in his inventory and that he never accepted any trade offers. I checked my offer again and it was sent to someone who isn't on my friend list but has the same name. Now, I want my items returned to me or given to the person I intended them for. Please respond to this as soon as possible.

I fell victim to a scam involving Steam gift cards, Google Play, Amazon, iTunes, and Western Union transfers by someone from Nigeria who pretended to be from the US using a fake IG profile. This individual would request gift cards regularly while fabricating stories about needing money for family emergencies and promised to repay me once back in the US. They claimed to have flown to Africa to care for their sick mother after running out of funds, a story that resonated with me as my own mother was ill at the time. This led me to overlook the warning signs from February 15 to August 1 during which I was deceived and lost money. Despite trying to redeem the gift cards myself, the scammer delayed repayments and deceived me, allowing them ample time to steal and use the cards. I confronted them when I discovered the real person behind the IG account, but the damage was already done. The ordeal, which I now recognize as a Romance scam, involved building trust before manipulating me into completing tasks while draining my finances. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I recently added $10 to my Steam wallet, but since I don't have my card details saved, Steam is treating it as a new card with each purchase. As a result, I am now unable to buy anything from the Community Marketplace until I verify my card by confirming two small payments from my bank account using online banking. Unfortunately, I bank with Compass, which has unreliable online banking services, making it extremely difficult to access. Despite my efforts, Steam has not provided any alternative methods for card verification.

I am having trouble logging into my Steam account. Reason: My PC was recently serviced by the manufacturer under warranty. When I got it back, it was restored to its original state, wiping out all my data. Fortunately, I have backups of everything. Actions taken: I have tried to log in, but failed. I followed the instructions to reset my password by clicking on the "forgot password" link. Steam sent me a validation code via email, which I entered into the provided dialog box. I successfully changed my password, confirming my login name. However, when I tried to log in with the new password, it was not accepted. I repeated this process multiple times, even trying to paste the new password from a text editor. Unfortunately, I still cannot access my games. I am deeply frustrated by this situation and the lack of effective support. Thank you, B.

A friend approached me claiming they reported me to a Steam administrator for possessing duplicated skins. When I spoke with the individual, she asked for unusual information such as my transaction ID and insisted I make purchases for verification purposes, which struck me as odd. After some discussion, she directed me to Discord. She assured me that logging out would be brief, but it extended to a couple of days. Upon re-accessing my account, I discovered a community ban, contradicting her previous assurance of a brief inconvenience. Eventually, she ceased communication and altered all my Steam details, including email, phone number, authenticator, and password. I seek assistance to rectify this situation by reverting the email back to mine for account recovery.

I recently purchased Rainbow Six Siege but unfortunately, I realized that my PC cannot run it effectively. I attempted to fix the issue in the settings which unintentionally caused my playtime to exceed two hours. Although I only played some situations to troubleshoot, my overall playtime has surpassed the limit for a refund. I acknowledge that this may impact my refund request, but I still would like to proceed and request a refund for the game, despite the extended playtime.

Hello, I recently purchased Rust on Steam. I have tried everything to make the game run smoothly, but it keeps crashing and providing a poor experience. To request a refund, you need to have played less than 2 hours, but I have played for 3 hours. However, most of this time was spent trying to get the game to load. It takes around 15 minutes just to reach the server list, and when I join a server, it crashes and slows down my PC. Please consider my request for a refund to my Steam wallet so I can purchase a game that suits my computer's requirements better. Thank you. Best regards, Rokas

I recently received a message from BOT#1[redacted] informing me that I am a winner in a random selection through Steam ID64. The message directs me to visit Outpost-TF2.com and use a specific code to claim a prize. The site lists various items like hats and weapons to choose from. However, I'm uncertain about the legitimacy of this message and whether the site is trustworthy. I'm seeking clarification before proceeding.

I recently received a call from someone claiming to be from Apple Support, suggesting my account was at risk, therefore instructing me not to use my Capital One debit MasterCard. I purchased four $50 Steam cards from Walgreens using my Capital One Debit MasterCard. I have the receipts for each card, along with the payment details. The $[redacted] was fraudulently taken from me, which has left me, an unemployed single mother of two girls, extremely upset. I have informed Capital One Customer Service and plan to contact my personal Capital One branch. I'm devastated and urgently need the money for basic living expenses. I have reached out to Apple and will file a police report. I am willing to provide any necessary information or evidence to resolve this issue. Please assist me in any way you can. Thank you for your time and consideration. Thank you, Deeanna G.

My friend attempted to transfer almost $[redacted] worth of Rust skins to his main account via a trade offer. However, after accepting the trade through 2-factor authentication, the items were sent to a different account with the same profile information and display name. Surprisingly, this account was not on his friend list, but somehow the trade was completed. The trade appeared as declined on the intended account but was accepted on the receiving account, which had its name changed to a series of numbers ([redacted][redacted]). My friend is puzzled because he believes his account may have been hacked, despite having 2-factor authentication enabled.

After returning from the hospital and vacation, I was shocked to find a red alert logo on my Steam account indicating it was locked. The issue arose when I logged in from my phone, then at a gaming cafe to play Counter Strike Go. Each time I clicked on an Accept Notification from CS GO, Steam would claim I was logged into another account. Upon checking, I discovered I had a ban from Steam Community, resulting in my profile being made private. Desperately searching for a resolution, I stumbled upon discussions regarding inappropriate content violations. I realized I had inadvertently posted inappropriate artwork, violating their policy. I want to sincerely apologize for my mistake and lack of awareness about the guidelines. I'm seeking support to rectify this misunderstanding as it was unintentional on my part.

Inquiry: I am interested in purchasing two software bundles for Substance Painter. Question: If I have one STEAM account, can I login on two different PCs? When I buy the Substance Painter bundle and install it on my computer, am I allowed to install it on another computer as well? Do the licenses on STEAM have the same policy as the official website like Adobe? I notice the prices on STEAM are cheaper than Adobe. Are there any advantages or disadvantages between the two companies? If I install the software on my PC, can I use it permanently without any limitations? I would appreciate your feedback on these questions. Thank you.

I received a suspicious message from someone offering a free game. After clicking a link that looked legitimate, it redirected me to a different site where I unknowingly entered my information. Unfortunately, my account was compromised as a result. I can provide details such as recent purchases and card data, including my most recent purchase of Borderlands 2, to verify ownership. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to assist in recovering my account. I have been a loyal customer for a long time.

I borrowed my friend's Steam account to install GTA V, using his activation key initially. Later, I switched the game to my own account and re-activated it with a new key. Now, my friend is unable to play as the key seems activated. I need assistance in transferring the game key back to him, as it seems redundant having two active keys on one account on Steam.

I am having trouble accessing my Steam account from a new computer after my brother moved away with the old one. The system is prompting me to verify via email, but the email address linked to my account, [redacted], is unfamiliar to me. I typically use [redacted] and [redacted] for emails. I want to skip dealing with Microsoft for email recovery and switch my Steam account to one of my usual emails. I can provide details like my last login, the external IP address, and the games on my library for verification.

I encountered an issue while attempting to change my Steam account password. Despite several attempts, the system continued to reject my requests. After logging out, I found that neither my original password nor the new one I had tried to set worked. Although I received emails confirming successful password changes, I was still unable to access my account. Now, due to multiple failed login attempts, I am locked out of my account on this network. Unfortunately, as I learned from a Valve phone call, Steam does not have a customer service number for immediate assistance, leaving me unable to regain access to my Steam account.

I am having trouble connecting to Steam's online services. When I try to download a game, the download speed starts slow but then drops to 0 B/s. I have already attempted various solutions such as restarting my PC and Steam, changing the download region, restarting the router, disabling Windows Firewall and Kaspersky antivirus, and clearing the download cache. I also tried updating Steam, but encountered a fatal error message stating it needs to be online to update, even though I am connected to the network. I even reinstalled Steam, but the update still got stuck. Despite having a good internet connection (100mb/s down 20mb/s up), I am unsure how to resolve this issue. Thank you for any help.

I am seeking help with a recent purchase issue on Steam. I had requested support to assist me with buying games since I faced difficulty making purchases on my own. However, I received a response that seemed unrelated to my initial request. The message stated an ongoing investigation without addressing my concern directly. The response I truly awaited and found relevant to my query was as follows: Hello, Thank you for reaching out to Steam Support. I have made the necessary updates to your account. Please attempt the purchase again. If the problem persists, consider using an alternative payment method other than your Wallet funds. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions; we are here to help. Sincerely, Hilaire

Since the fifth of August [redacted], I've had issues connecting to the Steam client and services. Each time I tried to connect, I received the same error - a connection error. Despite multiple attempts, the problem persisted, even after checking my Internet connection and reinstalling Steam. After researching similar issues, I decided to use a VPN to test if the problem was related to my IP address. When I connected to Steam through the VPN, it worked fine, although my ping was higher. I suspect my IP address may have been banned by Valve. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
