A few years ago, I purchased a game called "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" but unfortunately, I have been unable to play it due to computer compatibility issues. Despite the playtime recorded, I have never actually played the game and would like to request a refund. I was unaware of the refund process on Steam when I initially bought the game. When attempting to seek a refund, I was informed that I had exceeded the time limit for refunds. Repeated attempts with their automated system yielded the same response. I believe having the opportunity to discuss this matter with a human representative could have potentially resulted in a successful refund request. Dealing with automated responses can be frustrating.

I purchased Don't Starve Together on sale in Japan intending to gift it to my friend also located in Japan. However, the gift could only be received in select Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Despite this limitation, I sent the game to my friend, but he was unable to install it. I am curious if there is a way for my friend to still be able to install and play the game, even though he is in a different country. Thank you for any assistance provided.

I reached out to Steam for a refund but was refused due to playtime hours. I ended up with over 6 hours of playtime due to technical difficulties, not actual gameplay. I bought the game primarily to experience it on my new HDR TV, which unfortunately didn't work despite hours of troubleshooting. Now I have a game that doesn't meet my expectations. I have a significant Steam library and value our customer relationship, but this experience might impact my future purchases. I hope for a more personalized response to help resolve this matter.

Blank Media Games' response time to emails seems lacking, as I have experienced. I reached out via email due to an accidental in-game purchase on the Steam version of ToS that Steam couldn't refund. Steam suggested contacting the developer for assistance. In my email, I explained the situation in detail: I unintentionally purchased in-game currency ($6.99 for 10,[redacted] town points) because I closed the purchase window on Steam promptly, yet the transaction went through on ToS. Unfortunately, Steam couldn't refund this purchase. I am careful with my money, and this mishap has put me in a difficult spot financially. Could I please be refunded for the accidental purchase?

I have been blocked from my account due to fraud concerns. The payment method used belongs to my brother, and I can verify this with him on the phone. I am eager to resolve this promptly as the steam support team has not been responsive. While I understand their caution, I have valid explanations and evidence ready to address any inquiries. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter quickly so I can access the content I have paid for. Thank you for your help.

I participated in the free weekend of Rainbow 6 Siege and enjoyed it so much that after the first round, I decided to purchase the deluxe edition through PayPal. Upon trying to play again, I was prompted to upgrade. While playing, I had access to all the content included in the deluxe edition. However, after the free weekend, the game stated that my license had expired and requested I buy the game again. I have the PayPal receipt as proof of purchase via Ubisoft.

I purchased GTA V in January, but I have yet to successfully play it. Every time I click play on the Social Club box, the game fails to launch. I even attempted to start it in safe mode with no success. Despite this, Steam shows over 36 hours of playtime, which is incorrect as I have not been able to start the game once. I refrained from taking action, hoping for a patch. However, since none has been released, I am eager to address this matter as GTA V remains unplayable in my library. As a student, losing $16 ([redacted] colones) on this purchase is significant for me. Your assistance in resolving this ongoing issue would be greatly appreciated, considering my prolonged efforts to play the game since January.

Last night, I played Portal 2 until 2 a.m., alternating between the game and my browser on my laptop using the Windows button. Upon closing the game and shutting down, my display seemed normal. However, upon logging in today, I noticed my desktop icons were rearranged, some horizontally instead of all vertical. It appears my computer screen was slightly magnified which I suspect was caused by Portal 2 or Steam. This issue extends beyond the game to websites and other applications. Despite having the Scale and Layout setting at [redacted]%, the lowest, I am unable to correct the magnification. I observed a delay in adjusting between the game and browser, with a zoomed-in view of my desktop during the transition. I seek assistance in reverting my computer back to its original settings without resorting to extreme measures like deleting all my files.

I am experiencing difficulty logging into my Steam account for Ark on my new PC. The Steam Guard is not recognizing the device, even after resetting my password and receiving codes on my phone. Additionally, I am unable to access the email associated with the Steam account, [redacted] Steam Guard suggested changing the email address, which I am open to if it guarantees I won't lose my Ark account, including my character and base. This account holds sentimental value as a memorial to my late partner who played Ark with me. I urgently need assistance in recovering this account; having to restart from scratch is not an option for me, as I have expansions to add. Please help me resolve this issue without losing a valued customer.

I clicked on a link in a group I'm in, asking for my username and password. Thinking it was for a giveaway, I entered my details. After that, I received a Rocket League invite from a user named AQWW1, whom I suspect. The invite said we are friends, but then I was told I couldn't play because I was already playing from another location. Upon checking, I found my valuable items were missing, leading me to believe I may have been hacked.

I recently tried to purchase the SCS Software American Truck Simulator Washington DLC on the Steam Store. However, I received an error message stating that I had been attempting multiple purchases within a short period. This is not the case; I have only been trying to buy this specific DLC repeatedly due to the transaction not going through. Just prior to this, I successfully purchased the SCS Software Forestry Machinery DLC without any issues.

I purchased a Steam card at Walmart on 6-10-19 for $50. When I tried to activate the card, it was already used. I have been unable to reach anyone by phone at Steam. I am hoping someone here can help to contact them and reactivate the card so it can be used by the rightful purchaser. The card number provided on the receipt is ck3YY-JN4IF-9HM9V, but the scanned card number is [redacted] 3 [redacted], which has already been used. I really just want to resolve this issue and have the card reactivated for its intended use. I have provided my email address so please update me on the outcome, whether they resolve it or not. I want to inform others about this issue, as this is the second time it has happened and I find it unacceptable.

I believe that one of my DLCs for Borderlands seems to have a corrupted file, particularly the boss fight against the 'Sorcerer's Daughter.' Every time I reach the boss fight, the game crashes with the music still playing but a frozen screen, making it impossible to progress. Initially, I thought it might be a minor bug that would resolve itself over time, but after returning to it, the issue persisted. I have checked the local files and identified one problematic file, but the automatic fix did not resolve the issue. I am very fond of this DLC and would like to complete it without these frequent crashes. I have attempted various solutions, including troubleshooting the local files, uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, and specifically reinstalling the DLC, but the problem persists. I am seeking guidance on how to address this issue and enjoy playing through this fantastic DLC.

I recently encountered a situation where someone gained access to my friend's account and contacted me regarding a false report of duped items from my Steam library. They directed me to a fake Steam Support account and engaged in a conversation. Eventually, they convinced me to share my purchase history and account name. Subsequently, they temporarily disabled my account and moved the conversation to Discord. The impostor demanded a $50 Steam card to release my account, threatening me when I mentioned not having the money. Upon realizing they were not Steam Support, I confronted them, and they sent seemingly authentic credentials. Ultimately, they ceased communication after I called them out on their deception.

Hello, I recently purchased Atlas and have been attempting to access the game for a few days now without success. Despite Steam showing that I have 7 hours of playtime, I have not been able to log into any server beyond the lobby. I have tried to request a refund twice, but Steam automatically rejected it due to exceeding the 2-hour playtime limit. I have not actually played the game yet. Even after leaving the game to load overnight, it remained stuck on the loading screen. Despite meeting the hardware requirements and trying after various updates, the issue persists. I have also contacted support, but received no response. I am hoping for a refund. My login is kejpi77, and I prefer not to call support due to potential high phone charges. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I am having trouble accessing my Steam account. Both my Steam and email account ([redacted]) were compromised, although I have changed my email password. Initially, I got an email notifying me that a phone number ending in 18 was added to my account without my knowledge. Shortly after, I received a message in Russian stating that my contact email address was successfully changed. I also received Steam help request codes but did not receive any verification code emails needed to change my password using Steam's online services. As a result, I could not access my account successfully.

Good morning,
I recently attempted to log into my STEAM account after not using it for several days, only to discover that my account seems to have been hacked or stolen. The account details are as follows:
- Account Name: grant5711
- Password: jackkepler57
- Security Question: Name of pet, Answer: Tigger
I tried the lost account recovery feature, which indicated that an email would be sent to y***_*******@m***.r*, an address I do not recognize or own. When prompted about a credit card purchase made on Tuesday, February 20, [redacted], for Call of Duty World at War, I refrained from entering my credit card details to ensure security.
My account grant5711 is linked only to my email [redacted] I predominantly play first-person shooter games in Campaign mode and provided my birthdate as November 30, [redacted].
I hope to receive assistance soon, as I am frustrated by the inability to access games I purchased.
Please use [redacted] for correspondence.
Thank you,
Grant B.

I have encountered persistent issues with my Steam games, experiencing poor performance compared to the same games purchased elsewhere. Despite Steam suggesting the problem lies with my hardware and insisting I upgrade, I have sought advice from computer professionals who disagree.
This issue has persisted for four years without any resolution. Steam have been dismissive, accusing me of dishonesty and encouraging others to attack me on forums. They quickly close my support tickets without proper review, repeatedly sending me generic FAQ links which loop me back to software developers, engineers, and then back to Steam.
Interestingly, they now claim my hardware is outdated, conveniently shifting the blame. This mirrors my experience with my previous computer. Their unwillingness to take responsibility is concerning and raises suspicions about their practices.

Recently, my account was compromised by a hacker named "Mr. Clide Scott" who pretended to be a Valve employee. Unfortunately, I hadn't linked my phone number initially due to financial constraints. I have since added a phone number from the Talkatone app, but I have already blocked the hacker. The breach involved changes to my email and phone number on my Steam account. I'm eager for a resolution and hope my account can be restored promptly. Kindly inform me at [redacted] once my account is secured. Thank you for your assistance.

I acknowledge that DDR3 may be outdated, but optimizing games on Steam has become challenging. Despite having sufficient hardware for games predating [redacted], I encounter issues with detail loading, monitor tearing, jagged shadows, jumpy/shaky shadows, flashing textures, and hardware usage fluctuations.
I recreated the problem on an older, DDR3-based PC, similar to my current setup featuring an AMD FX CPU, MSI/GeForce GPU, and Gigabyte motherboard. Several friends facing similar problems with their builds also struggle to address these issues. While approaching Steam for solutions, I faced evasion and am seemingly directed to different support staff each time. I am eager to find potential remedies for these persistent issues.
