Hello, I received an email from Steam stating that I have been refunded for the game Killing Floor 2. I did not request this refund as I have played the game for more than 2 hours and owned it for over 2 weeks. The refund amount of £6.59 is now in my Steam wallet. All the email details, transaction information, and refund amount are accurate, confirming it is from Steam. I would like to return the money to address this issue. As a precaution, I have already changed my password. Thank you, -Zachary

I purchased eight $[redacted] Steam gift cards totaling $[redacted] at Walmart two days ago. I was contacted by someone claiming to be from PNC Bank named Jimmy Smith who said I was approved for a $[redacted] personal loan, but required an $[redacted] security deposit to receive the loan. He asked for the 15-digit codes on the back of my Steam gift cards as proof of reliability. After expecting the loan to be deposited into my bank account, I discovered I was scammed. I have the Steam cards and the receipts. I created a Steam account for refunds. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I recently received a false report on my account for "duplicating items." The user who submitted the report mistakenly sent it to me instead of the intended recipient. He provided an admin's profile and instructed me to follow some steps to avoid a permanent ban. After I complied and scanned the necessary items, I was suddenly logged out of Steam. To my dismay, when I logged back in, all my games, items, and achievements were gone. Moreover, I received an email notification stating that my mobile authenticator had been removed. My username is "player 2" (Canuckkid7).

I recently encountered an issue accessing my Warframe account while trying to log in around 7:30 PM EST. The system indicated that my account credentials had been altered. Although this has occurred in the past, this time I was unable to rectify it as quickly. Unfortunately, my account lacks a registered phone number, which might have helped in this situation. While attempting to recover my account, I received a verification code that only pointed to a new and empty account linked to my email. Surprisingly, I discovered a Russian email in my inbox from an hour earlier notifying me of external access to my account. After translating the message with a friend, my friend's attempt to reach out to the intruder resulted in an immediate removal from my friend's list. It is imperative for me to reclaim access to my account, considering the substantial time and money invested in it.

I would like to report that my account was stolen. Last night, while attempting to play ArmA 3 Apex which I purchased on December 28th last year, I encountered an issue. After a Steam Client update, I tried to sign in but was told my password was incorrect. I then tried to reset the password but found out my email [redacted] was not in the database. Additionally, when I tried my old account name, I saw a different email linked to it, indicating theft. The person who stole my account also downloaded games like War Thunder, WarFace, and others, which I had either purchased with my own money or gotten for free. I have contacted Steam Support and reached out on Twitter for help. If there is any way to rectify this promptly, I would greatly appreciate it. You can contact me at [redacted], on Discord @jacob#[redacted], or on Twitter @Detroit_SteelHD. Thank you.

Yesterday, I received a VAC ban which I believe was unjust. I was banned due to suspicion of using a cheat called Maverick, but I only used it in a private match to test its functionality. Upon confirming the cheat's operation, I promptly reported it to BattlEye and VAC using their respective websites. The sequence of events leading to my ban began with my friend informing me of a cheat for GTA 5 and CSGO. I then tested the cheat in a private match as mentioned above. After confirming its effectiveness in several games, I reported it to both anti-cheat systems. Despite raising this issue through a support ticket, I only received an automated response and no further communication. I am requesting an unban as I did not cheat on official servers and reported the cheat. If unbanning is not possible, I seek more information regarding the ban. I am willing to provide additional details if needed. Thank you, Bradley.

Hello, I recently reached out to Steam to request a refund for a game my son purchased, but have only received automated responses citing their 14-day refund policy. Unfortunately, the game my 10-year-old son bought with Steam cards gifted to him for Christmas is not functioning properly. Despite spending all his funds on the game, he hasn't been able to play it even for a minute due to constant crashes. My son didn't share this with us until now to avoid bothering us with the issue. I comprehend the policy duration, but with only 11 minutes of attempted game time, it is evident he hasn't been able to use it. He will now have to wait until his birthday for new vouchers, as we are hesitant to risk another malfunction. Contacting Steam directly via email to elaborate on the situation has been futile, with only automated responses provided. I'm hopeful for assistance or guidance in this matter. Thank you, Nick

I recently accepted a friend request on Steam and received a message claiming I won a free Counter Strike Global Offensive AWP skin. When I clicked the link provided, it redirected me to a CSGO gambling site called AllPosts. Since I had used similar sites in the past without any issues, I logged in using my Steam account details. While playing a game with a friend on Discord, I was unexpectedly logged out of Steam, causing Terraria to shut down. I was then prompted to log back in, only to discover my credentials had been altered. My email, phone number, and mobile authenticator were changed, leaving me locked out of my account. Despite reaching out to Steam for support and submitting a report, I am yet to receive a response. I am seeking help to regain access to my account, as well as ensuring that any unauthorized transactions are not charged to the credit card linked to my Steam account.

A friend named 'Spacey' messaged me from my friends list insisting we talk about an issue involving my Steam account. Although I didn't recognize him in the message, he claimed to have mistakenly reported me for a violation. He provided me with a link to a supposed Valve employee named Mrs. Zin. After conversing with Mrs. Zin, who claimed to be a Valve employee, she requested I make a purchase on Mannco.store as part of resolving the issue. Following her instructions, I made a payment of $50, but she cut off contact after that. Subsequently, my Steam account no longer exists, and a charge of $73.27 appeared on my mom's credit card from 'g2a com krakow PL'. I am unable to verify the legitimacy of Mrs. Zin's association with Valve or determine if I was scammed or hacked. Any assistance in clarifying this situation would be greatly appreciated.

I previously tried to request a refund for Cities: Skylines on Steam, but I was informed that I had exceeded the 2-hour playtime limit. Despite this, I encountered significant issues trying to actually play the game. Upon purchasing it for my [redacted] Mac and successfully downloading it, I faced continuous issues launching it. The game would not progress past the loading screen, despite my attempts to troubleshoot by adjusting settings and removing files. Despite spending several hours stuck on the loading screen, the game never transitioned to gameplay, although the background music changed as if it was loaded. I was unable to even create a city due to this persistent loading problem. After researching online, I discovered that the game was not compatible with the graphics card in my [redacted] MacBook Pro, a detail that was not disclosed prior to purchase. My playtime on Steam was not actual gameplay but merely unsuccessful loading attempts. It's frustrating to have invested time without being able to play and to learn about the compatibility issue after the fact, especially when relying on Steam's refund policy as a last resort.

Hello, my name is Nicholas, and I've encountered an issue with Counter Strike over the past month. Due to severe weather conditions with heavy snow where I live, my internet connection has been consistently poor. This has caused me to experience lagging and getting kicked out of competitive games in CSGO, resulting in two-week bans twice. Recently, on my first day back after being unbanned, I encountered a toxic player who used offensive language, prompting me to warn him about his behavior. In response, he and his friends kicked me from the game and led to another 7-day ban. In total, I've been banned for 3/4 of this month, which is very frustrating. I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution to my situation, including being unbanned and addressing the issue with the racist player. Sincerely, Nicholas Haykus.

This resulted in me getting kicked from matches twice, leading to a two-week ban from playing competitive. I am facing a situation where a user named Von Ivern is threatening to take my account from me, accusing me of stealing it despite the fact that the account is linked to my email and I have been the rightful owner for 5 years. All the transactions on the account were made using my Service Credit Union Visa card. I began using the account for purchases last September after I assembled my own gaming computer. Today, Von Ivern contacted me claiming to be a hacker, saying he knows my information. He insisted the account belongs to his brother and threatened to report me to Steam for theft. This is baseless as I have always used my own card, the account has had Steam Guard protection since [redacted], and it is associated with my email address. I am concerned about sharing transaction proof with him as it could compromise my card details. I urge you not to heed his claims as I fear losing my account, which holds both sentimental value and financial investment.

Hello. I hope everyone is doing well. I am the owner of the phone number associated with my two children's Steam accounts. Recently, one of my kids received an Overwatch ban on CS:GO and had his account VAC banned. I am not familiar with the details, but my other child, who did not cheat, is upset because their account got banned due to being linked to the same phone number. I feel this situation is unfair to my innocent child who has worked hard to earn games and in-game items through chores. While I understand the consequences for my cheating child, I do not agree with the ban affecting my other child's account. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter. I respect the rules and guidelines in place and only wish for a fair outcome that ensures customer satisfaction. Thank you for your attention and support. Have a safe and wonderful day!

In [redacted], I purchased ARMA 3 from a key vendor and recently had issues with it being revoked on Steam. Despite having the game for a couple of years with 24 hours of playtime, I was forced to repurchase it. Then, on February 5th, I impulsively bought the game again for around $19. However, I later noticed a bundle deal for ARMA 3 with the APEX expansion and extra DLC for $30 which I wanted to get instead. I tried to request a refund for the standalone game I purchased, explaining my situation and the mistake in playtime calculation, but Steam denied it twice without considering my recent purchase. It seems like they didn't thoroughly read my messages and just gave generic responses. I'm frustrated and just want to reach out to a Steam representative for help. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having trouble submitting a ticket through Steam support. After I click 'Send,' I receive an email from Steam Support with a verification code. Despite this, Steam support says they haven't sent me any emails. I've tried clicking 'Send' multiple times, yet I still haven't received any emails. However, when I check my inbox, I see that I have received several codes, but I don't know where to enter them.

I have downloaded Shadow of the Tomb Raider from Steam multiple times but have been unable to open the program. After receiving a refund from Steam, I decided to purchase the game through GameStop for the full price of $59.00, hoping for a better outcome. Unfortunately, I encountered the same problem. Despite visiting a GameStop store for assistance, they couldn't resolve the issue and mentioned that the refund process would need to be handled by your company. I have invested significant time into trying to resolve this matter and am seeking a solution to either open the game successfully or receive a refund.

The Steam Guard authenticator on my phone is no longer working, preventing me from accessing my account. After a recent update on my PC, Steam prompted me to sign in again with the authentication code. I used to use my old cell phone as the authenticator, but the app malfunctioned. Now, I am unable to retrieve the code from the app, leaving me unable to sign in. I just need to access my account on the PC, and I am open to removing the authenticator if needed to regain control of my account.

I believe my computer has been compromised. Twice within a span of 15 days, I encountered a pop-up box prompting me to log in, even though I had not attempted to do so. I have also received emails from Blizzard Entertainment indicating that my password was reset, a company I have no association with. I initially raised a ticket to address this issue, but now I cannot find any related emails as they seem to have been deleted. It appears that my entire computer may have been hacked, as resetting it did not resolve the problem. I use the username Kentrise and can provide answers to security questions. Recently, I added a new phone number for added security after the previous hacking incident. While I have mostly been playing FM19, my computer has not been in active use for about a year, with most of its activity involving the purchase of point-and-click adventure games. - Michael McEntee

I've encountered a problem with a website that prompts you to log in through Steam. Once you log in, it starts spamming your friends with unwanted messages, leading to blocks. A friend of mine fell victim to it, and the system sent multiple messages a minute to all contacts. The automated messages include a request to spin a roulette wheel for a chance to win games like GTA V, PUBG, or CSGO. It then offers to buy the key from you if one of these games is won. The message also promotes receiving a free game on a site called gamehubxx.com. This chain of events was beyond our control, and I believe the site needs to be investigated and addressed promptly to prevent further issues for users.
