Subject: Complaint Regarding Recent Delivery Service To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the delivery service I received today under order number [redacted]97. The delivery was delayed by ten minutes without an apology or sufficient customer service. Although I understand delays can occur, this minor inconvenience, along with other issues, prompted me to bring it to your attention. The delivery driver allowed us to unpack the items while he waited for the crates, which took over 20 minutes, leaving them outside our front door. The ciabatta bread was slightly squashed due to poor packing, and the blueberries were open and spilled inside the crate, rendering them unusable. I kindly request an apology for the subpar service, assurance that I will not be charged for the damaged blueberries or undelivered Pastrami, and a gesture of goodwill as a loyal customer. I recently purchased a 500g chicken and bacon puff pastry pie from Sainsbury's with a use-by date of 21 Nov [redacted]. I bought this for the first time in years hoping for the same quality as before, with large chunks of chicken and ham. The photo on the box showed sizable pieces of chicken, but upon sharing it with my son, we were disappointed. The filling mainly consisted of white sauce with scarce pieces of chicken and minimal bacon bits that were hard to find. This falls short of the expected standard from Sainsbury's, and I believe the manufacturing process needs to be reviewed. I am certain that Trading Standards would have concerns about the product I purchased.

I've been struggling to get assistance for two days now. I tried reaching out to the local Edenthorpe store about a lost item, but the person on the phone couldn't help and abruptly ended the call. When I contacted the central customer service, the representative was difficult to understand and eventually disconnected the call after putting me on hold. I also filled out a feedback questionnaire but haven't received any response yet. I've been a frequent shopper at Edenthorpe Sainsburys and just need a contact number of a helpful person who can check if my lost item was found. The lack of customer service is disappointing, and I'm considering shopping elsewhere for Christmas. I might share my experience on Trust Pilot later. - Gill Whitehurst

I purchased items for my husband's birthday, including miniature whisky bottles for his cake. Unfortunately, I was refused the alcohol as I was mistaken for being under 25. Despite being 32, married, and pregnant, my ID is being updated due to my marital status change and I did not have my current driver's license with me. I offered to show a copy of my passport, marriage certificate, and previous license, but the manager and cashier caused me significant anxiety by commenting on my appearance. This was uncomfortable and not suitable during my third trimester of pregnancy. I believe there should be a better system for women changing their surnames after marriage to prove their identity without needing to show the original ID. The situation was upsetting, and the manager did not apologize for the inconvenience. I have decided not to shop there again.

I placed an order today thinking it was for delivery, but it turned out to be for collection from Harrogate, which is too far for me. I tried to cancel the order online by deleting items from my basket, but now I received an invoice via email and saw a charge in my bank account for the order. I'm a pensioner on a tight budget, so I can't afford to pay for items I didn't receive. Can someone please clarify my situation? Thank you. - David B.

Regarding the car park at the Hornchurch branch located at [redacted]-[redacted] High Street, Hornchurch RM11 1TX, I would like to address a concern. It is my understanding that the parking area was intended for Town Center use, not just for Sainsbury customers. Recently, I have noticed that a private parking company is issuing fines for exceeding the 2-hour limit and for parking without shopping at Sainsbury. I kindly request clarification on the ownership and purpose of the parking facility. I believe it should remain accessible for Town Center visitors. I accidentally left my brown leather gloves in a basket at Rowley Regis Sainsbury’s today and was hoping someone might have found them and turned them in. I have been unable to speak to a live person on the phone. When I called, I only encountered an automated voice that directed me to go online for assistance, but I did not find any helpful information there either. It would be greatly appreciated if Sainsbury’s could provide the option to speak with someone over the phone. Previously, they would check if a lost item was turned in, so I am hopeful they can assist me with my gloves.

Compliment to Manager of Sainsbury's Cannock store for exemplary customer service on Thursday, December 9th at 3:30 pm. My wedding ring slipped off my cold finger at the checkout, and the staff went above and beyond to help. The wonderful ladies cheerfully moved boxes and pallets to locate my ring, displaying great determination. I am immensely thankful for their efforts and the safe return of my precious ring. I recently noticed discrepancies on my receipt from my visit to the store at Stadium Way, Rayleigh Essex. I was charged £2 for courgettes I didn't purchase and 77p for a single onion, which seemed unusual to me. I've attempted to contact the store multiple times, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach anyone. As a pensioner, the amount overcharged means a lot to me, and it's not convenient to make a trip back to the store for a refund considering the time and taxi costs involved. My order was scheduled for delivery yesterday between 5-6pm. After it didn't arrive, I contacted customer service at 6.30pm and was told it was on the way. Later at 7.30pm, still no delivery, and I was informed the van had broken down, delaying my order by two hours. While I understand delays happen, I would appreciate better communication. Hello, I am reaching out regarding an order I placed through a food delivery app, Uber Eats, today on the 17th of December. I placed an order totaling £66 from Sainsbury’s in West Hampstead. Unfortunately, less than half of the items I ordered were delivered, and Uber Eats is currently disputing my refund request. I am seeking clarification on the order pickup process from the store. I received only 3 shopping bags tied up, which seemed insufficient. Could someone from the store verify how many bags were handed over to the Uber driver? I am looking to understand what transpired during the order preparation at the store and how many bags were transferred to the driver. I received my online delivery around 6:20 pm and while unpacking, I noticed that 2 packs of fresh rolls, 6 white rolls, and 6 wholemeal rolls are expiring today, on December 19th. If I were in the store, I wouldn't have purchased items expiring on the same day at such a late hour. Normally, products like these would have been reduced earlier in the afternoon if they were in a physical store. The cost was £1.40 in total for both packs, priced at 70p each, which left me feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I had to quickly make room in the freezer as I was expecting the rolls to remain fresh for a longer period.

On 19/12/[redacted] at around 14:18:21 hrs, after completing my purchase, I noticed two men at the alcohol aisle taking around four large bottles of strong drinks without paying. I alerted a staff member, but they seemed uninterested in addressing the situation. The men left with the unpaid items. To my surprise, another staff member approached me later, asking to see my £2.00 proof of purchase, which left me confused and uncomfortable. Waking up this morning, I feel angry. I have been attempting to contact a manager at the Leicester Fosse Park store regarding an online food delivery for my mother-in-law with order number [redacted]60. On January 14th, [redacted], we purchased a box of Sainsbury's Blackberry and Blueberry infusion fruit tea bags. Upon opening and using them, we realized that only about half of the tea bags were usable. The other half were torn open on one side, causing the fruit tea to spill out into the box. I was unable to reach out to you sooner, but I believe it's important for you to be aware of this issue. It seems like it may be a production issue, potentially affecting more tea bags from the same batch. I am hesitant to repurchase them in case this problem persists, resulting in receiving only half of the tea bags for the money spent.

On Thursday evening around 5:30 pm, my wife was shopping at the Fosse Park store in Leicester. She briefly left her trolley to grab some butter, and in that short time, her bags were taken from the trolley. When she reached the checkout, she realized the bags were missing and informed the cashier about the theft. The cashier's response was simply, "Oh, some people!" Fortunately, the bags were empty, but it's concerning to think that someone might have hoped to find valuables like a handbag, purse, or phone inside. It's unsettling to know that there are thieves in the store preying on customers.

A few weeks ago, I reported to Sainsbury's at Lyons Farm in Worthing that some street lamps lighting the pavement were not working. I was informed it would be passed on for repair. Today, upon revisiting, I noticed that NONE of the street lamps on the pavement were operational. When I reported it, I was told they were waiting to fix the lighting until the council had trimmed back the shrubbery. This delay is concerning, as it puts pedestrians at risk of various dangers, including assault, abduction, or accidents while walking in the road. Pedestrians deserve to feel safe and not neglected. I have reached out to my MP and local councillor about this issue and hope prompt action will be taken to address it.

Subject: Concerns with Sainsbury's Greek Style Yogurt Product To Whom It May Concern, I am reaching out to address a recurring issue with the product bar code [redacted]1, specifically the 500g Sainsbury's Greek Style Yogurt. Since the removal of the plastic lids on these yogurts, I've encountered multiple instances where the yogurt lids were unsealed upon delivery. This has resulted in wastage as I cannot determine when the yogurt might have been exposed prior to delivery. I have resorted to using a separate lid to maintain freshness in my refrigerator. During my recent order on 15/2/[redacted] between 9:30-10:30, two out of the four yogurts were delivered with unsealed lids. While I contacted customer service and received a refund in the form of a voucher for four yogurts, I believe there might be a production issue with the sealing machines causing this inconvenience.
