It has been about a month since I have been restricted to store hours for visiting the facility, making it difficult due to my work schedule. I spoke to the property manager about switching my unit to a business unit for 24-hour access, but she mentioned her boss going on vacation, causing a delay of at least 2 weeks. When I inquired after the two weeks, I was informed that no progress had been made.
Unfortunately, I found myself locked out one night when the unit closed before I could retrieve my belongings. The property manager then restricted my access to only business hours, which do not align with my work schedule, making visiting the facility nearly impossible.
Despite the property manager having the authority to restrict my visiting hours, granting me 24-hour access seemed to be an issue. The facility experienced a power outage for over a week, and during that time, the building's door was left wide open when I arrived. This made me feel uneasy about the security of my belongings.
I'm frustrated by the lack of solutions and safety measures in place despite me being a customer for about 3-4 months. Please address these ongoing issues promptly. Thank you.

I reside in unit [redacted] at [redacted] Westheimer, Houston, Texas. I am experiencing difficulty as my key does not open the cylinder lock on my unit. Despite my attempts to address this with the manager to obtain a new lock and access my unit, no resolution has been reached yet. It is important to note that this issue is not due to non-payment. I have reached out to the manager since Monday without success. I have diligently paid for this storage and seek assistance urgently. However, my attempts to contact Public Storage and corporate have been unfruitful. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Best, R.A.

I used my PayPal Debit Mastercard to pay for my storage, but the manager informed me that they do not accept this form of payment. I have ended up being charged double, along with additional fees, for my storage unit. As a result, I have tried to resolve the issue by paying double to keep my new belongings in storage. Unfortunately, the manager has been unhelpful and even hung up on me during our conversation. Despite my efforts to pay my bill promptly, I have been met with resistance. The manager's suggestion for me to stop causing trouble and stay silent has only escalated the situation. I am considering reaching out to the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General's Office for assistance.

I recently paid my storage bill two weeks ago for $[redacted], ensuring it was up to date for the month of October. However, I discovered upon visiting my storage unit that a new lock had been installed on the door, despite me already securing it with my own lock and returning the combination padlock as instructed. This change was made without any prior notification or communication, making it difficult for me to access important documents inside. I am now facing obstacles in retrieving my belongings and am unable to reach anyone for assistance. Not being informed about this alteration has caused me significant distress and inconvenience. I plan to review the Terms & Conditions to understand my rights in this situation and may have to seek legal advice if necessary. The lack of communication from the property manager is unacceptable and disrespectful. I am determined to resolve this issue and will take further action to ensure I can access my storage unit and retrieve my valuable documents promptly.

I have vacated two storage units at [redacted] Park Meadows Dr at the end of September. Although I submitted a request through the website to close the account on the same day, I did not receive a confirmation email, leading me to suspect a website error. Despite attempting to speak with the manager in person on October 5, [redacted], I had to wait for 1.5 hours without anyone showing up. My online account indicates that it remains open, with outstanding payments due. I am puzzled as both units have been emptied and left unlocked. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I rented a 3rd-floor storage unit on 12/19/23, and this morning (12/28/23) my access code was working fine. However, after signing up online for an additional unit on the 2nd floor of the same location, I received a new access code. The new code works for the 2nd floor unit but no longer grants me access to my 3rd-floor unit. It seems like my original access code got deactivated when I received the new one. Although I can enter my 3rd-floor unit when other customers go up there, I need to resolve this issue. How can I regain access to my 3rd-floor unit that I rented on 12/19/23?

I am currently renting from Public Storage in Whitehall, PA, and my monthly payment was recently increased from $[redacted] to $1,[redacted], causing some financial strain. Due to this change, I will be able to make the payment on the 19th, with the anticipated late fee. I am seeking clarification on the total amount due with the late fee included and if any further penalties will be imposed if the payment is made by the 19th. I have already initiated a live chat and informed a representative about my situation, who assured me that they would inform the manager at the Whitehall, PA location. However, I received a text indicating that the payment has not been received. I wanted to provide this update and inquire about any additional charges that may apply. For further assistance, please reach out to me via email at [redacted] Thank you, Sergey S. [redacted].

I have been a loyal customer of Public Storage, but recently my unit was broken into. I am currently waiting for the police report to proceed with a claim. Unfortunately, I also discovered that rodents damaged items in the unit, including cleaning supplies.
I requested a reduction in rent due to the situation but was denied. I am appealing this decision because of the compromised state of my unit and the additional costs I will incur to clean it out. I have had to remove the account from autopay due to the unexpected expenses.
I am disappointed by the continuous rental increases, especially during this challenging time. The initial amount was $49.47 and has now reached $[redacted], which is concerning.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I sold my unit back in January. I reached out to the property manager because the money was deposited a little after 12, and I wanted to visit the property. I have important personal documents like social security cards, birth certificates, and belongings of my deceased mother that I need to hand over. I've been attempting to reach out, but no one has been available at the Wiley Road property where my unit was located. My name is Gracie Edmondson.
