On May 5, [redacted], I had a transaction totaling $50. However, an error occurred, and it showed as $[redacted]. I promptly refunded the excess amount. Despite no exchange taking place, I was placed on a rolling reserve. After reporting the issue on Monday, I was refunded. The same occurred on Wednesday, with the money returned, indicating the reserve should be lifted. Today, on Friday May 11, during a call, the representative, in my opinion, seemed indifferent. After requesting a supervisor, Neil [redacted] was unhelpful and did not grasp the situation. Subsequent interactions led to a credit offer for a $25 chip reader, which turned out to cost more with a delayed delivery. Frustrated by supervisor [redacted]'s reluctance to address the issue effectively, I was met with program and policy explanations, leaving me feeling like human judgment was lacking. My goal is to have the rolling reserve removed, a review of policies, higher-level communication, and consideration for a free chip reader, as it seems to be the underlying motive behind recent interactions with Paypal.

Dear Paypal Credit Team, I have been a loyal customer, consistently paying my bills on time. Recently, due to a change in my employment situation, I have faced challenges in meeting the payment deadlines. In September, I was grateful to have a late fee waived, a rare occurrence for me. Unfortunately, I missed the October payment deadline by two days. While I'm working to rectify this temporary setback, I am kindly requesting your assistance in having a second late fee waived or possibly reduced. This would greatly help me to stay on track with my payments and avoid falling further behind. I appreciate your understanding and support in this matter. Sincerely, Wendy S.

I was attempting to make a payment for the first time through PayPal, but I was confused and my credit and debit cards kept getting declined. I knew there were sufficient funds in my accounts. I reached out to customer service and found a phone number through GetHuman, but unfortunately, I got scammed into purchasing a Google Play card and lost $[redacted]. I have the receipt and all the details, but I am now missing $[redacted].

I waited on hold for two hours last night trying to reach PayPal customer service, but their message did not convey they were closed. Currently, after being on hold for almost two hours since late morning, it is now 1 pm EST, and I am still waiting to connect with PayPal Credit about my current APR. I have been transferred several times without getting answers to my simple question. This experience has been frustrating due to the lack of communication and competency from the representatives. It's unacceptable for customers like me to endure long wait times and unhelpful transfers. I need to be connected to a knowledgeable PayPal Credit representative who can promptly address my concerns. Thank you. ~Anita K-C

My 90-year-old father, James D., residing at [redacted] Liv [redacted], Chillicothe, MO, recently received two letters from Paypal Credit indicating fraudulent activity on an account he does not own. I am concerned that someone may have used his information to open this account (5[redacted]-1[redacted]). My father does not have an email or computer, and he's understandably bewildered by these notices. I seek assistance in verifying if a fraudulent account was indeed created using his details.

Hello, I am currently working on bringing my PayPal account back to good standing. Due to unexpected repair bills and the recent breakage of my cell phone, my primary means of contact is via email. I am interested in setting up a payment plan for $[redacted] every couple of weeks to be deducted from my checking account. This amount is manageable for me at the moment. Please advise on the process. Thank you, Jason.

Dear Forum Members, I need assistance with a recent purchase from Jockey.com on July 30th. I contacted PayPal to request a reclassification of the purchase to "special financing." This would allow me to have a longer period, either 6 or 12 months, to pay for the order. Due to ongoing family matters and medical issues needing attention, dealing with this matter was unexpected and inconvenient. The orders supervisor's attempt to provide a virtual gift certificate instead of a check caused issues with applying the refund to my large order. This led to me being unaware that by using the gift certificate, I would not receive special financing and would incur interest charges from the beginning. This was not communicated to me beforehand, and I only realized afterwards. I am seeking a reclassification of the order to avoid having to return it or perform a balance transfer. Your help is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Sheila A. S. [redacted]

Upon attempting to open a PayPal account last Tuesday, I discovered that an account had been previously established using a different email and phone number. The recent account had an immediate transfer of $[redacted].00 which is currently on hold due to potential fraud concerns. The bank is requesting identity verification documents, likely prompted by the suspicious activity. I am unsure of the status of the alleged [redacted] account, but I believe it should be in good standing without any charge-offs or collections as this would be memorable to me. Synchrony has been trying to contact an old phone number from the [redacted] account, which is no longer active, raising further suspicions. I plan to seek legal assistance to address this matter as it has been a week of uncertainty and communication with various departments. I am about to undergo surgery and will be incapacitated for four months, making it crucial to resolve and understand this issue before then.

I have been dealing with PayPal Credit regarding a refund issue that has caused overdrafts on my account. I made a purchase of $[redacted].30, canceled it, and received a refund of the same amount to my PayPal Credit account. However, despite this, I have experienced overdrafts on my account. PayPal Credit is now threatening to charge me an additional $27 for these overdrafts and wants to send me another $[redacted].30, which is unnecessary and incorrect. I have even closed my PayPal Credit account due to their error. When speaking to customer service representatives, I have encountered language barriers and feel my concerns are not being understood. I am seeking advice on how to prevent PayPal Credit from sending me incorrect refunds and charging me additional fees due to their mistakes.

Good evening, My name is Audasso Giovanni, and I am reaching out on behalf of my wife, O.P., both having an account with your company. My wife has been unable to access a complete statement online from your website from the 1st of November [redacted] until now. There seems to be a discrepancy of [redacted].00 euros missing from the balance of 54.73 euros, corresponding to a transfer she made on the 29th of November [redacted] to her PayPal account, which was sent to you from Banca D'alba Agency in Turin at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, no. 18. We kindly request that you review and confirm if it has been received and why it does not reflect in the balance. We are awaiting your response. Thank you!

I have been charged for an item I have not received. I spoke with two representatives, and the last one advised me to email the company. Unfortunately, like many Chinese vendors, their email appears to be invalid. In my previous PayPal disputes, I have struggled to reach Chinese vendors, so I am reaching out here to request the cancellation of my order from January 24, [redacted], for plush gnomes. The item is incorrectly labeled as a coat, but it is not. During Christmas, I shopped online extensively and received my coat promptly from Macy's for $60. The plush gnomes order, which was $24, needs to be canceled as I no longer wish to receive it. I have had challenges communicating with this company that starts with the letter Y. I appreciate your assistance in processing my refund quickly, as I prefer not to escalate this to a dispute due to concerns about receiving the unwanted merchandise. Dealing with Chinese vendors has been frustrating for me due to misleading information and inferior products. Thank you for your support. - LP

I am frustrated with the recent issues I have experienced with my account. Due to an unauthorized charge, I was issued a new account number which caused some of my automatic payments to not transfer over correctly. I paid off my deferred account nearly two weeks ago, but it is not reflecting on my electronic statement. Despite having a late charge removed, I am still facing discrepancies. Additionally, I received a scam text requesting my ID with a photo, which I identified and reported. I expect my payments to be accurately recorded, especially since I believe I still owe $44. I am concerned about the integrity of my account, particularly because of my job loss and past negative experiences with Synchrony. These issues are extremely frustrating and upsetting. - Carol S.

I have not received three items that I purchased using PayPal Credit. I disputed these charges, but unfortunately, my claims were rejected. I find it unfair to be charged for items that I never received. If PayPal does not resolve this issue and provide a credit for the missing items, I will no longer use their services. One item was priced at $44.00, another at $44.97, and the third at $17.86. I have always had good experiences with resolving issues through my credit card company, but this situation has left me frustrated with PayPal's lack of support for their customers. I hope this can be resolved promptly.

I received an email from someone claiming to be from PayPal about a pending charge that wasn't mine. After calling the number provided, a man from the 'tech department' called me back and asked to access my computer to remove alleged bogus programs and install new software. He requested my credit card information for a $[redacted].00 charge, but later, I found unauthorized charges on my PayPal and bank accounts. I am currently working with my bank to resolve this issue. Anil Kumar, the person listed on the activity, may have accessed my bank information through my PayPal account. I hired a trusted technician to address the software added to my computer by the scammer, incurring an additional cost of $[redacted]. PayPal denied my dispute for the $[redacted].00 charge. I believe these individuals are fraudulent scammers and request a refund of at least the $[redacted].00.

I purchased a non-contact forehead thermometer for $24.99 online through eBay from a company named Warzots. After a two-month wait, I received a cheap oral thermometer instead. When I tried to contact them, I was directed to an error page, leaving me frustrated. I attempted to seek assistance from eBay but faced issues since I used the guest checkout option instead of signing in with an account. I am concerned about being scammed and what might happen with my information. I just want to have my $24.99 refunded.

I am having issues with making purchases on eBay using PayPal Mexico as the payment method. PayPal Mexico indicates that the transaction is considered risky and blocks the payment. This situation makes me wonder if buying on eBay from the United States is inherently high risk. I will demonstrate to eBay the message I receive from PayPal Mexico, which deters me from completing the payment for the item. This experience has led me to question the safety of using eBay for purchasing due to the perceived risks associated with payment. If anyone has encountered similar challenges, please share your insights. Thank you. Email: [redacted] Phone: ([redacted]) 94 2 93 63

I bought two airline tickets from SAS Scandinavian Airlines on January 4, [redacted] for $[redacted].02 through PayPal credit for a May [redacted] trip (Booking Code JURELN). SAS Airlines canceled the flights and promised vouchers via email on May 12, [redacted]. Despite several calls to Customer Service and online chats, they now claim I can't get vouchers or a refund because I accepted the original offer. When I disputed with PayPal, it was denied due to the [redacted]-day limit. Contacting PayPal has been frustrating with automated responses and long wait times. Despite the canceled service, I am stuck without any resolution.

Several months ago, I contacted a PayPal representative shortly after opening my account to address a billing issue. Despite being assured that there would be no charges and the account would be closed, I recently received an overdue bill from PayPal. Upon reviewing my bank statements, I discovered that Synchrony Bank has also been deducting funds from my debit card. I am extremely displeased with this situation. I demand the immediate closure of my account and a refund of the money withdrawn from my debit card. Failure to comply will result in legal action against PayPal Credit and Synchrony Bank.
