I have been charged $89.70 for 3 months instead of the supposed 20% off rate of $35.85. It appears that an error was made during the billing process. I promptly contacted you via email to cancel everything due to this issue. I will be escalating this matter with my bank. The website does not seem to be functioning correctly either. My name is Vikki Menefee, and you can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] I trust that you now have the necessary information, which you claimed was missing. I believe I have previously reached out to you via email on your platform regarding this matter.

I was supposed to have been charged for 3 months with a 20% discount but was incorrectly charged over $80 instead of $35.85. I tried calling without success, and I have sent multiple emails. Despite providing you with my email, phone number, and name several times, I have not received a response. I am requesting a refund promptly, or I will involve my bank to resolve this issue. I mistakenly hit the wrong button instead of canceling when I realized I was charged the full amount. My details are Vikki Menefee, email: [redacted], phone number: [redacted]. Thank you.

I recently connected with someone from OKCupid named George. However, today I came across another profile using a different name, Luis, with the same pictures. The individual in both profiles is clearly the same person. George also mentioned being Latino and potentially using the name Jorge. Both profiles state he lives in San Francisco. Interestingly, after our first meeting, he suddenly had a business trip to the east coast. When I searched for his profile under George today, I couldn't find it. I am unsure if he is involved in any fraudulent activities or if he might have a relationship already.

Hello,
I would like to inform you that I no longer have an account on OK Cupid. However, I feel compelled to report an individual who may be misusing your platform.
The person in question is Couldren Bogar, also known as David Bogar. This individual has a history of being both mentally and physically abusive towards women.
There is an ongoing criminal case against him in North Carolina for assaulting a female. I experienced his violent behavior firsthand in his home, in the presence of our children. Despite initially appearing charming, he can quickly become aggressive. He exploits online dating platforms to target vulnerable women for mistreatment and abuse.
I urge you to prevent David Bogar from victimizing women through your website and block his access. In reaching out to his ex-girlfriend and ex-wife, I have learned that this is a recurring pattern of behavior for him. They are also fearful of him.
Thank you for taking this matter seriously. Collaboration within our community is vital in ensuring everyone's safety. Please feel free to reach out if you require further information.
Thank you,
Loretta

Hello, I recently joined the app about 5 days ago. Everything was fine until my Double Take page restricted me from continuing to view and like profiles. A popup message suggested I message someone and set a date as I had liked too many people without initiating any conversations. I reduced my likes by messaging and unmatching most people, going from around 50 likes to 7 likes without messages. However, my Double Take screen is still asking me to send messages. The app functioned properly when I had 20 likes, so why is it still not working after following the instructions to reduce my likes? I hope my Double Take counter will allow me to swipe freely again soon. Thank you! - D.

I am experiencing issues with the features on the platform. Despite trying to pass on someone who liked me, they remain in the "liked me" section. Moreover, a person messaged me today but their message doesn't appear in my conversations even after liking and replying. I can only see the message by going to their profile and clicking "send message." This makes me uncertain if they will see my reply. I am concerned about not receiving notifications of their response. I hope these problems can be resolved as I am considering not renewing my subscription if this continues.

Hello,
I am unsure whether I signed up using my email or through Facebook before. I am currently attempting to log in and received a message saying my account has been suspended. Initially, I considered it might be a server issue, but upon investigating, I found some comments on Reddit implying OkCupid suspends accounts for sexual harassment. Sexual harassment? I haven't used this app in over a year. Recently, my phone was stolen, and my social media accounts were compromised. Could you please clarify what is happening?
I realize that people can claim they were hacked, and I am willing to provide evidence if needed. However, if this violates your policy, I respect that. Can you inform me how long the suspension will last? I look forward to your response. Thank you.
Best,
Awais

On 4/4/18, I received a notification about violating terms for allegedly sending abusive messages, which was confusing to me as I hadn't done anything wrong to my knowledge. After a thorough investigation, I uncovered that my laptop containing dating site credentials was stolen in a burglary, potentially leading to unauthorized access to my accounts. This explained the unexpected complaints about abusive messages filed against me on two separate dating sites. The thieves or buyers of the stolen laptop are likely responsible for these actions, not me.
I lacked control over the compromised laptop, making it impossible for me to prevent or address these issues promptly. I believe that the criminal used my accounts to send the messages, as I had no prior history of such behavior on the sites. I am willing to provide copies of messages sent from my IP address, 71.[redacted].[redacted].[redacted], during the indicated period to demonstrate my innocence. It's essential for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the stolen laptop to contact the Salem, Oregon police to assist in catching those involved in the burglary.
Thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter.

On 4/4/18, I received accusations of terms violations regarding abusive messages, which came as a shock. I had no recollection of sending such messages and believed I had not breached any terms of service. Despite maintaining a clean profile for years, the accusations left me questioning my integrity.
However, upon recalling a past break-in where my laptop containing dating site login credentials was stolen, the pieces started to fall into place. Attached is a police report and a photo of the burglarized door from the incident. It became evident that the culprit behind the abusive messages was likely the thief who gained access to my accounts.
Unaware of the fraudulent activity due to the stolen laptop, I found myself unjustly banned without any clarity on the situation. The timing and nature of the complaints on two separate dating sites were too coincidental to ignore, pointing to the true perpetrator misusing my accounts.
I am eager to provide copies of my messages from 11-19-[redacted] to 4-4-[redacted] on OKC to demonstrate my innocence. My IP address is 71.[redacted].[redacted].[redacted]. I urge anyone with information regarding the stolen laptop to contact the Salem, Oregon police to help bring the criminals to justice.
Thank you for your attention,
Kindly consider reinstating my account.

Subject: Urgent: Seeking Help with OKCupid Account Issue
I am urgently seeking assistance regarding my OKCupid account. On 4/4/18, I was accused of violating terms for sending abusive messages, which I did not do. My profile had been violation-free for years prior to this incident. Upon reflecting, I remembered that my laptop, with all my dating site information, was stolen during a home burglary. This laptop might have been used to send the abusive messages that led to the accusations against me. Attached is a police report and a photo of the burglarized door for reference.
It seems likely that the individual(s) who had access to my stolen laptop are behind these actions on my accounts. I had no control over the stolen laptop, and I had no prior knowledge of these messages. It is evident that someone else is responsible for these violations. I am unfairly being held accountable for someone else's actions, and I seek your help in reinstating my account.
I kindly request that the authorities be contacted if anyone has information about the whereabouts of the stolen laptop. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue.

My home was broken into on 4/4/18, and my laptop which contained my usernames and passwords was stolen. Recently, I was wrongly accused by OKCupid of sending abusive messages which I did not send. After investigating, I realized that the thieves who stole my laptop are the ones responsible for these messages on my dating accounts. I have a clean history on these sites and this incident occurred after the theft. I had no control over the laptop and couldn't change my passwords after being banned. It's clear that someone with access to my stolen laptop is behind these messages. I urge anyone with information about the burglary to contact the Salem, Oregon police. I'm seeking help to clear my name and have my OKCupid account reinstated.

I recently faced a distressing situation when my home was burglarized, and a laptop containing my dating site login details was stolen. Consequently, abusive messages were sent from my accounts on two dating sites, leading to my account being blocked for alleged terms violations, which I firmly deny. Despite my thorough investigation and proof of the burglary, I was unjustly accused by OKCupid of sending these messages. The laptop theft clearly led to unauthorized access to my accounts, as I had no history of violations prior to the incident. Unfortunately, without access to my account post-ban, I couldn't rectify the situation or change passwords. It’s evident that the culprit behind the abusive messages used the stolen laptop to carry out these actions, directly implicating me. I urge anyone with information about the stolen laptop to contact the Salem, Oregon police to assist in recovering it and bringing the perpetrators to justice. I seek reinstatement of my OKC account as I am a victim of circumstances beyond my control.

I recently canceled my subscription before uninstalling the app a few weeks ago. As per your website, my account was scheduled to be billed on November 1st and then not until January 1st. Nevertheless, there is a pending charge on December 1st, which conflicts with the billing schedule. I would like to request a refund for the $19.99 charge and have my account deactivated as I have found a connection on the site. Despite canceling my subscription, the charge was still processed earlier than expected based on the information provided on your website.

On December 12th in the evening, I accidentally sent a message with just one word and couldn't go back to complete it. How can I rectify this without an existing connection with the recipient? Additionally, it would be helpful to have a SEND button to finalize messages and the ability to use carriage returns for new lines. This issue is similar to a previous one I encountered a few days ago.
For a solution, I'd like to send a message to Marjorie, a 70-year-old woman from Denver who is straight, single, monogamous, 5’7” tall and thin. She speaks English, has a post-graduate education, is agnostic, doesn't smoke but drinks socially, eats all kinds of food, has children and does not want more, and owns dogs. Marjorie is seeking men for long-term dating within a 25-mile radius, aged 63 to 72.

I have been a member of OK Cupid for years. I regularly receive email messages listing people who match my profile. For the last month, I have been unable to open OK Cupid's website. Initially, Safari flagged it as unsafe due to identity theft risks, and now both Safari and Chrome show me a blank screen. The OK Cupid app on my iPad and iPhone (both running OS 10) also opens to a blank screen. I have waited a month, hoping the issue would resolve, but nothing has changed. Please advise on how I can resolve this and continue using OK Cupid to find a partner. -Michael, MP.

I am experiencing difficulty logging into the website as I cannot recall the email address I entered during registration. I suspect there was a typo, and without a confirmation step during sign-up, this error went unnoticed. Despite numerous attempts with various email combinations, I can't gain access, although I do remember the password. I am concerned about my data lingering online, and frustrated by the lack of customer support from these digital platforms. My attempts to seek assistance via the site have been unfruitful, receiving either automated replies or no response at all. I am seeking guidance on how to retrieve or update the email linked to my account, or if there are related services like Tinder or Match that could offer support. Please note that the email provided in this message is not the one I used for my OKC account. Thank you for your help.

I am having trouble logging into OkCupid.com as I cannot remember the email I used to sign up. There doesn't seem to be a way to confirm the email during signup, and now I'm unable to access my account. I've tried various email combinations unsuccessfully, but I do remember my password and can provide my name and phone number. I find it frustrating that online platforms like OkCupid lack adequate customer support, as I have received unhelpful automated responses or no response at all to my multiple requests for assistance. Is there a method to retrieve or update the email linked to my account? Alternatively, are there related services like Tinder and Match that could offer support? Please note that the email I have listed here is not the one I initially used for my OkCupid account. Thank you for any assistance.

I accidentally purchased the wrong subscription on OkCupid while intoxicated. I reached out to them explaining my mix-up and asked to switch my membership to a different plan for a month. Their response informed me that upgrading from Basic to Premium isn't an option. They advised me to seek a refund from Apple for the Basic subscription and then purchase Premium separately. Unfortunately, Apple stated I'm not eligible for a refund, leaving me at a dead end. It's frustrating as I would prefer not to be on the current plan for the next six months. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Thank you,
April

I find OkCupid to be disappointing. The format, users, and interaction are all lacking compared to other sites. I recently joined Plenty of Fish and within an hour received far more messages than my time on OkCupid. The ability to freely send messages on POF without them disappearing until the recipient replies is a refreshing change. OkCupid's message visibility makes it difficult for meaningful connections to happen. The previous interaction style on OkCupid was better, allowing for easier communication and results. The decline in user experience has led many, including myself, to leave OkCupid. The swift and abundant responses on Plenty of Fish have shown me what a more positive online dating experience can be. Despite not wanting to hype POF, OkCupid could benefit from observing its competitor and improving its own platform. OkCupid's recent changes have made it a regrettable choice for me.
