I won an appeal in May or June. I was informed that I was no longer responsible for the overpayment and could resume claiming benefits. I followed the instructions given; however, unexpectedly, the $4,[redacted] I had saved vanished. I received a letter offering unemployment benefits, then received a couple of payments. But, out of the blue, I received another letter stating I was overpaid again and couldn't claim benefits anymore. Now, I'm bombarded with letters demanding repayment. I followed the advice provided, but now I'm facing trouble. This situation has caused me anxiety and depression, resulting in medication use. I had to borrow money to survive. I returned to work promptly when my job reopened, but it seems my records were not updated correctly in the system. I am utterly confused and desperate for a solution. The issue should have gone back to [redacted], not [redacted]. I've been waiting for a specialist for months. I urge for assistance in resolving this matter.

Issue #1: My last benefit payment was on 3/29. The week after, I was unable to work but still actively searched for employment, with doctor's proof supporting my claim. While understanding I wouldn't be compensated for that specific week, the subsequent week I was fit for work. However, I was informed I wouldn't receive payment and I'm seeking clarity on the matter. I was advised to contact the reemployment center but have been unable to reach anyone. I urgently need assistance to resolve this and receive my due payment. Issue #2: Owing to a workers' compensation problem, I received unemployment benefits bi-weekly post an adjudication form, retroactively from October 10th. Despite this, I continued to certify and search for work diligently each week, maintaining a record in an Excel spreadsheet. Seeking further job training, particularly to attain an ASQ Auditor certificate, is vital for my job prospects given the current market conditions reflecting significantly lower salaries. I've already submitted two online information requests and am considering a job offer that pays considerably less and involves a lengthy commute. Could you kindly guide me on extending my benefits, securing the necessary training, and navigating my career choices effectively?

I lost my job on December 16, [redacted], and applied for NJ unemployment on January 9, [redacted], as I searched for new opportunities. Despite qualifying, cybercriminals compromised my account, changed my pin and password, and redirected my calls, hindering my ability to certify and resolve the issue with NJDOL. The theft of my driver's license and replacement from NJDMV further complicated proving my identity. After navigating countless obstacles, my claim remains unprocessed as of March 26, [redacted]. Although I secured two new jobs last week, the four months without income have created financial strain. I urgently seek the benefits owed to me from January 9 to last week to support myself during this challenging period. I appeal for assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

Since April [redacted], I have been working as an RN at CareOne at Livingston. In November [redacted], they dismissed the supervisor, and since then, I have been performing both floor nurse and supervisor duties without a pay raise. Despite being promised a bonus, it never materialized. I accepted the RN supervisor role in June [redacted], but did not receive the promised bonus between $5,[redacted] to $10,[redacted] on my work anniversary. Requesting time off has been challenging as they deny my vacation requests and do not pay me for it, citing a lack of replacement RNs. When I requested a transfer to another facility within the company, they failed to provide the necessary paperwork. After being denied vacation time, I decided to leave and work as a contract nurse. Although they asked me to return in September [redacted], they now want to decrease my hours without pay. Any advice would be appreciated.

As an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College, my class was canceled in spring [redacted] due to low enrollment amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Subsequently, I received unemployment benefits until returning to work in fall [redacted]. Unfortunately, my spring [redacted] class was also canceled due to low enrollment. When I attempted to restart my unemployment claim in January [redacted], the website showed an error indicating a possible existing claim. Despite following the instructions to check the claim status, I was unable to certify for benefits or initiate a new claim. I contacted the support line, and after several months of attempting to resolve the issue, it remains unresolved. I have been informed that only the technical support team can address this matter. Despite assurances that the issue is being expedited, no resolution has been reached. I humbly request assistance as I have been without financial aid for six months and any support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

My claim was filed on 1/23/22, and I am frustrated that I have not received any payment yet. When I try to access my account, I realize my email is not linked to it, making it impossible to check the status. The NJ DOL informed me another email, possibly [redacted] with a potential typo, is associated with my account. Despite the message indicating my claim is being paid, I haven't received any funds. I've made numerous attempts through calls, letters, and forms to solve this issue without success. My case has been escalated to expedite my benefits, as the 26-week mark approaches. I desperately need financial assistance, and after five months of no progress from DOL UI, I feel frustrated and neglected. Please, can you urgently address this matter? Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you. S.B. [redacted] [redacted]

I initially filed on June 5th. However, there was an issue due to a previous erroneous claim filed in [redacted], causing delays in processing my claim. After corrections were made, my claim required further investigation. I completed a questionnaire about my employment and reasons for claiming unemployment. Approval was received at the beginning of July, but now I am facing difficulties filing my claim again. It expired, leading to a new filing, which is now encountering processing issues. These setbacks are causing financial strain, with rent payments two months behind and the fear of eviction looming. I urgently need my retroactive benefits from the original filing date of June 5th to be processed correctly to move forward.

I have been patiently waiting to receive my back pay and certify for my [redacted] and [redacted] unemployment claims. Despite providing all necessary employment documentation and resolving overpayment issues, I have now been informed that I am suddenly ineligible for benefits, leading to owed payments. This is frustrating as I have repeatedly been assured of receiving these benefits. An in-person appointment failed to result in the submission of required paperwork to the correct department by Mrs. Martinez, causing further delays and financial hardship. The lack of progress has resulted in falling behind on bills and losing my housing. After waiting for three years for this back pay, it is disheartening to face obstacles preventing me from receiving the funds owed, especially considering taxes were paid on money that was never received.

I have had a claim for over a month now. The funds appear to have been loaded, but each week when I try to file, it says payment is not available at this time. When I first submitted my claim over a month ago, I was informed that someone had attempted to file a fraudulent claim using some of my information. I contacted the fraud department and was advised that the issue had been rectified. However, I was also informed that the pend pay indicator might be on and needs to be turned off. Despite my daily calls, I have been unable to reach anyone for assistance with these ongoing problems. I have tried calling all the listed Unemployment phone numbers multiple times a day, but the line instructs me to call back tomorrow without any resolution. This situation is causing significant hardship for my family and me. Your help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have been trying to get my case reviewed since my appeal in October [redacted]. Despite assurances from multiple NJ Unemployment employees that I would be contacted, I have not heard from anyone. My address has remained the same, yet no assistance has been provided. The inability to access my weekly benefits has made it challenging to support my family during this difficult time. Even though a dollar amount appeared beside my case number recently, I am still unable to claim my benefits. The message instructs me to contact employees who never answer their phones, which is not helpful. It is frustrating dealing with a system that is not responsive when I need assistance the most. I have updated my phone number multiple times, but the old number is still displayed. I urge the NJ Unemployment authorities to reopen the centers so that those in need can receive the help they require.

I am inquiring about the status of my unemployment claim. Unfortunately, there has been a case of theft regarding my benefits, involving state and federal funds. I have evidence that could potentially identify the individual responsible for this theft. The postal service worker has confirmed that my benefits were being sent to my address but were being stolen. The claim was made under my name, and I discovered the claim page open on a tablet in my residence at the time. It appears that a family member was taking advantage of the situation while I was working full time. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with a supervisor. I work for the City of Clifton and filed a police report over a year ago regarding this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope to receive a prompt response soon.

I filed a claim on 11/14/21, but it was randomly closed. I initially received benefits for 39 weeks due to a covid extension. I returned to work from 01/03/[redacted] to 06/18/[redacted], when I was laid off again. When I tried to claim two weeks ago, I was unable to do so. Even though the extension was terminated, I believe I should still have about 6 weeks left on my claim. I received an email from NJ Unemployment regarding adjudication. I answered questions about working from 01/03/[redacted] to 06/18/[redacted] but have not claimed benefits for that period. I followed the instructions in the email to keep claiming benefits while the matter is resolved. However, this week I was notified that my claim was closed, but when I checked online, it showed as open. I am unsure of what steps to take next and would appreciate any information or a contact number to speak with someone for assistance without having to wait for weeks for the adjudication to be resolved.

On July 18th, I had surgery on my right thumb and had to take time off work. After completing my rehab, I was supposed to return to work on August 14th. Unfortunately, my boss informed me that due to slow business, I was being laid off. I filed a claim on the 14th, but it only shows as filed without a start date for claiming benefits. On Saturday the 24th, my boss mentioned that business was picking up and he hadn't received anything from unemployment, which I found hard to believe. Despite this, I had already secured a job at a different company starting on September 26th. I am anxiously awaiting news about my unemployment benefits from August 14th to September 23rd as I need them to catch up on bills. I have not received any responses from unemployment and find it difficult to understand why it's taking so long, unless my old boss failed to submit the necessary paperwork.

I am having difficulty resolving this issue online and need to speak to a representative via phone. I have tried calling at different times, but I always encounter a message about high call volumes and can't reach anyone. This is frustrating because I am currently unemployed and need to file a new claim. The system seems to indicate that I already have a claim open, but this is incorrect. My last claim was on 10/1/[redacted], and I have been employed from April to October 16th.

I was sent to the UPS store to verify my identity. 48 hours later, I contacted unemployment and was informed that my funds could not be released due to issues with my bank account. I updated my account information as instructed, but encountered the same problem. The supervisor advised me to wait until Friday to file my claim, ensuring there would be no issues. Despite following the instructions, I am still unable to access my funds. I reached out to unemployment services, waited on hold for 2 hours and 59 minutes, only to be disconnected. I have been waiting for assistance for a considerable amount of time and am now seeking help.

I filed my claim on March 15, [redacted]. I have certified for all the weeks required and verified my identification with ID.me. However, I have not received any payments on my claim yet. I recently received an eviction notice and I am struggling to provide for my family with no food or money. Despite calling every day to inquire about my claim, I have not been able to speak to a live person or get any updates. I have not received a check or any bank card related to my claim. I am desperate for assistance and wondering when I will receive my payments.

I recently received payment for my first week of unemployment in September, but subsequent weeks remain unpaid without any communication from the NJ unemployment office providing an explanation for the delay. Upon certifying my weekly benefits, an automated response indicated that my responses required manual review for eligibility determination. Despite the message stating a review period of up to 5 business days, it has been over 7 days with no further updates or payments. Attempts to contact the Reemployment Call Center have been unsuccessful as the line redirects me to call back later due to high call volumes.

For nearly seven months, I've struggled to certify my weekly benefits. Contacting the New Jersey Department of Labor has proven futile as reaching a representative by phone has been impossible. I am in urgent need of assistance to resolve this ongoing issue. The ability to certify for benefits is crucial, and I've been unable to do so for far too long. Despite understanding the challenges you are facing handling inquiries, I kindly request your help with this matter. Thank you in advance for your support.

I have been trying to reach an agent since April 12, [redacted], and have faced challenges with my unemployment claim balance appearing after technical issues and missing deadlines. Despite escalating the matter approximately five times and contacting the governor's office, I have not received assistance. It was only recently, on 11-17-[redacted], that an agent mentioned my eligibility but failed to provide further support. I am struggling to access $16,[redacted] in benefits crucial for my family's well-being. I am disappointed by the lack of response and understanding from the NJ state workers. My situation is dire, and I feel misunderstood and wrongly accused of lying. I urge for prompt and compassionate help in resolving this issue. Please assist me in rectifying this distressing situation.
