After receiving unemployment benefits in NJ, the NJ unemployment office informed me that I had income from NY and needed to file there. This NY income was from severance and should not have affected my benefits. I should have also received extended benefits and federal supplemental income. Despite being told my claim would be expedited in March and May, I have not received any benefits since January 19, [redacted]. My NJ unemployment status shows over $6k in the W.B.R. field, which should allow me to certify, but every time I try, I am prompted to speak to a representative. My benefits remain on hold, and I urgently need them to be released. It is frustrating that it has taken six months to resolve this issue. Desperately seeking help!

As a New York City resident who worked briefly in [redacted], I was advised by customer service to combine my unemployment claims for New Jersey and New York due to working in both states. Despite this, I have not received any benefits from New Jersey unemployment and my New York unemployment was halted. Additionally, I have been billed for $[redacted], the amount that was previously paid out.
Back in [redacted], I sent a certified letter to New York unemployment regarding this issue. I am requesting documentation from New Jersey unemployment confirming that no funds were received from them, as I continue to await my benefits from New York.

I have been on unemployment, but the last check I received was on March 26 and it required verification. After going through the ID verification process and receiving approval on April 30, I expected to start receiving payments. However, I have been in touch with the unemployment office multiple times and they mentioned they are still waiting for state approval. This delay has caused me financial hardship, making it difficult to pay my landlord and cover other expenses besides food with the help of food stamps. I have been actively searching for work, but the lack of a car restricts the places I can apply to within walking distance. The situation is challenging, and I feel anxious about potentially being locked out of my living space by my landlord who has done so to others before.

I submitted a claim on May 16 and had a phone hearing on June 1. After the hearing, I was informed that my claim was approved. I contacted Bank of America to request a debit card but encountered issues with using my savings account. Despite being initially told I could use it, I received an email from them stating otherwise. Following their instructions, I filled out a form to stop the direct deposit. However, now I'm being told by unemployment that I have to wait 8 weeks. It's frustrating that despite being approved, the issue won't be resolved until September.

In May, I mistakenly answered yes to a question for two consecutive weeks, which led to me being contacted by your team. I was informed that I do not qualify for a pension, but the yes response was actually related to a form for pandemic unemployment benefits that I received and returned. Although the error was corrected, I was advised that it might take up to 8 weeks to resolve. However, it has now been 12 weeks since my last payment on May 15th, [redacted].
