Thank you for your email received on 9/5/19. I am Teana Allen, with the last 4 digits of my card being [redacted]. I am looking to bring my account back to good standing post-September. Regrettably, due to two sudden tragic deaths in our family and the recent loss of a 3-year-old cousin in a St. Louis drive-by within the last 3 weeks, we have been pooling finances to cover funeral expenses. I found it difficult to communicate or engage during this period as I struggled with depression and grief. However, I intend to resume payments by the end of September or certainly by October to improve my account status. I recognize the importance of financial obligations and apologize for the delay.

I am pleased to have this card; however, I need to dispute last month's late charge. When I tried to log in on the due date, I was unable to access my account due to an incorrect password, despite it being saved. This led to me being late in paying my bill by less than five minutes. I was then charged a late fee. I usually don't mind paying fees for genuine lateness, but in this case, it was not my fault. Given the recent issues with Wells Fargo, I have started recording all my online credit card payments as proof. I am dissatisfied with this incident and hope for a peaceful resolution. Best wishes, Jay Sprague.

Subject: Request to Change Payment Date
Hello,
I recently realized that one of my credit card payments was a few days late due to my forgetfulness. I am attempting to align the payment due dates of all three of my credit cards to the 20th of each month, or as close as possible. I have successfully changed two of them, and now I need to adjust the payment date for my Merrick card.
I tried to make the change online following the provided instructions, but I encountered an issue and was unable to locate the option to edit the payment schedule as directed. If setting the 20th as the payment date is not feasible for policy or technical reasons, I kindly request a date as near to that as possible.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
Thank you,
John L.

Hello,
We have experienced quite a series of unfortunate events in the past few months that have put us behind on our payments. From dealing with damages caused by the Power Company in April to facing fraud in our bank account in May to dealing with unexpected surgery in July, it has been a challenging time for us. We have already initiated a lawsuit to seek compensation for the damages incurred during the incident with the Power Company. Despite the setbacks, we are hopeful that we can get back on track with our payments soon. Although we made a smaller payment than planned, we are committed to making regular payments towards our outstanding balance. We are looking to possibly negotiate on some of the late fees considering the circumstances we have faced recently. We hope to resolve these issues and return to making monthly payments as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and assistance during this difficult time. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
The Spencer's

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in regarding a paid collection account number [redacted][redacted] for Merrick Bank Corp. In [redacted], a $[redacted] collection was sent to a collection agency due to non-payment. Despite my efforts to fulfill my debts, I faced challenges after being honorably discharged from the US Army, becoming homeless, and losing most of my possessions. I have been slowly rebuilding my credit by paying off this debt to Merrick Bank Corp.
I am attempting to reestablish my credit for a Security Clearance to re-enlist in the US Army. Unfortunately, this old debt is hindering my progress. I kindly request your consideration in removing this account from the 3 major credit bureaus, as I have successfully resolved 4 other accounts. This assistance would be greatly appreciated and significant for me and my family. Your support for a Combat Army Veteran would mean a lot. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Michael R Williams

Hi there, I am looking for a payment that was sent out on 11/20/[redacted] for $[redacted]. The check was from One Main Financial. My other checks were received on the 23rd and 25th, but this one seems to be delayed. Can you please check your processing center to see what's happening? If it's not found soon, should I cancel the payment and request a new one? Your prompt assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Stephanie

I am having trouble logging into my account to make payments. The landing page works fine, but when I try to log in on login.merrickbank.com, there are security issues preventing me from accessing my account. Customer service has not been helpful in resolving this issue or allowing me to speak with the appropriate technical team for assistance.
Update: I managed to log in without help from MerrickBank and made payments for two months, totaling the regular amounts. However, MerrickBank charged significant fees for the unresolved login problem. I am still dealing with this issue. It's important to note that MerrickBank lacks online assistance, email support, and their customer service team is unwilling to help with resolutions or escalate the matter to capable personnel for further discussion or resolution.

For two consecutive months, my payment has been consistently delayed. I send it out at the post office on the 2nd, but it doesn't show up until the 11th. This is frustrating. Another payment I sent at the same time arrived in just five days. It seems like whoever is handling the payments is not staying on top of it. As a result, I now have to pay late fees. This recurring issue has now caused significant trouble with my account. This problem needs to be addressed promptly.

Subject: Assistance Needed with Credit Card Payments
Dear Customer Service,
I am writing to explain why I have fallen behind on my credit card payments. My husband's cancer has returned, and with him being unable to work, I am now the sole provider. I realize I am delinquent on my payments but would like to propose a solution. I am seeking a deferment for the outstanding balance with arrangements to pay it off at the end of my payment term.
I am requesting to start afresh with a monthly payment of $[redacted] on the 21st of each month. I would appreciate it if this amount could be automatically deducted from my account. Additionally, once the balance is settled, I would like to close the account. I am committed to paying off the debt but need some flexibility at this challenging time. Your assistance in helping me get back on track would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

This morning, I received a card that I tried to activate. However, I was informed that the card had been reported stolen. I was confused as to why they sent me a credit card that was already reported stolen. They mentioned that a credit card ending in [redacted] would be sent. Upon receiving the card, I called to activate it, but was informed that someone else had tried to activate it. I then contacted the bank to speak with a representative and was told that the card had been blocked by the high department. I am in need of assistance to rectify this situation and activate the card.

My name is Caroline V. Cruz. My social is [redacted]. There has been an account reported by Merrick Bank on my credit file, which I have been disputing since last year. I have provided copies of my ID, a police report, and a utility bill to all three credit bureaus, but my requests for an investigation have been ignored. Despite establishing new accounts, I am not being provided with a FICO score by Experian and Equifax. Shockingly, I recently discovered that I have been reported as deceased, further impacting my ability to secure a car loan. I am considering legal action due to the damage caused by this error and urge you to rectify the information on my credit file promptly. Transunion has already completed their investigation and removed accounts related to identity theft. Being falsely reported as deceased is the most concerning issue that needs immediate resolution.

Hello,
I recently noticed that there are unexpected fees on my credit card that were not outlined before I started using it. I believe there might be some misunderstandings regarding payments and charges on my account. There was an early charge without me loading money, and I am unsure about an upcoming payment due on February 2nd.
I originally opened this account as a backup financial option, but I am now concerned about any unauthorized spending or money leaks. If there are any discrepancies, I would appreciate your prompt attention to resolve them.
Given the issues I have encountered and the uncertainties about my account, I kindly request to suspend my account temporarily to prevent any financial losses or confusion. I am willing to address these issues step by step to find a resolution.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Esq.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am reaching out concerning the settlement that closed on June 2, [redacted], for my Merrick Bank account, as reflected on my credit report.
I acknowledge the importance of making timely payments and regret the inconvenience caused by my missed payments due to job loss. I assure you that I have taken measures to prevent such occurrences in the future and aim for financial responsibility.
I am in need of purchasing a new vehicle, and the negative impact of the settlement on my credit report is hindering my ability to secure a favorable loan rate. Therefore, I kindly request Merrick Bank's assistance in making a goodwill adjustment by removing the settlement from my records. This action would significantly enhance my creditworthiness and provide me with the confidence to pursue my financial goals.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
R.R.

I have been charged $[redacted].54 by Orbitz for a car rental (Itinerary #[redacted][redacted]) in Costa Rica. Despite prepaying for the rental, upon arrival, I was asked to pay an additional $[redacted]-$[redacted] which I couldn't afford. This unexpected situation forced me to take a 7-hour bus ride to my remote destination where I am caring for a sick friend as a senior. Contacting Orbitz has been difficult due to limited internet and lack of landlines. I have tried reaching out multiple times with no response. The experience has been distressing for a 65-year-old woman alone in Costa Rica without means of transportation.
