I am a satisfied Maytag dishwasher owner, but the sharp corners on the door caused me an injury last night. The pointed corners resulted in a significant amount of bleeding and pain when I accidentally bumped into it. This is not the first time I or my husband have been hurt by these sharp corners. I am kindly asking Maytag to consider redesigning the dishwasher door corners to be rounded instead. Even though it might incur additional costs, rounded corners could serve as a safety feature and a selling point for the brand. I believe this simple change could prevent injuries for many users. I recently purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer set from Schaefer TV and Appliance. Upon delivery on Friday, I encountered issues with the dryer door not closing properly and the washer shaking during the spin cycle. A repair technician came to address these problems, ordering a new door part for the dryer and balancing and resetting the washer. Unfortunately, this morning my daughter, for whom I bought the set as a gift, had trouble with the load not draining properly. Despite trying various reset methods, the unit would only fill with a little water, hum, and flash lights. As a result, I had to bring the clothes to my home, leaving my daughter's family without a working appliance. The store and service department are closed today, causing me stress and embarrassment.

Our Maytag dryer, model MED 6000Xr1 Ser M[redacted]0, purchased in October [redacted], experienced a serious electrical issue. The wiring inside the dryer burned, causing smoke to emerge. Although the light panel malfunctioned, the drum continued to turn, leaving all items covered in soot. Thanks to my husband's timely discovery, we averted a potential house fire. The burnt wire odor lingered, necessitating thorough cleaning. Despite being used by only two people, the dryer's internal wiring was extensively damaged, rendering it unusable. For safety reasons, we opted to purchase a different brand of dryer. Furthermore, our matching washer encountered issues with leaks that persisted even after a costly repair. These incidents highlight the importance of addressing equipment malfunctions promptly to prevent potential hazards.

Almost five years ago, I purchased a 26 cubic foot Frigidaire Galaxy refrigerator freezer. Shortly after, I noticed a noise and contacted Spencer's Appliances in Chandler, where I bought it. A service technician came out and mentioned it was a tubing issue, but the noise persisted. I called again, and a different technician suggested it was the refrigerant flowing through the lines. Despite living with the noise for years, it appears to be worsening. I initially thought it was the fan motor near the compressor, but upon inspection, the noise seems to be emanating from inside the cabinet and has been getting louder over time. Reluctant to contact Spencer's due to past experiences, I simply wish for the noise to be resolved.

We recently acquired an energy-efficient washer at the ambulance service, along with some family and friends. Unfortunately, there are widespread dissatisfaction and concerns about this type of washer. Many are struggling with clothes coming out half dry and still smelly despite following the instructions. We believe Maytag should continue producing regular washers for those who are unhappy with the new energy-efficient models. It seems like the designer of these washers may not have firsthand experience using them. In our community, numerous individuals have expressed frustration with these washers, with only a couple being okay with them. We hope our feedback is acknowledged, and that standard washers become available again. The prolonged washing cycle, clothes sticking together, and the extra time needed to rewash the laundry are causing significant inconvenience. For many of us, this experience has led to the decision not to purchase such washers in the future. We are one among many dissatisfied customers.

I am dissatisfied with the washer and dryer I bought from Maytag. The clothes do not come out clean or dry after several cycles. In addition, the black clothes have white streaks on them every time I wash them. I am unhappy with the product's performance and energy efficiency. I would like a refund and for Maytag to pick up the appliances. I will not purchase Maytag products again and will advise others against it. The customer service experience has been disappointing, and I find the products inefficient. I need assistance with returning these appliances as they are not meeting my expectations.

My spouse and I recently bought a Maytag washing machine from Home Depot, and we are extremely dissatisfied with it. This machine is terrible. It does not clean laundry well due to the low water because it’s HE. It’s a huge disappointment. We chose this machine because it was made in America, the Maytag brand, and we trust Home Depot, where we have spent thousands of dollars during our home renovation. As a hardworking family, we feel let down by these major brands. We initially contacted Home Depot to return the machine, which is only 30 days old, and they refused, citing policies. We now turn to Maytag for help in resolving this matter. Thank you, D. Annunziata.

I bought a new Maytag washer and dryer in March. I left for another state in July to take care of a sick family member and just returned. I am not satisfied with how these appliances work. They do not turn on properly when I press the power button. I am currently on hold waiting to speak to someone for the second time. I had a Whirlpool front loader for 16 years before this, and I would like Maytag to exchange these appliances for a new Whirlpool. I have been doing laundry for 50 years without any issues until now. These new appliances are causing me a lot of frustration. Please help, Maytag.

I own a Maytag washer with model -MVWB880BW and serial number C[redacted]2, which I bought and installed in August [redacted]. Recently, I discovered extensive rust inside the opening area of the washer. Initially noticing rust particles, I used a flashlight and found rust patches where the paint had chipped off. The store where I purchased the appliance suggested using porcelain touch-up paint after removing rust with a soft brush. However, upon closer inspection, I realized the rust was more widespread than initially visible, indicating poor adhesion of the porcelain to the steel. Despite my attempts to address the issue and contacting both the store and Maytag customer service, I was informed that I would need to cover the cost of a technician. This lack of assistance after diligently following maintenance guidelines and experiencing no issues with my previous washer, which lasted over 20 years, has left me disappointed with the product and customer service. I believe that as a loyal Maytag customer facing a defective part, Maytag should replace it at no cost.

Good Afternoon, I bought a Maytag washer and dryer from Best Buy on 05/13/17. After 5 months, the washer stopped working. Under manufacturer warranty, the master control board was replaced. I had an extended warranty with Whirlpool and Asurian until 05/[redacted]. The washer had to be repaired twice more for the same issue within that time frame. Asurian did not extend the warranty after 05/[redacted]. Unexpectedly, on 11/01/19, the washer broke down again for the 4th time due to the same issue. Best Buy advised me to contact Maytag for a Return Authorization of the defective machine for reimbursement. I am seeking guidance on the best approach to handle this situation. Thank you, Russ P.S. I can provide all purchase and repair documentation if necessary.

I have had a Maytag washer for 42 years with just 1 service call. Two years ago, we purchased a new Maytag washer model MVWB765 FW2, serial number C[redacted]8. Unfortunately, this new machine makes a very loud noise, similar to the sound of 4 cats fighting. As we are planning to move and have the washer inside the house, the noise is unacceptable. We kindly request a visit from a Maytag factory representative to help us resolve this issue. Thank you, Eddie G. [redacted] Sweetbrier Circle Lafayette Ca. [redacted].

While getting a glass of water from our Maytag French door refrigerator, I heard an unusual sound and noticed water gushing out from behind it. After contacting the store we purchased it from less than 9 years ago, they advised that a plumber was required. Our plumber promptly arrived and found that the issue was not with the water line but a crack in the refrigerator itself where the line connects. Unfortunately, this led to damage to our kitchen floor. I am disappointed by this situation, especially considering that this refrigerator was a higher-end model.

I recently bought a new Maytag glass top oven from Lowe's, and after setting it up and turning it on, I noticed smoke and a strange chemical or plastic smell coming from the top left corner behind the stove. I've been trying to contact Maytag's customer support for assistance but have been unable to reach anyone after being redirected to automated messages stating that it's after business hours. I purchased a 10-year warranty for the oven and I'm just looking for some help with this issue.

I need to express my frustration with Diamond Repairs in St. Louis, Missouri. Despite living in Illinois, I've had my dryer service rescheduled four times. Each time a technician has come out, they misdiagnosed the issue; initially, they claimed it was the motor, but upon further inspection, it wasn't. This has resulted in me missing four days of work. Now, they're saying they have the part, but they can't schedule me for another week. This has been going on for almost 5 weeks, and if they can only come next Saturday, it'll have been 6 weeks. I am extremely upset. I made it clear that if they fail to make this appointment, I will purchase a different dryer and no longer support Maytag. I apologize for the lengthy message, but I am truly frustrated.

I purchased a Bravos XL MCT washer from Lowe’s on November 24, [redacted]. Recently, I have been experiencing issues with changing the cycles. Despite trying to unplug it once, the problem persists. I have checked the circuit breaker and even rearranged the load inside the washer, but it still only beeps when I attempt to turn the knob. I have also tried using the cycle that was initially selected, but it doesn't progress.

I am experiencing an issue with my washing machine where the clothes don't get fully submerged in the water during the wash cycle, even with the Deep Water Wash with Extra Rinse setting. Unlike a previous Whirlpool model, the clothes just move in a circular motion and aren't pulled down into the water. I called customer service but was dissatisfied with the response I received. The representative mentioned that Maytag doesn't sell as many products nowadays and that they may not value customer feedback. I wouldn't recommend a Maytag appliance to anyone, not even my enemies. I advised my sister against purchasing a Maytag washing machine due to my negative experience. The model details are: MVWB835DW4 MOD, C[redacted]1 SER.

I am extremely disappointed with the performance of my Maytag washer and the service I have received. Technicians have come out three times to repair it, but the issues persist. I do not want Capital City Appliance from Columbus, Ohio to be sent again, as they have provided terrible service. Despite following all instructions and guidelines, the washer has not functioned properly since its delivery in October [redacted]. It still makes loud noises, shakes violently during the spin cycle, and leaks from the bottom. I have been washing clothes for almost 50 years, and I am certain there is a problem with this washer that needs to be addressed. I hope the company will rectify this situation promptly as I have always been a loyal customer of Maytag, Whirlpool, and Frigidaire products, but I am considering other brands if this issue is not resolved satisfactorily.

I purchased a Maytag washer at the end of December or the beginning of January. Recently, the main board and motor malfunctioned. It took over a week for a technician to come and diagnose the issue. We were informed that we needed to acquire the part ourselves because they hadn't ordered it. Upon contacting Maytag's helpline, they indicated they have three attempts to resolve the problem but couldn't provide a clear timeline for a replacement. I've arranged for the part to be delivered to my home, and once it arrives, we are supposed to schedule the installation. Given our circumstances dealing with health issues, including cancer and upcoming treatments, I expected more support from the extended warranty I purchased. I am unsure when the repair service will return, and it would be comforting to speak with someone in charge to establish a realistic timeframe for the repair or replacement. Thank you, Rev. Gary Gandy.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer in November [redacted]. After 4 to 6 months, the washer started malfunctioning. Despite replacing the motherboard and control panel, the issues recurred after 3 to 4 months. Currently, the machine only operates on one washing option sporadically, often stopping mid-cycle. The repair technicians have visited but only perform a reset without truly inspecting the problem, claiming there is no issue. They even suggested my home WIFI may be causing the problem, which seems unlikely. I am now considering a replacement or refund. If the situation isn't addressed promptly, I will seek a different machine and engage in discussions about the faulty unit's performance. I hope to find a resolution soon. My service request number with Whirlpool is [redacted].

I recently purchased a new high-efficiency washer and dryer that I am not satisfied with. I have been a long-time Maytag owner and my previous machine outperformed this new set. The washer doesn't always fully wet the clothes, even a folded pillowcase came out dry. I was surprised by how little water it uses and the extended wash cycles. The dryer also takes much longer to dry items compared to my old one, even after cleaning the vent pipes. Despite trying the sensor dry setting, clothes still come out damp, so I mostly use the timed dry option. I've only had the machines for three weeks since buying them on 3/23/[redacted], and I was hoping to like them, but I don't. The warranty numbers are MVWC565FW2 and MEDC465HWO. I do not overload the machines as there are only two of us. I'm concerned about the washer's cleaning abilities and the dryer's drying performance. Your assistance would be appreciated.
