My name is John D. & my wife C. had tickets to fly to Germany today as a gift from our future son-in-law. He intends to propose to my daughter, who flew out yesterday, and we were supposed to be there. Sadly, we were denied boarding at JFK Airport because our passports did not meet the 90-day validity requirement. All documentation was submitted when we purchased the tickets. This was our first European trip, and we were unaware of this rule. I believe it's the airline's responsibility to check for any discrepancies in the documents. It's disappointing that they accepted payment without thoroughly reviewing our information. Thank you for nothing!

Hello, I have a flight booked from Barbados (Bridgetown) to India (Delhi) with a layover in Germany (Frankfurt) on December 11th. I am an Indian citizen with a valid B1/B2 US visa. According to the German embassy's website, individuals with a valid US visa can transit through Germany if staying at the same airport and terminal. I'm wondering if I will encounter any issues with Lufthansa since the airline changes during the layover and if I will need to manually transfer my luggage to the connecting flight. Also, is it necessary to book a flight from the US to be allowed to transit through Germany? I am confused about the cost of an extra (2nd bag) of luggage, as the website states different prices ($[redacted] vs. $[redacted]). I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide on these matters as it is time-sensitive. Thank you in advance. - Esha Ahirwar

During my trip from Canada to Cape Town to visit relatives, I encountered a series of unfortunate events. On September 19, [redacted], my flight from Paris to Frankfurt, LH1047, departed on time. However, upon boarding, I was unexpectedly asked to check in my carry-on luggage despite my international destination of Cape Town. Subsequently, in Frankfurt, I discovered that my connecting flight to Cape Town was delayed until the following day, September 20, [redacted], resulting in a delay of 13 hours and 15 minutes. The lack of clear communication regarding the delay, coupled with the unavailability of my checked luggage, left me stranded without essentials or clothing. Ultimately, I reached Cape Town the next day but faced discomfort due to the circumstances. I believe I am entitled to compensation in accordance with EC regulation [redacted]/[redacted]/EC for the disruptions caused to my trip. My booking reference for the journey is K7PZVQ.

Subject: Missing Items Report - Eurowings Flight EW [redacted] & EW [redacted]
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to report missing items from my luggage on my recent Eurowings flights from Birmingham to Duisburg (EW [redacted]) and then to Zagreb (EW [redacted]) on September 21, [redacted]. The baggage identification tag is EW [redacted].
I purchased a one-way ticket through Lufthansa's website and received a standby check-in pass for the second leg of my journey from Duisburg to Zagreb, despite my bag being tagged for Zagreb. I informed Eurowings staff in Duisburg and boarded the flight to Zagreb with enough time for any issues to be resolved.
Upon arrival in Zagreb, I found my suitcase missing and reported it at the Lost and Found office (report number: ZAGEW11191/21SEP19/1350GMT). It arrived the next day from Duisburg via Frankfurt. When I checked, I noticed my belongings had been rearranged, and two pieces of jewelry were missing: an antique golden ring with aquamarine stones and a pair of golden plated earrings.
Swift resolution and reimbursement for the missing items are expected from Lufthansa and Eurowings. Please feel free to reach out if you need more details.
Warm regards,
Jadranka Kim Musa

Hello,
I recently booked a roundtrip flight for two people from Heathrow to Munich in March. The Booking ID is 4W6M6T. The Ticket numbers are [redacted][redacted] for MICHAEL ALAN SHERLOCK and [redacted][redacted] for BENJAMIN HARRY JEANES. The Expedia travel confirmation is for 7 Mar, Itinerary # [redacted][redacted].
I was surprised to discover after payment that checked baggage is not included in the fare. This information was not clearly communicated during the booking process, and I would like to add checked baggage for both passengers without incurring additional charges.
I believe I was not adequately informed about the luggage policy at the time of booking, and I am disappointed by this lack of transparency. I hope this matter can be resolved without any extra fees.
Thank you for your assistance with this issue.
Best regards

Dear Members,
I flew first class from Miami, USA (MIA) to Tallinn, Estonia (TLL) on September 27, [redacted], with a connecting flight in Frankfurt. Upon reaching Tallinn on September 28, [redacted], I discovered that my luggage was delayed due to issues with baggage handling at Frankfurt Airport.
My delayed luggage file reference is TLLLH35483 under the name Elena Buglevski. Despite the passing of two days, my luggage has not been located or delivered to me at my temporary address in Tallinn. I have no spare clothes or personal hygiene items, wearing what I had on during the flight.
As my return to the USA is imminent, I feel frustrated and disappointed by the lack of assistance in this matter. Although I acknowledge that this situation is not directly Lufthansa Airlines' fault, as a first-class passenger, I urge for a prompt resolution and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Please reach out to me via email at [redacted] or on my mobile at [redacted]-[redacted] at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

I am dissatisfied with the seating arrangements made with Lufthansa Airlines. I purchased extra legroom seats for both passengers on flight LH435 from Chicago to Munich, with a connecting flight to Naples, but upon arrival at the counter in Chicago on September 12th, [redacted], we were informed there were no such seats available. We will be returning to Chicago on October 5th with flight LH434. On our return flight, scheduled for October 5th, [redacted], I expect the extra legroom I originally paid for. Additionally, I am requesting financial compensation for the extra charge incurred for the September 12th flight LH435.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Maryam Soheilifar, a passenger on Lufthansa Airways flight No. LH600 from Toronto to Tehran on September 28th. During the layover in Frankfurt, the captain mentioned that due to an issue with the luggage system, some bags were left behind. Upon arrival at IKA, I discovered that two of my bags were missing. Despite filing a claim and being informed they would be on the next flight, it has been three days and my bags have not arrived.
The delayed luggage is causing inconvenience as important documents are needed for administrative purposes within a few days while my husband, who will return to Toronto on October 2nd, is in Iran. This situation is leading to potential financial losses.
I have been a frequent Lufthansa flyer to Toronto and plan to use their services in October. I am seeking compensation for the inconvenience and damages incurred.
Sincerely,
Maryam Soheilifar

Subject: Urgent Request for Ticket Change Due to Family Emergency
Dear [Airline Name] Team,
I am writing with an urgent request regarding my upcoming flight to Poland on 11/3 with booking number: PYOZDS. Unfortunately, my mother requires emergency surgery, and I need to be by her side. I spoke with a representative on the phone who mentioned that while I cannot change my flight for free, there is an option to do so with a fee.
Given the circumstances, I kindly ask for your assistance in allowing me to make the necessary changes to my ticket. I am more than willing to cover any associated costs, including fees for extra luggage. As a loyal customer who frequently travels with your airline on biannual trips to the USA, I sincerely hope we can resolve this matter.
Your understanding and help during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering my request.

Booking number: PYOZDS
Hello,
I need assistance regarding my flight booking. I was informed that changes are not allowed, but I am urgently in need of altering my travel dates due to a serious family emergency. Despite recent policy changes, I have always been willing to pay the necessary fees for modifications. I have a pressing situation in my home country as my Mother requires immediate surgery and I must return as soon as possible. My ticket is currently booked for 11/3, but the situation demands that I make changes sooner.
I am willing to pay the required fees to modify my booking and kindly request an exception since I was unaware of the current restrictions. I have been a loyal customer of Lufthansa for many years and would prefer to adjust my existing booking rather than purchasing a new ticket with a different airline.
Please assist me in resolving this matter promptly.
Thank you,
Natalia B.

I have a flight booked with Lufthansa from Manchester, UK to Moscow, with the return trip from St. Petersburg to Manchester in May [redacted]. I am interested in reserving extra legroom seats, but I am unsure if Lufthansa charges extra for this service during my flights which have layovers in Frankfurt. Since I will have to change planes during the journey with a total of four legs, I am wondering if I will need to pay for extra legroom seats separately for each leg or just once for the outbound and once for the return flights. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

During my trip from Montreal to Frankfurt on August 19th, [redacted], upon arrival at the airport at around 7.30 am, I mistakenly left behind my Guess gym bag. The incident occurred when I was assisted by the mobility car service as I exited the plane. Despite swift action, the bag with sentimental jewelry, essential medication, and personal items vanished without a trace. Despite multiple attempts, contacting the lost and found departments and filing reports at the airport has yielded no results in locating my missing bag. The items inside, including two iPads, medications with the name Shehnaz Vanderlowen, and precious jewelry, hold immense sentimental value. The inability to recover the bag has caused undue stress, especially as it carries items vital to my health and connected to cherished memories. I urge for assistance in locating the bag, given the potential impact of its loss on my well-being and sentimental recollections.

I am frustrated with my recent experience with a Lufthansa flight. My booking code was PRFCBT for a roundtrip flight from Frankfurt to Malta on September 27, [redacted]. Unfortunately, I missed the flight on Friday due to long security lines at Frankfurt airport. The gate agent was unhelpful and directed me to the service center, where I received no assistance either. Despite being told my Sunday flight was still confirmed, I encountered issues when trying to return from Malta. Lufthansa's lack of customer service and unhelpful staff left me with no choice but to book two one-way flights for Saturday at additional cost, totaling [redacted].22 Euros. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, as I have never faced such problems with other airlines in similar circumstances. I hope Lufthansa can provide a solution, whether in the form of a refund, credit, or another option.

Hello, my name is Smart Essel, and I am from Ghana. In [redacted], I traveled from Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana to the UK, transiting through Frankfurt on my way to Manchester. Recently, I realized that I unintentionally took two blankets belonging to Lufthansa from Ghana to Frankfurt and back without permission. As it was my first time traveling abroad, I was unaware of the regulations regarding such items. After reflecting on this, I came to understand the importance of returning what is not mine. Therefore, I am seeking forgiveness and would like to return the blankets. I currently reside and work in Saudi Arabia, visiting Ghana on vacation yearly. I kindly request the contact details to arrange for the blankets to be returned. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thank you, and I look forward to your prompt response.

I want to report an unfortunate incident at the Munich Business Lounge Desk on October 29th around 3:30 pm. My boss, who was in Business Class, asked my friend (Economy Class) and me to accompany him. After paying €29 each as requested, we were attended to by an older lady. Shockingly, she asked me to write my credit card password on a piece of paper, a demand I found unreasonable. Despite offering cash, she seemed uninterested.
The lady was unprofessional and struggled with our payment for almost 30 minutes. A helpful gentleman intervened, resolving the issue quickly. However, she made an error, charging only for my friend's access. I tried to speed up the process to no avail, even though we were running late. Eventually, payment was made, but the lady's parting comment was unwarranted.
The gentleman's rude behavior was disappointing, prompting me to keep calm to avoid further conflict. Despite feeling embarrassed, we left after apologizing, but only to prevent escalation. Unfortunately, this experience with Lufthansa Airlines' Munich Business Lounge Desk was so poor that I won't be using their services again and will advise others likewise.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing regarding flight reservations made on March 8, [redacted] for Lynne Santangelo, Robert Santangelo, and Jean Santangelo. Our Lufthansa booking code is S8CGO7. Our journey included flights on October 10, [redacted], from Boston to Munich (Flight LH425) with premium economy seats 22H, 22K, and 23H. Subsequently, we were scheduled for Flight LH1710 from Munich to DBV.
However, on October 24, [redacted], our flight LH6903 was canceled due to the airline going out of business. We were rebooked on Flight LH1713 from Zagreb to Munich. Despite facing delays and issues with connecting flights to Boston, leading to a forced upgrade to business class in Frankfurt, we faced challenges with staff assistance and rudeness.
We are requesting reimbursement for the unexpected upgrade costs. We believe that the issues experienced during our journey were due to prior flight disruptions and unprofessional treatment from airline staff members.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Lynne Santangelo

Yesterday, I flew on Flight [redacted] from Frankfurt, Germany to Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, upon arrival, my two checked bags with reference numbers LH [redacted] & [redacted] were missing. At luggage pickup, a Lufthansa representative informed me that my luggage missed the connection and would arrive later. I visited the lost luggage office (CBS) at LAX, but their system was down, so I couldn't get any tracking information. I provided my contact details to the lost luggage office, but I haven't received any updates yet.

I need to request a flight change. I previously sent an email to customer service with feedback ID number [redacted]5. Here is a summary of my situation:
I had an account with Lufthansa with incorrect personal details, so I deleted it on 07-10-[redacted] to create a new one. However, I couldn't make a new account due to the system retaining my email address. I then tried to book two tickets from Amsterdam to Tokyo on 07-10-[redacted] but faced issues, leading me to book them separately with booking codes S9P9ZU and SB8COI.
When I tried to check in on 01-11-[redacted] for booking code SB8COI, I couldn't because the name on the ticket was incorrect. Lufthansa advised canceling this ticket, which I did (SB8COI), and purchased a new one (K8UEY2) to travel with my wife.
Now, I need help changing our return tickets to fly back together. Despite various attempts to correct my details and contacting Lufthansa, the issue persists. I hope for a prompt resolution and kindly request to adjust my booking accordingly. You can reach me at +31 [redacted] 21 [redacted] or +31 6 [redacted] 47 [redacted] via WhatsApp, or at [redacted] Thank you.

I purchased a ticket from Rone to Washington Dulles with a connecting flight in Munich. Unfortunately, Lufthansa canceled my Munich to Washington leg and rearranged my flight to JFK. As a professional musician traveling to Washington for work, this situation is highly inconvenient and will result in significant unexpected costs. I planned to join my band for a rehearsal in Washington, but due to this change, I will miss it, leading to the cancellation of a concert resulting in a loss of 2,[redacted] euros. The additional expenses for a hotel room, travel to Washington, and meals are also frustrating as they arose from Lufthansa's sudden decision to alter my destination without considering the impact on my plans. I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor customer service I have received and request immediate reimbursement for these extra costs from Lufthansa.
