In the past 14 years, I've owned 3 Littermaid multiple cat self-cleaning litter boxes without any problems. However, the waste receptacle bin doesn't fit properly on the box of my most recent purchase, causing litter to spill. I'm familiar with how these products work, so I believe it's a defect. This is the second LitterMaid self-cleaning litter box I have purchased within the last year. Both units have had the same issue. The rake stops 3/4 of the way up to the receptacle, failing to empty the waste properly. The first one displayed this after 2 months, even after cleaning and servicing it. Thinking it was a defective item, I bought another one, which stopped working after just two weeks. The rake gets stuck, accompanied by a loud clicking sound. I have cleaned and reset it multiple times, but the problem persists. Having paid almost $[redacted] for this item, I am frustrated to hand scoop waste instead. I seek a replacement or a refund as I believe I am entitled to compensation for this unacceptable experience. If I am unable to resolve this, I will consider reporting this to the Better Business Bureau for assistance.

Hello, I recently purchased the Version 3.2 LitterMaid Automatic Multi-Cat Litter Box on Amazon and was delighted with the prompt delivery. However, I have unfortunately encountered some issues with the product. This is the fifth unit I have bought from LitterMaid and consistently face problems shortly after the warranty expires. The specific issues with this new unit are as follows: 1. The rake takes longer than it should (20 minutes) to start cleaning after my cat uses the box. 2. The rake does not return to its original position after cleaning, leaving waste behind. 3. The waste receptacle lid does not close correctly after the rake moves the waste. Hello, I recently purchased the LitterMaid Automatic Multi-Cat Litter Box Version 3.2 and was pleased with the delivery as it arrived earlier than expected. Unfortunately, this is the fifth box I've bought from Litter Maid, all of which worked fine for a year but developed issues right after the warranty expired. The latest one I received has had problems from the start: 1. The rake should start cleaning up waste within 10 minutes of the cat using the box, but instead, it takes 20 minutes. 2. The rake doesn't go back to its original position or empty the waste into the container. 3. The waste receptacle lid opens when the rake moves the waste, but doesn't return to its initial position. I have been using the LitterMaid corn cob cat litter for years with my 19 cats. Recently, when I opened a new bag to refill a litter box, I was shocked to find what appeared to be a large ball followed by feces. This is very concerning, and I believe there might have been some tampering with the product. I have the batch number, timestamp, and bag details for reference. I typically use the corn cob cat litter, not walnut, and this experience has left me unsettled. I would appreciate an explanation for how this could have occurred. I recently received 2 LitterMaid auto litter boxes from my late uncle. After about 2 months, they stopped working. My sister purchased a newer model, which appears to be of higher quality. I would like to upgrade mine to the improved version. Unfortunately, I am unable to obtain more details from my late uncle, but my aunt mentioned he may have purchased them at Walmart. I am very fond of your products but I believe the older models I have are not as good as the newer one my sister has. Since my current one has stopped working before the expected 90-day lifespan, could I return them by paying a shipping fee and get the upgraded model? I am a loyal customer and believe in the quality of your products. I hope for a resolution to my issue. Thank you.

I own a LitterMaid self-cleaning litter box that is experiencing issues with the on/off/clean switch. Previously, I had to toggle the switch multiple times for it to work correctly, but now it only operates in the clean mode. When I switch it to the normal ON mode, nothing happens. The rake assembly remains at the receptacle end and does not return to its usual park position.

Good morning. I bought the latest Littermaid model from Amazon in May [redacted] and loved its quiet operation compared to previous models. Sadly, it's now stuck mid-cycle with the on/off light still on but completely shut down. With 20 years of experience in pet rescue and many Littermaid machines, I've not seen this happen. I've tried everything to fix it, but it seems completely dead unless there's a 'reset' option for these new models. I appreciate your advice. I also own an older model purchased 7 years ago that's still working great. With 13 cats, having functioning litter boxes is crucial. Thank you for your help. (Birdie H)

I bought the Littermaid automatic litter box for $[redacted] and I am extremely disappointed with it. The machine frequently gets stuck, is noisy, creates a mess, and keeps turning off on its own. It fails to clean the bottom of the box effectively, leaving me to manually clean it using a scooper. If this is a widespread problem, I am requesting a refund or an exchange for a superior model of this litter box.

I own a 3rd edition LitterMaid automatic litter box. It works correctly about 80% of the time, but I am facing an issue with the top lid not closing over the waste receptacle reliably. This causes my cats to avoid using it when the lid malfunctions. I have followed the manual, cleaned the unit multiple times, and the lid still only closes back about 70% of the time. I purchased this product for its convenience, but the recurring problem is frustrating. I need guidance on how to fix this issue or if it's possible to get a replacement.
