I purchased a new home in February [redacted]. Recently, on 11/24, the FAU tripped the circuit breaker. I contacted my service department, and they discovered that the circuit control board was not functioning. After replacing the board, the unit still did not work properly, cycling on and then shutting down. Post-Thanksgiving, a closer inspection revealed faulty factory wiring that had caused a short in the motor, leading to burned wiring and an arc spot on the motor housing. The vendor replaced the defective motor, ensuring that all systems are now operational. Despite contacting Lennox warranty and being informed that my unit was out of warranty by one year, a call to Consumer Affairs went unanswered after a 45-minute hold. Given this factory defect, I am requesting $1,[redacted] reimbursement for parts and service during the holiday period.

I recently had a new Lennox central heating & air conditioning split system installed. However, I am experiencing issues with it short cycling. When I raise the thermostat from 70 to 72 degrees, the system reaches the temperature, shuts off, then turns back on after 3 minutes, only to shut off again after 2 minutes. This cycle repeats about 5 times before staying off for 20 minutes, then turning back on and starting the short cycle once more. This pattern happens 5 or 6 times. Although it doesn't happen consistently, I have observed this behavior for several days. The company responsible for the installation has made unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue.

My furnace frequently needs to be reset after brief power outages, which is a concern as I am not always home to address the issue. Despite engaging multiple HVAC technicians, the cause remains unknown. The problem extends to both heating and air conditioning, affecting my peace of mind regarding potential pipe freezing. The Lennox Elite unit, at least 9 years old, displays a blinking red light every 5 seconds and brief green light. I manage the resets for now but seek a permanent solution to this recurring inconvenience.

On 4/17/[redacted], a new HVAC air handler and heat pump were installed by a local Lennox dealer. On 4/18, I mistakenly registered the equipment and purchased a 5-year labor warranty for $[redacted]. Later on, I realized that there was a miscommunication with my husband, as the dealer had already registered the equipment and we did not want the extended warranty. Is it possible to cancel the warranty order with Lennox and receive a refund of $[redacted]?

Hello, good evening. I purchased a Lennox air conditioner through Costco five years ago with a 10-year warranty. Recently, it stopped working. I contacted the company that installed it, but they claim they are no longer associated with Lennox and won't honor the warranty. Costco has also been unhelpful. I am hoping for a resolution from you. Thank you.

I have been a satisfied Lennox customer since [redacted]. The original variable speed systems worked well for 25 years, but after National Air Mechanical Contractors in New Orleans installed a new top-of-the-line system 6-7 years ago, I've been experiencing frequent service issues. The service calls have become costly, especially with labor not covered under the 10-year warranty. I recently had to deal with high refrigerant charges and the system's inability to cool properly, which is concerning with family visiting soon.
