I recently visited a Jackson Hewitt location inside Walmart for tax assistance for the first time as I usually do my taxes online. Despite having a small Amazon business, I opted to get professional help this year. During the appointment, the tax preparer seemed distracted by phone calls and her children, which was unprofessional. Upon leaving, I realized I only received copies of my W-2 forms and no documentation of what was submitted to the IRS regarding my Amazon business. This prompted me to follow up with the office, but the original preparer had already left and I was directed to contact the main office in San Antonio. After visiting the main office, it became clear that my Amazon business information was not included in the submission to the IRS. I will have to return for an amendment once I receive my refund. I am a Walmart employee who used your services last year due to the discount offered. After a call from my tax preparer about a discrepancy in my file last year, I was informed I would be owed a certain amount. However, upon filing my taxes this year, the discrepancy was not found in my file, and I did not receive what was owed to me. As a current Walmart employee, this year we were promised an e-gift card. When I inquired about the missing amount in my file, I was told by a representative at the main branch that I would only receive a $50 Walmart e-gift card instead of the $[redacted] one that I was not aware of. Despite this assurance, I have not received the $50 e-gift card as promised. I contacted the branch inside my Walmart and was met with questions about my employment status and a lack of resolution regarding the missing gift card. I am disappointed by the lack of assistance and follow-up. I paid for your tax preparation services for two years, totaling $[redacted] this year and $[redacted] last year, and I believe I am rightfully owed the promised e-gift card. I hope to resolve this matter promptly without further delays or questioning of my employment status.

I filed my taxes for myself and my two children without my husband. I wasn't informed I couldn't file this way. No one asked about my gas, scrubs, or my children's education expenses. I need to schedule an appointment at the Walmart in Russellville, Alabama at 10 am to correct this. I need to add additional information and my husband to the taxes. I reported my issue a week ago with no response, and now again, I am reaching out. I have used Jackson Hewitt for two consecutive years. Last year, I was informed of a discrepancy after my taxes were filed, and was assured I would receive the owed amount if I returned the following year. This year, upon my return, the previous information could not be located. Additionally, I was promised a Walmart e-gift card as a Walmart associate, but I never received it. After an inquiry, I was asked about my employment status, which has been continuous for two years. I had a tax appointment with Jackson Hewitt in Bushnell, Florida at 1 PM today. When I arrived, the two ladies gave me strange looks and questioned my appointment. Despite confirming my booking made a week earlier, they debated who would assist me with my tax preparation. The older lady finally started reviewing my documents slowly. She asked me to total it myself, which I found odd as she is the tax preparer. I felt uncomfortable with her approach and lack of professionalism, so I decided to leave with my documents. However, instead of a discount, I was informed that I would receive a $[redacted] "Walmart" gift card when I collected my tax documents a week later, an unexpected expense. To my dismay, I have not received the Walmart gift card. When I contacted your company regarding this issue, they seemed unaware of the gift card promise and provided me with a case number ([redacted]), mentioning a code in my account with no clarity. Despite assurances of a response within one to two days, I have yet to hear from them. I have been waiting for my [redacted] state income tax refund from Jackson Hewitt for over a year and four months. Despite my patience, the manager, Ms. B, has been unresponsive to my attempts to contact her over the phone or in person. My recent visit to the Jackson Hewitt office was met with rude behavior from a clerk, who was unhelpful and displayed disrespect towards my inquiry. Despite requesting for the headquarters to reach out to me, I have not received any calls or emails. The state of Georgia issued my refund to Jackson Hewitt in August [redacted], but I have yet to receive it. During a call with a representative, Ms. B was heard in the background claiming they had attempted to contact me when the check arrived, which I find hard to believe as I have no record of any communication. I am now requesting the prompt delivery of my state refund check and a refund for the services I paid for but did not receive.

For the past 8 years, we've trusted Jackson Hewitt for our tax filings. Our Jackson Hewitt (JH) manager assured us we didn't owe taxes due to our low income, backed by letters from the IRS. I submitted my and my wife's taxes on either January 26 or 27. Initially, they only approved $[redacted] out of the maximum $6,[redacted], which is frustrating. We file jointly every year, including the injured spouse form for the past two years. Even though it was accepted, it's still being processed. There was an error with our son's social security number input by the person assisting us, causing a delay. I had to call to get it corrected. If my taxes need amending because of this mistake, I will not be returning to Jackson Hewitt for my taxes. They cost me money for the rapid refund service, which has not been speedy at all. I encountered multiple issues with a refund advance loan. Initially, the IRS had not processed my refund by mid-April. I had to ID verify my deposit information, which was not included on my [redacted] form. I contacted Republic Bank to obtain this information, which was quite a challenge. Currently, Jackson Hewitt and Republic Bank are unable to provide information on where our stimulus checks will be deposited. The IRS will offer a web portal for deposit information, but the US Treasury website states that existing information cannot be changed. This only benefits those receiving checks by mail. Many frustrated customers, including myself, may not choose to return to Jackson Hewitt in the future. This situation requires resolution.
