I recently accepted a job offer through Indeed with what seemed like a legitimate company called Catapult Learning. However, I was scammed by someone posing as Nick Rosato from the company. After being informed that the position was filled, Nick referred me to his supposed boss, Martin Gabriel, who offered me a personal assistant role transferring funds, promising a share of the profits. Unfortunately, I fell for this scam, deposited a fraudulent check, sent the money as instructed, and later found out the check bounced, leaving me broke. I urge others to be cautious and advise removing this job posting to prevent others from being deceived in the same way.

I placed an advertisement for a technician job listing under Right Way Pest Control with the phone number [redacted], which belongs to my spouse. He received a call from Suzanne at Indeed but due to his hearing impairment, he initially mistook her for a telemarketer. Suzanne was unkind and abruptly ended the call. After I called her back, she suggested we change the contact number on the ad as she found my husband to be rude. I clarified his disability, but she continued to be impolite before hanging up on me. Subsequent attempts to reach her were unsuccessful. This incident has left us dissatisfied with Indeed's service, despite the good response we received previously. We will have to explore other advertising options. Please refrain from calling the number listed on the ad ([redacted]) as it is my husband's line. You can contact me, Debbie Melton, at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] or [redacted] for any further communication.

I recently applied for a job and received an email reply from a person named Paul Wilson. The response seemed suspicious to me, so I'm sharing it here for your assessment. Here is the email: Re: Beth Lion met your application question criteria for Patient Access Representative II Patient Registration Thanks for your Interest. Unfortunately, the position has already been filled, but another offer is available if you are interested. I have gone through your email and I'm impressed. I had a previous personal assistant who had been active for the past 6 months but due to personal sickness, she was unable to carry on. Can you work as my part-time personal assistant? I am constantly out of town and I'm presently in the United Kingdom for a business trip. I will return back to the States by the 29th of next month to discuss the possibility of making this offer long term in person. Please provide me with your "Full Name", "Complete Mailing Address (Not PO Box)" & "Direct Cell Phone Number" to start working as of next week. Looking forward to hearing from you so we can proceed in the next 48 hours. Paul Wilson

I recently received an email from an employer on Indeed regarding a Customer Service Position/Personal Assistant opportunity with someone named Paul Wilson. They mentioned that the position was filled but offered another opportunity. The job involves tasks like receiving and dropping off mail, paying bills, and shopping on behalf of the employer, who claims to be out of town on a business trip. The employer mentioned a weekly salary of $[redacted] and flexible working hours. They asked for my full name, complete mailing address (no PO Box), and direct cell phone number to begin working next week. I also received an approval notice confirming the position and stating that a paycheck would be mailed out including the weekly salary and shopping fund. The employer asked if my phone number can receive text messages and calls and inquired about details on the check. Overall, I am unsure if this is a legitimate job offer.

I recently sought help here regarding an issue with the Indeed job site. Despite updating my resume on Indeed, it wasn't reflecting the changes when I applied for jobs. Consequently, employers saw outdated information, leading to missed opportunities. I've reached out to the help desk but received no reply. I am baffled as to why updated resumes are not being submitted to employers. I feel frustrated and uncertain about my job prospects due to this issue. I am eager to rectify this error with Indeed and seek guidance on resolving this matter promptly.

Please contact me. The Hair Dynasty India Lyles [redacted] Just interviewed an applicant, Lalani Cheris Pike, for a Cosmetologist/Braider position. Ms. Pike was very aggressive and rude before the interview even started. I never had the opportunity to interview her because she was last and I was still with a client when she arrived. I informed Ms. Pike that I would be with her shortly and asked her to have a seat. However, she started questioning me about how long I would be with the client. She then stated that her client wouldn't come to the location as she lives near National Harbor and mentioned her extensive experience in the industry. Thank you, Ms. Lyles [redacted]

Is it common for Indeed to reprimand employers for posting misleading ads on the site? I recently applied for what was advertised as a customer service role but turned out to be a field sales position with some customer service responsibilities. The details were vague until the interview, and I had to push for clarity, even needing a second interview to get the full picture. Deception is not acceptable; it's like calling a burger with a lettuce leaf a salad. I wasted time and money preparing for interviews where the reality didn't match the job description. Additionally, how does Indeed handle fraudulent job postings? I fell victim to a scam from an entity posing as Novavax on Indeed. After investing a week, I discovered it was a deceitful scheme and contacted the legitimate company, who confirmed they were dealing with scammers misusing their name on Indeed. What actions does Indeed take regarding these issues impacting applicants like me who have wasted time and effort?

I'm interested to know if EXL Service Company is a legitimate opportunity to work remotely. They reached out to me through email and instructed me to install the telegraph app for the interview conducted via text message. They mentioned providing necessary equipment and scheduling a check delivery via FedEx tomorrow to buy software for the tools they're sending. The software list provided is confusing and unrelated. I'd appreciate assistance in confirming the legitimacy of this company and offer. This situation raises suspicions of being a scam, which can be harmful to job seekers. Thank you for any guidance. I have been an Indeed user for around 5 years. I recently changed my email to one I can no longer access. Despite this, I would like to continue using my Indeed account to access my resume. To resolve this, I have set up a new email for account recovery. As a Registered Nurse, I created my account with the email [redacted] and later changed it to [redacted], which I am now unable to access. I have a new email, [redacted], that I would like to update my account with so I can regain access. Any help with this matter would be appreciated. I have had a positive experience with Indeed thus far. Thank you.

I own a company where the state provides funds for my home and unfortunately keeps blocking my ability to post job positions. It’s already difficult to find suitable candidates, and the applicants often do not meet the necessary requirements. Many lack a driver's license or even a phone number for contact. Despite having employees working in my home with my son for two decades, the interference from the state system has made it increasingly challenging. The state of Texas conducts frequent home checks due to guardianship arrangements, and we are enrolled in the Easter Seals program, leading to frequent state visits. However, Indeed has once again restricted our posting capabilities, leading me to feel targeted and discriminated against. I understand that Indeed seeks quality postings, but our situation should not be an issue for them.

I noticed unexpected charges on my credit card from previous dates that weren't there before. I've already requested reimbursement from my company for these charges, and now they appear on my statement. The amount is significantly higher than any previous charges, so I believe there may have been an error. I would appreciate it if someone could reach out to me to address this issue promptly. The phone number provided on my credit card statement is not functional. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at ***-***-****. I have been using Indeed to search for jobs for a year now since I lost my job on 11/13/[redacted]. Unfortunately, I have not yet found the right position. Recently, I applied for a job at Champ Insurance in Fort Lauderdale. I interviewed with Patrick, who mentioned I would receive $[redacted].00 during the training period and then work on a commission basis. He even stated that I could potentially earn $[redacted].00 per week, with more opportunities during Open Enrollment. However, after starting on Oct 22, I inquired about my pay at the end of the week. His fiance explained that they typically pay a week later, scheduled for the 5th. On my first day of making calls, I secured a significant sale. The following day, new experienced hires joined us, receiving better leads and leaving us with challenging ones. After being let go due to an excess of staff, I still haven't received my payment, even though I provided my bank details. I am unsure of the next steps to take without a written agreement. How can I proceed in this situation?

My account is [redacted] and it's confusing me with [redacted] I can't change my nancydegatana password, and I'm not receiving any email links. I've tried deleting my account, but nothing has worked. When I attempted to sign in with Google, it still linked me to [redacted] I am unable to access nancydegatana@optonline or check the spam folder since Optimum Online uses a third party for spam filtering. This issue arose when my sister was helping me resolve why I was receiving job emails from out of state without selecting that option. It has been a frustrating experience with everything not functioning properly.

I would like assistance with the resume I submitted. The posted version does not represent me accurately. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me at [redacted] to discuss this. My name is John, and I would like to ensure my resume is corrected. I am aware of the mistake as an employer mentioned my first name as Murrock. I have noticed a lack of interest in my profile for over 30 days, which is concerning. I prefer not to retype all the details. Despite dialing the [redacted] number multiple times, I only encounter a busy signal. I am eager for your help. Please arrange for a call. Thank you for your support. Regards, John.

Hello, I'm Valerie, and I want to report what I believe is a scam job listing on the Indeed website. While the company itself, Ciox Health, is legitimate, the person contacting me appears to be a scammer. I applied for the Data Entry Clerk position on Indeed and was redirected to Glassdoor. Subsequently, I received an email from someone named Amir Keren, requesting to connect via "Hangouts," an Android app, with Mrs. Lynn Howard, who claimed to be the hiring manager. During the Hangouts interview, I noticed grammatical errors and other inconsistencies that raised red flags for me. I reached out to Ciox Health to inform them of this situation yesterday, but I have not received a response yet. Hence, I am informing Indeed as well. I would appreciate it if someone from Indeed could contact Ciox Health regarding the report I have provided. Please feel free to email me if you need further details. Thank you for your attention. One of your representatives, Shannon Banks, has been contacting the President of our company persistently via calls and emails. As the HR Director responsible for hiring, I handle our hiring needs, and the President is simply redirecting Shannon's messages to me. Shannon's aggressive approach is not yielding the desired results and has become bothersome. His relentless tactics are more of a nuisance than helpful, and it is discouraging us from using your online services again. We request that the harassing communication ceases immediately. If we consider using INDEED in the future, it won't involve working with this agent.

I have been using your site to search for job opportunities, but unfortunately, I have encountered multiple scams. Companies I have applied to are contacting me offering interviews and jobs, only to find out they are fraudulent. Recently, I received fake checks totaling $12,[redacted] under the guise of purchasing equipment for the job. I reported this to the local police, but they advised discarding the checks. However, this does not address the underlying issue of my personal information being compromised. Another individual claiming to be from Schmidt Aebi Holdings has since contacted me following a previous scam involving someone posing as Manpower. It seems scammers are exploiting your job site to target unsuspecting individuals. I urge for immediate assistance to address this concerning situation.

I have a GED and an Associate Degree in Science (Paralegal Studies in [redacted]). My concern is that I have applied to over [redacted] job positions or more through Indeed. What bothers me the most is that employers seem to make judgments solely based on the resume without considering my qualifications or skills. This has happened to me numerous times, and it's frustrating. Companies post a job, I apply, and then I receive a rejection email shortly after, only to see the same job reposted within a week on Indeed. It feels like I'm either overqualified or underqualified. It's disheartening to see so many attorneys passing on me. I just wish this issue could be resolved and my concerns acknowledged.
