I have a question on how to show gratitude to my reliable delivery person who brings my newspaper promptly each morning rain or shine. I am unable to personally hand over a gift due to the early delivery time. Could you suggest a way I can pass along my holiday "thank you" to the delivery person?
Thank you,
M. J.

I lost my phone on Mar. 9th, or I would have called earlier. For the second consecutive week, I did not receive my paper. The apartment manager informed me that the current delivery person leaves the paper by the street, the driveway, and even by the garbage cans, which is the nearest to my door. I have been a loyal subscriber for over six years and have always had my papers, including USA Today, delivered to my door by the previous carriers who were excellent. The current carrier seems disrespectful, lazy, and careless. I request a swift change back to my previous carrier and ask for my auto-fill service to be canceled until then. I have reported missing papers before, and despite assurances over the phone, they were never redelivered. I am disappointed with the service provided by the circulation department in handling my case. JRF Acct# [redacted]2.

I am experiencing issues with being double-charged for both the e-newspaper and print edition. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, I am still unable to access the e-newspaper. Today's experience trying to contact customer service was frustrating with long wait times. If I do not hear back from a representative by 10 pm central time, I will have to consider canceling my subscription. I have been a loyal customer for 40 years, and I am disappointed with the poor customer service. As an 80-year-old, I am requesting the e-newspaper, reimbursement, a senior discount, and an apology. Thank you, Isabel B.

I have been trying to reach out for the past two months regarding the delivery issues with the paper in the Brazoria County area. Unfortunately, I have not received any responses. I have attempted to contact you through the website and email, but to no avail. The phone number provided does not have anyone answering calls, and the vending machines in the area are consistently empty. The weekend edition of the paper is also missing from the metroplex and grocery stores. When inquiring about my account, I have found that others are also facing the same problem of not receiving their deliveries. It is crucial for us, including senior citizens, Dow workers, and skilled workers, to have access to the paper on a daily basis. I urge you to resume delivery promptly in Brazoria County to serve the community as before. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Barbara

I have had several recent issues with my newspaper deliveries that I would like to address. Previously, my subscriptions to the Chronicle, The NY Times, and the Wall Street Journal were delivered together by the same person at an early time. Recently, there seems to have been a change in the delivery person, resulting in later deliveries. Additionally, the papers are being thrown onto my front yard or driveway instead of being placed on my front porch as requested. This causes them to get wet from rain and sprinklers, which is inconvenient and difficult for me to retrieve due to my age and mobility issues. I would greatly appreciate it if the delivery person could ensure the papers are either placed on my covered porch or in a location that avoids them getting water-soaked. If these issues persist, I may consider canceling my subscriptions.

I have been a subscriber to the Houston Chronicle for over five years, receiving the Sunday edition only. Recently, I moved to a retirement community with open gates at [redacted] Hunt Rd, Unit 9B, Baytown, TX [redacted]. For the past few weeks, I have received the paper but not the TV Weekly. Despite adding the TV Weekly last week with a promise of delivery yesterday, no one in the entire complex received it. The TV Weekly cannot be purchased separately. I am asking for the Sunday Chronicle with the TV Weekly to be delivered promptly. I rely on and pay for the TV Weekly.
Thank you,
Kathleen F.

After dedicating over 23 years to my employer, a manager who began harassing me five years ago has escalated to criminal acts. Despite seeking legal help in [redacted] and filing reports with EEOC and the FBI Cyber, this bully continues to make my life a living nightmare with new harassment daily. Local authorities seem unequipped to handle the situation, and I cannot afford another private lawyer. The individual in question, having access to all my personal information, leaves me vulnerable to fraud and more. Even my postal box address may have been tampered with. The company's owner confessed to deleting incriminating evidence from my phone to protect their interests. At 75 years old, I find myself in shock at the extent of this harassment. I am a licensed realtor in Texas and have never experienced such a violation. Seeking assistance from the FBI and local law enforcement has not brought resolution. Desperate for help, as these crimes have affected my ability to even file for unemployment since June [redacted].

As an online subscriber, I encounter an issue where I have to log in randomly, especially when clicking on articles. This time, I believe it is due to an irritating "Fall 99 cent sale" pop-up that prevents access to the articles. Being a paid subscriber, I should not have to face this login hindrance and struggle to find my password, especially when I am away from home without my passwords list. Other news sites like the NY Times and Washington Post do not present this problem. I tried to address this with Customer Service, but the rep was unable to comprehend the issue. This recurring problem seems to be either a glitch or poor customer service. I need the Houston Chronicle to stop requiring me to log in repeatedly. It is frustrating and time-consuming. I am seeking a resolution so that I can access the articles seamlessly like any other paid subscriber.

A couple of years ago, we experienced issues with our newspaper delivery service, leading us to cancel our subscription. After being assured of improvement, we re-subscribed and enjoyed great service until recently when problems resurfaced. For example, our Sunday TV listing booklet was missing, and after speaking with the carrier, it arrived late along with an extra edition. Subsequent deliveries have been equally erratic, with multiple copies of the wrong days' papers and missing issues altogether. We reside at [redacted] Hickory Hill Rd., Spring, TX [redacted]. We kindly request a review of this ongoing problem and appreciate any updates on corrective measures taken. Thank you. - Charles and Kathleen Dehne

I did not receive my Sunday paper on Sunday, even after reporting it by phone yesterday. Although I received my Monday paper today, the Sunday paper is still missing. It's disappointing as I expected both papers. My contact details are as follows: Home [redacted], Cell [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] White Pine Lane. I want to highlight that my past service has been excellent, particularly with Mr. King handling my deliveries.

Our new paper delivery person has been quite unreliable. Today, despite the rain, they delivered the paper unwrapped, causing it to get wet. On the last two Sundays, the paper arrived significantly later than usual, around 9:45 a.m. instead of the usual before 7 a.m. Unfortunately, contacting the Chronicle to address these issues is proving difficult as there is no direct phone number to speak to someone. As loyal subscribers for 23 years, this is the first time we have experienced such poor service. I even had to purchase replacement dry papers for our elderly neighbors from a Shell gas station this morning. I hope to have this matter resolved promptly.

I am Thomas C. from Houston, a long-time subscriber of the Chronicle. I have been struggling to reach someone at the Chronicle regarding an issue with my vacation hold. I arranged for a hold from April 16 to April 23, but upon returning, I found wet and soiled papers. While the Sunday 23rd paper was delivered, I have not received any papers since then despite my daily calls to schedule deliveries. It's now April 27, and I am still without my paper. I am disappointed in the service and would appreciate a refund, an apology, and assurance of improved service. Thank you for addressing this matter.

I have not been receiving my home delivery of the Houston Chronicle since BryanCollegeStation Eagle stopped being the delivery partner on June 20. The newspaper has been left outside the gate of University Preserve at [redacted] Sanctuary Ct, College Station, [redacted], making it inconvenient for me to retrieve the paper upon returning home. My old account number is [redacted]99, and I have a subscription paid through 07/16/[redacted]. The delivery person does not seem to know the gate code to access University Preserve, unlike the previous carrier. I am willing to provide the gate code if needed. If the issue persists, I may have to change my subscription due to the inconvenience of having to drive back and forth to retrieve the paper. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

On September 11th, we should celebrate and recognize the 103rd birthday of American hero Mr. Gene Loveland, a WWII veteran living in Houston at The Hallmark Senior Residence Community on [redacted] Hallmark Drive. Mr. Loveland, a U.S. Navy fighter pilot who flew missions post-atomic bombings of Japan, is one of the few remaining WWII veterans. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, worked as an executive at Shell Oil in Houston, and at [redacted] years old, still sports a full head of hair. Gene is known for being articulate, cognitive, and a true hero, making him a great candidate for a feature in the upcoming weekend Chronicle.
