Since [redacted], I've lived abroad and recently discovered I'm eligible for Class 2 NI contributions after submitting the necessary details. Despite verifying this over the phone last December, the online portal still shows the full outstanding amount instead of the reduced Class 2 rate I've been assured of multiple times. Before settling all dues, I need to ensure my Class 2 qualification is recognized correctly. My NINO is NS983376C, and I viewed this discrepancy on my online account as Stephen Poole.

I called a few weeks ago to resolve tax code issues and have now received an updated tax code notice. I also inquired about a P50Z form I submitted previously. I received a letter from you dated 9th January confirming a refund of £[redacted].60 for the tax year. The agent mentioned the cheque had been sent but not cashed. Despite not receiving it, the agent assured that a new cheque would be issued. I still have not received the £[redacted].60 refund. Is it possible for it to be paid directly into my bank account instead?

I manage payroll for six different businesses with a total of 27 employees. My annual income from this service is £[redacted]. I used to be registered with the Money Laundering Service Scheme when I did bookkeeping, but I retired from that in April [redacted]. I recently received a reminder about the registration even though I thought I was deregistered. Can someone clarify if I still need to be registered with The Money Laundering Scheme? My reference number is XJML[redacted]5.

I have been asked to provide an S1 form by L'Assurance Maladie in France to apply for a Carte Vitale. I have owned a property (with my now estranged wife) in France for four years. The house is currently for sale, and though we only lived there briefly, my wife and I parted ways in November [redacted]. I returned to France to reside there temporarily and sell the house before returning to the UK. My main affairs are in the UK where I recently came back from. Given my age (71) and the Covid-19 situation, I am eager to regain access to the French healthcare system for the time being. The uncertainty of property sale timing and my reluctance to leave it unattended complicate matters. Could you assist me by providing the S1 document at [redacted], Impasse des Portes, Langourla [redacted], Brittany? Thank you.

My partner was self-employed in the UK but left in [redacted] to return to Spain. She paid her taxes while self-employed. Recently, our former landlord gave us letters from HMRC dating back to [redacted], mentioning overdue tax returns and penalties totaling £[redacted].07. My partner hasn't worked in the UK since leaving and hasn't returned even as a tourist. We're unsure if more letters are missing and seek advice on whether this debt can be cancelled. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I am Gabriela Stan, and I recently worked with an accountant to set up my Self Assessment account on Gateway Gov for tax purposes. I have been receiving correspondence at my address concerning taxes; however, I am experiencing difficulties logging into my account. I need to make a payment and review my taxes, but I am currently unable to do so. Unfortunately, I am unable to contact the accountant who assisted me, and I do not have access to my user ID, password, email, or phone number associated with the account. These details were never provided to me. Can you please assist me with this issue? Thank you! Best regards, Gabriela Stan

I separated from my husband on August 4th. He has been receiving some of my tax allowance, which I want to have changed and refunded. My name is L. Carr, and I live at 38 Spen Street, Stanley, Co Durham, DH9 7NJ. My National Insurance Number is NA549061A. My husband, D. Carr, left without providing a forwarding address. He is a convicted child offender, and I do not have his National Insurance Number. The Stanley Police Station should be able to provide his forwarding details as he must register his address yearly as part of being on the sex offenders register for 6 years. His employer is North East Truck and Van on Chainbridge Road in Blaydon, NE215TR. I plan on seeking a divorce once I have saved enough money.

I recently received a P800 stating that I owe £[redacted].40 in underpaid taxes for the 2[redacted] tax year. This marks the second consecutive year where HMRC claims I owe money due to tax miscalculations. Despite my online tax account showing that I have paid the correct amount for 2[redacted], this issue persists. After contacting Monmouthshire CC payroll, I learned that HMRC instructed them to change my tax code to CBR on April 6, [redacted]. While I understand my responsibility to ensure accurate tax payments, I was previously reassured that everything was corrected after the last payment discrepancy. As an employee of a local authority, it is perplexing how these errors persist. I recently spoke with an HMRC advisor who was meant to perform calculations but the call was unexpectedly disconnected.

Dear community members, I need assistance with a serious issue regarding the misuse of my information. Since July 8, [redacted], I have been residing in Germany and working there, which I can validate with documents. Surprisingly, it has come to my attention that someone has opened a SELF ASSESSMENT with the UTR number [redacted] using my personal details without my consent. I have discovered that my insurance number is associated with two unfamiliar addresses. I am concerned about identity theft and unauthorized actions taken with my information. I reside at Goerlinger-Zentrum 9, [redacted] Koeln, Germany, and can be contacted at +[redacted][redacted]. Your help in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. The Lithuanian government invests significantly in public relations to project the image of being a democratic state governed by the rule of law. However, the regime enforces strict censorship on social networks and the media, particularly via Facebook. Censors often block and intimidate profiles and comments that criticize the Lithuanian government. This censorship is sometimes conducted by individuals using fake profiles. Interestingly, Lithuanian Facebook permits radical comments threatening violence against those who oppose the regime. This behavior involves collaboration with the Lithuania Police, UN expert Dainius Puras, and the political party "Laisves Partija" led by A. Armonaite and R. Simasius, with support from individuals like Andrius Tapinas. Consequently, I am seeking assistance in contacting an appropriate individual in the US regarding the severe human rights violations tied to the actions of the Lithuanian Facebook administration.

Hello, my name is Cristina. I am a single mother and part-time worker. My monthly wage is £[redacted], and I receive £[redacted] in tax credits. I am renting a king-size room in London for £[redacted] per month, and I have a daughter. I am struggling to cover all my basic needs and constantly borrowing money from friends for food. After paying rent, travel expenses of about £[redacted] for me and my daughter, I am left with only £[redacted], which is not enough for food and clothes. I am considering seeking advice on how to improve my situation. Perhaps renting accommodation from the council, which is more affordable, or exploring other government assistance options could help. I feel like I am losing control of my life and would appreciate any guidance to make positive changes. Thank you.

Hello Team, I am facing an issue with my NI number. The NI number on my BRP card is SX***348A, which I provided to my employer for tax purposes. However, when I tried to check my details using this NI number on the HMRC system for self-assessment, it couldn't be found. I contacted HMRC customer care and was advised to fill out the CA5403 form, which I promptly submitted to them. Subsequently, HMRC issued me a new NI number (SX***296A) with the provided details. I have asked HMRC to confirm if they have transferred the data from my old NI number to the new one. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter as I need to apply for a UTR number for self-assessment. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Siva Kumar M. I recently received a cheque for Married Persons Allowance but have unfortunately misplaced it. Due to the closure of our bank and restrictions during lockdown, it has been challenging for me to visit the Post Office. My husband's health issues further complicate matters. I am embarrassed by this situation and wonder if the cheque can be canceled or reissued. Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated during these tough times.

I recently moved into a property last December and continue to receive mail for the previous tenants. Enforcement officers have visited demanding payment from the previous tenants. I have contacted the relevant authorities to explain that we purchased the property and do not have any information on the previous tenants' whereabouts. The previous owner acquired the property from Mr. Jason Field, and the individual you are looking for is Mr. J. M. Field with the tax reference number [redacted]. I am Miss Mandy Saxelby, the new property owner, and my contact email is [redacted] The address in question is Northfield House, Northfield Drive, Mansfield, Notts NG183DD. Kindly update your records and stop sending mail intended for the previous tenant.

I recently received a refund related to payment protection insurance that was associated with loans and credit cards. I received an email from a company called CHECK A TAX CLAIM, with the domain Omnisign.co.uk. They claim that tax was deducted incorrectly and offer to help with the refund process, requesting personal information such as a passport or driving license. I am unsure if this is a legitimate claim or a possible scam. Can anyone provide insight or guidance on this matter?

I have been in contact with you since October. My employer mistakenly paid me the wrong wages for that month, which affected my Universal Credit. I promptly returned the excess money, but as a result, I am now owed approximately £[redacted]. I have provided Universal Credit with all the necessary details and documentation, including the statement showing I repaid the money. I am frustrated that the process is taking so long when it seems like a simple fix. I rely on this money, and the delay has left me with only £[redacted] to support my two children for the entire month of November. This situation is causing me significant distress as I am already struggling with anxiety and depression. I urge you to expedite the resolution as it is impacting my ability to provide for my family. Thank you.

Hello there, Since [redacted], I have been filing paper tax returns, but now I need to switch to doing it online. I work as a carer in South Africa but have a UK address. Due to Covid, I haven't been able to return to work since March last year. I worked between April to December [redacted], so I need to complete a self-assessment return. The issue is I am having trouble registering online for the first time. Even though I received links from your office, I'm confused about where to start the process. Will I receive a code by post, or can it be sent to my South African mobile? I have a UTR number and just need to sign up online. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Felicity Burwood

Good afternoon. Today, I attempted to access my HMRC account, but encountered an issue. The login page now requires a 6-digit code to enter the account, which I do not have access to because my phone number has changed. When I attempt to input information like my P60, the website alerts me of incorrect details. Despite multiple attempts with the correct information, I continue to receive the same error message. Can you advise me on an alternative method to obtain the 6-digit code? Thank you in advance.

Good morning, I noticed a significant increase of £[redacted] in my annual tax bill despite a modest income rise of around £[redacted] for the upcoming year. I rely on my NHS pension, State pension, and my wife's tax allowance. The increase seems to be deducting almost a month and a half of my State pension. I'm puzzled by how my tax bill surged from £1,[redacted] to £2,[redacted] without a substantial income increase. Personal number [redacted] Best regards, W. Ellis

Regarding the TSS form for the application, we are unsure how to respond to the last question which asks if the business will be required to make full declarations. We will be sending agricultural spare parts with Commodity Code [redacted]00 and agricultural machinery with Commodity Code [redacted] directly to farmers in Northern Ireland who are VAT registered. It seems that there is no need for an import declaration when utilizing TSS. Would the appropriate response to this question then be "No"? Additionally, we have a query about the Customs Procedure Codes (CPC) on the TSS form. We dispatch Agricultural Spare Parts with Commodity Code [redacted] and Agricultural Machinery with Commodity Code [redacted] to end-users who are VAT registered. Are CPC codes [redacted] and [redacted] the correct ones to use? Lastly, in the process of applying for a deferment number valued under £10,[redacted], we need guidance on which form to use. We maintain individual accounts at Companies House and do not submit consolidated accounts. Could you please advise on the appropriate form for our situation?
