Good morning, I needed to amend my [redacted] returns and visited a nearby office for help. After completing the process, I discovered that I owe the state and federal, which was expected. I owed the state $[redacted].00 and submitted it with a copy of my amended return. Recently, I received a summary stating I would receive an $[redacted].00 refund from the state. However, when I contacted the state's division of revenue, they mentioned that the amended returns haven't been updated in their system. I then emailed the office and was informed about the refund. I am puzzled how $[redacted].00 turned into $[redacted].00. I can provide a copy of the state's correspondence if needed. Thank you. Vincent Smith

Hello, I am Stephen Fleming. I am writing regarding a claim I made a few weeks ago. I attempted to reach out for an update, but I shredded my card after canceling it to ensure no unauthorized access. I am set to graduate on Monday from Tallahassee Community College and had plans to transfer to the University of South Florida. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely now since my account was emptied, seemingly by an upset ex-girlfriend without my knowledge. I have been monitoring my balance and inquiring about updating my address to [redacted] Municipal Way, Tallahassee, FL, [redacted]. I have asked multiple times. Could you provide an update on the claim? I am relying on these funds to travel to Tampa and sustain myself until the financial aid disbursement on the 28th. Without it, I may have to forgo college this semester. Please inform me if the update is positive or negative. Thank you. Stephen Fleming (DOB: 11/19/[redacted]) / Email: [redacted]

I encountered issues with H&R Block twice now. This time, we had to pay an extra $5,[redacted] due to an error in our [redacted] return. Sadly, we were informed that without their Peace of Mind service, we couldn't get reimbursed. It feels wrong to have to buy insurance against their mistakes. The office manager, C. L., was unhelpful, while B. B. did attempt to apologize. Nonetheless, we have decided not to use H&R Block again and will advise others to do the same. R. B. was the one responsible for the error in our [redacted] return, even though she is labeled a "Master Tax Advisor." Disappointing experience overall.

My taxes were filed in April with an error in the social security number by HR Block, causing my e-file to be rejected. After mailing the correct forms in July, I received a letter stating my refund could not be processed due to a missing W-2. Despite HR Block faxing the information, the IRS informed me it was not received. Worried about my reduced refund, I returned to HR Block to have the documents re-faxed correctly. Shockingly, I received another person's tax return in the mail under my name, complicating the situation further. Uncertain about the whereabouts of my information, I hope for no identity theft issues. I am seeking a refund of my tax preparation fees and the reassurance of my data security. Despite a promised supervisor call that never came, I am left frustrated by the mishandling of personal information.

In [redacted], I filed my taxes with your service, and it appeared to have been successfully submitted as I made a payment that was deducted from my account. The IRS also has a record of this payment. When I attempted to file my [redacted] taxes with you, they were rejected, which led me to discover that my [redacted] taxes were rejected as well. I was not notified about the rejection by your service, yet I was able to make a payment. When I contacted the IRS, they mentioned that typically rejected taxes come with an error code, but my [redacted] taxes did not have one. I urgently need this issue resolved as it has been causing me a lot of frustration, and it is affecting my ability to attend school. This situation has left me feeling very dissatisfied.

I utilized H&R Block's St. Michael MN office for my tax filing last spring. However, my certificate of rent paid forms contained inaccuracies that needed correction by my former apartment complex. After rectifying the forms promptly, I was advised to deliver them to the St. Michael location addressed to the individual who assisted with my taxes. Despite leaving a voicemail and sending an email in early August for confirmation that the forms were filed ahead of the due date, I received no response. Upon contacting the MN Department of Revenue, I discovered that my forms for [redacted] and [redacted] were never filed, leading to potential issues with my taxes. I am disappointed with the lack of communication and concerned about the status of my tax filings, given that I followed all instructions from H&R Block diligently.

I successfully filed my [redacted] tax return using HR Block TPS. I downloaded a PDF copy of the return and printed the necessary pages. However, I am currently unable to access my Gmail account where the PDF is stored. Can HR Block TPS resend a complete PDF copy of my [redacted] tax return to my current email address? I used HR Block for my [redacted] and [redacted] taxes. In May [redacted], the IRS notified me of a $[redacted] penalty due to unreported income in [redacted]. The tax preparer at the Fort Mill office, Lester S., admitted fault. He assured me HR Block would cover the penalty but failed to resolve it. Despite promises to handle it and multiple follow-ups, I have not received the refund. I am seeking resolution promptly, considering next steps like small claims court and contacting the Better Business Bureau.

As a Canadian Citizen working in the US, I filed my [redacted] tax return with various sources of income such as employment income from the US, unemployment insurance payment from Canada, and investment income. I faced a challenge as there was no specific tax form for the Canadian unemployment insurance payment, so I had to report it as income from foreign sources. I paid taxes in both Canada and the US but did not initially claim the taxes paid in Canada due to lack of information at the time of filing. I have two key questions: how can I claim the taxes paid in Canada and how can I claim the tax credit for the employment insurance payment, considering taxes were also paid in Canada for that income? I would appreciate guidance on which forms to submit and what supporting documents are required. Thank you for your assistance. Vivek.

Since moving to South Carolina in July, I began a new job on 7.31. Unfortunately, there was a delay in viewing my pay stubs because my online account was not set up by HR. After finally accessing them, I noticed federal taxes were not being deducted. I reached out via email to HR but did not receive a response. After submitting another W-4 requesting adjustments to my taxes, including increasing my deductions and asking for 15% to be withheld, I was informed by HR that my exemptions were set at 5 instead of 0, which I don't recall doing. The HR representative mentioned that the system calculates withholding based on my W-4. I inquired about the potential consequences of the error and discovered that $[redacted] should have been withheld.

I reached out to the H&R Block office where I filed my taxes about an issue I have with my tax return. The State of New Jersey sent me documentation stating that I owe them additional funds due to an error in my taxes. I purchased the "Peace of Mind" service during my tax preparation to avoid such problems and ensure a smooth process. Upon visiting the Cherry Hill, NJ location where I filed my taxes, I discovered they had closed early, despite their posted hours extending until 7:00 p.m. It is frustrating not to receive the assistance I anticipated during a challenging situation. I seek clarification on the tax discrepancy and wish to address it promptly with a tax professional.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to address an issue I have encountered while attempting to file my taxes. I would like to bring to your attention that I have not received the appropriate service from your company. It has been quite some time since my taxes were redone by Ladonya Batiste Winn, yet I have not received any updates or information regarding my case, aside from the financial aspect.
I worked with Tami Lee Patterson at the address [redacted] Trancas St. Napa, CA. [redacted] and have paid $[redacted] for a service that has not been fulfilled. Despite being a J1 visa holder, I expected a smoother process given your expertise in handling such cases. As it is almost the end of September, I am still left without any clarity on the status of my taxes.
I kindly request that you assist me in resolving this matter promptly or provide a refund for the services that were not completed to my satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Naz Hatay

I employed H&R Deluxe software.
My spouse got her social security card post-filing. She was studying in [redacted]. H&R Block software allowed us to claim the AOTC education tax credit even though she did not possess her social security number then.
The software should have included a warning indicating that the AOTC could not be acquired without a social security number and automatically switched to the Lifetime Learning credit.
I am presently facing issues with the IRS trying to receive the credit we deserve due to inaccuracies in your software regarding tax regulations.
I have been a loyal H&R Block user for a while and have been satisfied, but this $2,[redacted] mistake is really straining our finances. Can you please assist in resolving this matter?
Thank you,
Matt

Hello,
I utilized your tax software for my [redacted] taxes which credited me for my health care premiums paid in the months leading up to switching to Medicare. Despite the software indicating a $[redacted] refund due to my disability, the IRS has not issued it. No correspondence regarding this matter has been received after months of inquiries. The refund has been redirected to the IRS Tax Advocate in Cleveland who claims I am ineligible based on Form [redacted] criteria which I was unfamiliar with due to relying on your program for accuracy. It is imperative that H&R Block clarifies my entitlement to this credit with the IRS, failing which a refund is expected for the software and compensation for the distress caused. Your urgent attention to this matter is appreciated.
Best regards,
Denver F.

Hello,
I bought the [redacted] tax software to file my tax return this year due to an extension. It cost $38.10. I intended to use it for my state taxes too, but my card wouldn't process the purchase. Later, I noticed two pending charges of $38.10 each on my account.
I only wanted one copy of the tax software. It seems I was mistakenly charged twice for the federal tax return. I'm seeking a refund for one of the $38.10 charges. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this.
Best regards,
Emily

Hello! I recently received a notice from my H&R tax consultant, John Broad, in Phoenix, AZ, to complete my overseas tax return with an extended deadline. He directed me to register an account online to view and sign my [redacted] return, due today. After successfully setting up my account (UN) 387winked, I encountered an issue with my two-word last name causing the system to block me out. Even after using the exact uppercase identification from my return, JANE VAN HONK, I still couldn't access my account on HRBlock.com. I have reached out to John Broad via email regarding this issue. I seek assistance from IT to regain access to my account promptly as I need to submit my forms today. I am willing to provide a screenshot for further clarification. Thank you for your help. Hello, I recently completed my taxes at an H&R Block location in Springfield, IL. I have been a loyal customer of H&R Block and always had positive experiences, but this time was different. I usually pay $50 for their services, but today I was charged $[redacted] for submitting just 1 W-2 and a mortgage document, which took only 20 minutes. The tax preparer mentioned this was due to them not being a franchise office. I am concerned about being overcharged, as this unexpected expense is a burden now that I'm a new parent to a 3-month-old. I hope to get clarification on this bill as soon as possible. Thank you.

Regarding the eBay purchase of H&R Block Premium and Business Tax Software:
I encountered an issue with the software not supporting S Corp filing, specifically Form [redacted]-S, causing me unnecessary stress and leading to a last-minute purchase of TurboTax. I am requesting a refund as the program did not meet my needs.
As a long-time seller of over 50,[redacted] programs like TurboTax and H&R Block, we have a strong track record. The H&R Block Business version does support S Corp Form 1120S as stated in the product description. It is crucial to select S Corp during installation to access the necessary forms. We stand by the software's capabilities for various tax filings.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Due to an error in preparing my taxes by H&R Block for my pension lump sum payout, I am facing the devastating prospect of losing my home and car. I rely on my car for essential doctor appointments due to my permanent disability. I will have to sell both my home and car to rectify this tax mistake, which also means parting with my beloved pets. Despite visiting the H&R Block branch that handled my taxes, they refused to acknowledge their error and somewhat blamed me instead. As Christmas approaches, I ask that you keep me in your thoughts as I face this difficult situation. This holiday season could be my last with my cherished pets in my modest home. - K.W. Morris

Last year and the year before, my mother-in-law claimed my wife's two children without permission using H&R Block. She was informed by an employee that she needed to pay for a form to report it, or both of them would be red-flagged until my wife proves she had the kids all year. While proving this would be simple, my mother-in-law already received her return, causing potential delays for my wife's return, which could be financially stressful. Now, we discovered that she is attempting to make an appointment and secure a tax loan using my wife's children again. My wife wants to intervene but is unsure how to confront her mom, who consistently exploits her.
