I am currently unable to access my Gmail account as I have forgotten my password and no longer have access to my previous phone number. After attempting to use my last known password, it was deemed invalid. Despite trying the various password recovery methods, the verification code is being sent to my obsolete phone number. This has led to multiple failed login attempts across different devices, potentially resulting in my account being locked. I am willing to provide any necessary security information to regain access to my accounts. You can reach out to me, Toni Basham, at [redacted]. The affected email addresses are [redacted] and [redacted]

Someone attempted to access my Gmail account from California on 3/26/22. I received a message from Google instructing me to change my password. However, when I tried to log in with what I thought was my password for [redacted], I received a "wrong password, try again" message. Even trying my most recent password and my Google Account password led to no success. Google flagged it as suspicious activity, prompting me to provide a backup email for a password reset in 48 hours. Following all the steps, I still couldn't access my account today. Despite using verification codes sent to my phone, I ended up going in circles and am now locked out for an additional 48 hours. I've followed all instructions but need help getting back into my account. I'm a 72-year-old woman fairly skilled with computers but this situation is challenging. I would greatly appreciate speaking with a live agent to resolve this matter.

Hello, Approximately 4 to 5 months ago, I had trouble accessing my Rockstar Games account to play GTA 5. When I tried to log in, it stated that my password had been changed. Assuming I forgot the password, I proceeded to reset it. However, when I attempted to log into my Gmail account "[redacted]," I was prompted to re-enter my password for verification. Surprisingly, it indicated that my password was altered 3 to 4 weeks prior, which seemed unlikely as I had been occupied with school and had not been active online. Subsequently, I attempted to reset my password for both Epic Games and Origin accounts but encountered the same issue. Eventually, I managed to access my Epic Games account but was prompted to enter a code sent to my phone due to inactivity. I then discovered that the 2-step verification for Epic Games had been switched from an app to a phone number without my knowledge. Upon returning to Gmail to recover my account, I realized that the hacker had changed my password and my phone number, which was now linked to Spain. I reside in Austria, originally from Bosnia. Seeking help, I recently learned about this forum and am reaching out for assistance. Besides my gaming accounts, my PayPal is also associated with the compromised Gmail account. As a devoted gamer, I value the content on my accounts, even though it may not exceed $[redacted]. Your prompt help to resolve this matter is highly appreciated. Thank you sincerely

I have recently discovered that over the past three years, an individual has unlawfully accessed and stolen my private data, including explicit photos of myself. Before taking legal action by subpoenaing my network, I want to bring this matter to your attention. Through a shared email account, [redacted], we occasionally exchanged GPS information. After consulting with the district attorney and a judge, it has been acknowledged that this unauthorized access occurred. I request a comprehensive record of all devices linked to my Gmail account during this period for legal purposes related to child exploitation. Please provide this information to [redacted] My name is Kevin Roach, and I am the rightful owner of the account using a nickname. These documents are crucial as evidence against a dangerous individual. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly valued. Thank you, Kevin R.

My previous phone's screen is shattered, rendering it unusable. Despite being unable to repair it, I purchased a new phone under my husband's plan with a different number. My entire life, from games and bank accounts to work-related information and photos dating back to [redacted], is linked to my Google account. It's distressing to lose access because of the two-step verification, which requires a phone number I no longer possess and a screen I can't access. I have memories saved in that account, including precious baby photos of my kids, Andrew and Aliyah. I believe I may have had it linked to another email, but unfortunately, Google doesn't offer that option. I'm willing to provide any proof necessary, like pictures or a driver's license, to regain access to my account.

I am having difficulty recovering my second email account to verify my primary email account. My primary account is [redacted] and my secondary account is [redacted] After my devices were affected by a virus, I was signed out of both accounts. Despite removing the virus, I cannot verify my secondary email. When I attempt to edit the secondary email, I am prompted to verify myself through various steps. Unfortunately, I am unable to access the verification code sent to my secondary email, and when I try account recovery for [redacted], I encounter the same issue. I do not have a linked phone number for recovery. My main concern is changing my secondary email to gain access to my primary account. I am willing to provide the necessary email addresses if needed for assistance. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I left my phone at home and it got stolen. The thief is using it to access my social media accounts and attempt to get loans using my profile information in the Philippines. I can't log into my Gmail account now because the password has been changed. I tried to recover it through Google's account recovery, but even though I know my previous passwords, I can't get in. I don't have access to my phone number or iPhone, as I forgot to bring it when I moved to Canada with my family. I have my passport and other government IDs to prove my identity. I need Google to send an ID verification form to my new email address, [redacted], so I can regain access to my Gmail account ([redacted]).

I would like to address some concerns regarding my Gmail account and the inability to change my recovery email. Hello, I am Mick and I have been using [redacted] for many years. I appreciate the free service provided by Google and support their efforts to maintain an open and inclusive internet environment. The issue I am facing is related to my recovery email, which was set to [redacted] years ago. I no longer have access to this account, making it impossible for me to update my recovery email for my [redacted] account. With Google increasing security measures, I am unable to modify this setting and do not have a mobile phone to use as an alternative. I have tried entering a new recovery email, but it always reverts back to [redacted] I am concerned that if Google requires verification through that email, I will be unable to comply due to not knowing the password for [redacted] I am willing to provide any necessary information to prove my identity. I hope Google can consider my situation and provide a solution. Thank you for your attention to my issue. Mick, the exclusive user of [redacted]

In October [redacted], my Google accounts, phone, and computer were hacked by my abusive ex-boyfriend. I only discovered this in May [redacted]. I had to change all my passwords, phone numbers, and financial accounts due to the situation. The urgency forced me to change my phone number swiftly, leading me to overlook the two-factor authentication process for accessing my accounts. With the frequent changes, remembering all my passwords became challenging. My ex utilized multiple phone numbers and fake accounts to stalk me, making it difficult to regain control of my accounts despite continuous efforts. Google's recovery pages require a verification code sent to an inaccessible phone number, hindering my attempts to prove my identity and recover the hacked accounts. These accounts, used for nearly a decade without prior security issues, contained crucial financial and personal information. Despite my efforts, I still cannot access some financial accounts not linked to Google. Communication attempts through the provided verification number remain unanswered. I am seeking assistance in the recovery process for at least one of the compromised accounts.

I am having trouble using Gmail on Mac 10.10.5 through Mail. Whenever I try to send an email, I get error messages saying an application-specific password is required, and my sender address is being rejected. I have tried various solutions like creating new passwords and accounts, but the issue persists. The Mail Connection Doctor shows green for SMTP, but I am still unable to connect to Google IMAP. I have provided some error logs for reference. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

While cleaning out my emails, I organized them into folders but encountered issues. Some emails I moved to folders ended up in the trash instead. When I opened the folders, only some of the emails were there, and some vanished while I was viewing them. My inbox also had missing emails, including ones I hadn't moved or deleted. Searching didn't help, and all mail had gaps in dates. I decided to initiate email recovery through Google. After waiting 12 hours and checking again, my folders now have the correct emails, and the missing ones are back in my inbox and all mail. However, I now have years of missing emails dating back to 7/4/12. I checked the trash, but it only had the recent emails I moved. Where are these missing emails, and how can I recover them?

I have multiple emails that I use for different purposes. Unfortunately, the phone where all my emails were stored was stolen, leading to a remote wipe and factory reset of my current phone. This means I have lost access to the following accounts: - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] - [redacted] There might be a couple more accounts I'm missing. These accounts hold a lot of sentimental value and important data for me. I urgently need assistance to regain access. I have created a new email address listed below, or I can be reached by phone at 1-[redacted]. Your prompt attention to this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My account has been hacked, and they even accessed my bank information. I am unable to receive text messages since they are going to a different number, [redacted], linked to the hacker. I tried a factory reset, but I still can't access my phone. They are using my internet connection and making calls from my number. I need to speak with a Google representative urgently. Every time I search for a contact number online, there are fake ones posted by hackers. It's causing me a lot of trouble. I have bogus pages created in my name and fake advertisements going out. I can't risk using my email as it's also compromised. Please call me immediately; I don't want to involve the police. Thank you. - S.

RE: Difficulty Updating Recovery Email on Google Account I appreciate the advice given, but I wanted to clarify my situation with a specific issue related to updating my recovery email on Google. Despite following the standard steps to edit my recovery email, I encountered a roadblock unique to Google's interface. Upon accessing my Google settings and navigating to the recovery email section, I found that there was no option to change or edit the current unverified recovery email. Complicating matters, I no longer have access to the recovery email address (which is also a Gmail account) and there is an indicator showing it is unverified. It seems that Google's security protocol may prevent me from modifying an unverified recovery email unless it has been previously confirmed. Therefore, I require assistance from a Google support representative to resolve this issue.

Regarding your issue with Gmail, I would like to request the following actions to be taken: 1. I kindly ask for Google to internally delete my current unverified recovery email. Once this is done, please send me an email confirming the deletion of my previous unverified recovery email. Instruct me on how to access my Google settings and input my new recovery email address promptly. 2. Alternatively, I would appreciate Google enabling either an 'edit recovery email button', a 'change recovery email button', or an 'OK and apply' button in my settings page. This will allow me to manually update my old unverified recovery email with my new verified recovery email as per the security guidelines. I strive to adhere to Google's security protocols, but without the necessary tools like editing, changing, or replacing buttons, I am unable to configure my recovery email accurately.

Hello, I encountered an issue with my Google account. I had this account linked to my Galaxy device as the first account. After performing a factory reset on my device, I could not log back in as the password was deemed wrong. Despite attempting to recover the account using my registered phone number, I faced an issue during the verification process. When prompted to send a verification code to my mobile number and then to my email, confusion arose as both matched. It appears that someone may have accessed my account on a virtual Android device, prompting further security measures like setting up a verification pattern, which was not successful on my device. I seek a solution as I have ownership of the device, phone number, and make Visa purchases from this account. Kindly assist. Thank you. My account: [redacted]

I attempted to access my former Gmail account and encountered an issue during the two-step verification process as I could only see one device for recovery. Additionally, I am unable to make purchases on the Google Play Store as my bank card is linked to the same old Gmail account. Repeated attempts to regain access have proved unsuccessful. I urgently need assistance as this account contains personal information, bank records, contacts, and transaction history. Please reach out to me via the recovery email associated with that account at [redacted] The Gmail address I am trying to recover is [redacted] Thank you.

Hello, I have two-step authentication set up on my account with the email address [redacted] While I know the password, I am not receiving notifications on my phone or tablet to approve the login. I am unable to receive the verification code via text as my phone number on the account is outdated, and recovering the account sends the code to the same email I cannot access. Signing out and back in on my phone seems to have complicated things, as the codes generated are not being prompted during the recovery process. I typically use the same computer and Android phone for access. This email is crucial to me, and I am unsure of how to regain access to it.

I need assistance with the excessive spam emails I am receiving daily from a single website, each under different "email names." Despite my efforts to block, report, and unsubscribe, the emails persist. When attempting to unsubscribe, I realized all emails originate from one source without an unsubscribe option. Some examples of these emails include a 3 Bureau-Credit-Scores email, a FedEx email, a T-Mobile email, a Medicare email, a Car Insurance email, a WalMart email, a Cash App email, and a Grammarly Premium email. I hope this information is sufficient to identify and stop this scam. Thank you for your support.

Hello, I have been using a hotmail.co.uk account for a long time, which also served as my Google account. Today, when I tried to log in to gmail, I was prompted to create a new associated gmail.com account. Since then, I am unable to access Google Chrome or any Google platforms with my hotmail.co.uk account. It automatically logs me in with the newly created gmail.com account, which I don't want. Moreover, when I access Google Calendar with my hotmail.co.uk account, it doesn't show new invites and displays my email as the new gmail.com one on existing invites. This is concerning as I've used Google Calendar with my hotmail.co.uk account for years. If I delete the new gmail.com account, will it also delete all data associated with my hotmail.co.uk account and everything I've done on Google platforms? Is there a way to unlink these accounts and revert to how it was before? Thank you, J.
