I am inquiring about the compatibility of the Gigabyte TitanRidge 2.0 Thunderbolt 3 PCIe card with my MSI Z490-A-PRO motherboard. The motherboard has Thunderbolt 3 support and the necessary TBT and TBM3 headers to connect to the card. Additionally, the motherboard has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Due to the unavailability of the MSI Thunderbolt 3 addon card, I am considering alternative options from other manufacturers like Gigabyte. Thunderbolt is an Intel specification and not specific to MSI or Gigabyte, so I believe as long as the motherboard supports Thunderbolt and follows the specification, a Thunderbolt card should work with any compatible motherboard.

I am inquiring about the compatibility of my z790 Gaming X motherboard with a 40 series GPU and an NVMe expansion card. The motherboard's website indicates that the 16x slots are running at 4x speed. I am looking for information on whether it is possible to change the slot speed back to 16x through the BIOS or other software. Any guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
