I am seeking assistance for my cousin, who is currently experiencing vision loss and is unable to make calls. He did not receive his Medicaid and food assistance benefits this month, although he is eligible from December through January. I am in Royal Palm Beach, while he resides in Orlando. I am trying to determine if he needs to be recertified for his EBT benefits. It has been challenging to reach out to any social workers for support. I have his social security number, but lack other access information through the DCF. His name is Whitworth White, born on 01/14/[redacted], and his home number is [redacted]. I go by Heather Besay, and you can reach me at [redacted]. Any assistance provided for my cousin's recertification for Medicaid and EBT would be greatly appreciated as he cannot help himself and is alone and unable to care for himself. Thank you in advance.

Today is January 25, [redacted], and I have been trying to complete my interview since November 13. Despite reapplying on December 18 due to my first application being denied for not completing the interview, I have been facing over two months of unsuccessful attempts to reach them by phone. Hours of waiting have resulted in unanswered calls. It appears that they may only pick up the phone at closing time and let it ring continuously. I even sent a fax highlighting this issue, but there has been no response from them whatsoever. Feeling frustrated by the lack of customer service, I have resorted to seeking help from the local news station to address the Department of Children and Families' poor communication.
