I am DarrellvA. Lewis, who previously worked as an Assistant Store Manager at the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] Isleta Blvd, Albuquerque, New Mexico [redacted] for about 9-10 months in [redacted]. I have recently applied to both Family Dollar and Dollar Tree locations in Albuquerque, only to discover that I am considered non-rehirable. I would like to know when this decision was made and if it is a permanent ban. Is there a possibility to have this status lifted in the future?

I accidentally dropped a large jar of pickles on my right foot, leading me to the emergency room, where it was determined not broken. The doctor advised rest and elevation. I provided a doctor's excuse to my son to give to my manager, Yvette, at store number [redacted]. Yvette refused the excuse, stating Family Dollar doesn't accept them. Lacking sympathy, she insisted I come in. After a discussion where I mentioned reconsidering my job, she was indifferent. Now I seek to speak with the district manager, Reggie Coleman, for whom I lack contact information. Unable to work due to my foot injury, I wish to transfer to the Brandon, MS or Pearl, MS store. I had a disappointing experience at the Phoenix store on 19th Ave with the assistant manager, Rosa. Despite being a loyal customer for two years, I was met with rudeness when addressing an overcharged item with a coupon. Rosa's dismissive attitude and unhelpful response left me feeling disrespected. When inquiring about the manager's name, I was met with further unprofessional behavior. Rosa's lack of attention to my concern and focus on her phone was unacceptable. I hope the store can address this issue promptly and ensure better customer service going forward.

I visited Family Dollar on 7/3/[redacted] to purchase pool items like balls and water guns. I noticed a sticker promoting a buy 1, get 1 half off deal. However, when I reached the counter, the manager informed me that the offer had expired on the 1st. As I browsed the store, I observed it was unkempt with several old tags still displayed. Witnessing an argument between the manager and an employee in front of customers added to the unprofessional atmosphere. Additionally, employees smoking outside while on duty was concerning. Due to the lack of products in stock and the behavior of the staff, I have decided not to return to this store. The loud, explicit music also contributed to the unpleasant experience. I kindly request for management to address these issues promptly.

I had an unsettling experience at the Family Dollar store #[redacted] located at [redacted] North Ave, Atlanta, GA [redacted] on July 7 around 9:15 a.m. Upon entering, I noticed a sign stating "No Cash, No Cards" being put up by a young lady. When inquiring about a specific brand of cookies, I was directed to search the shelves. As I was looking, I encountered an older woman who initially allowed me to continue but later asked me to leave, claiming the store was closed. She identified herself as the manager, Ms. Trail. Despite initially assisting me, her abrupt change in attitude was unexpected and unprofessional. I intend to share my experience on social media but would appreciate the opportunity to address this behavior with someone above Ms. Trail.

On Saturday, July 8, [redacted], around 11:30 am, I visited the Family Dollar store on Gettysburg Ave in Dayton, Ohio. Within minutes of being in the store, I noticed a man with dreadlocks not wearing the store uniform following me. He approached me and accused me of stealing, which was both shocking and upsetting. Despite showing him the content of my purse and money, he did not apologize. The cashier later identified him as the store manager, named Tavaris, and confirmed his inappropriate behavior. I believe I was targeted because of my race. I demand a formal apology and appropriate action taken against the manager for his misconduct. It is unacceptable to profile customers based on race and make false accusations without repercussions. Your support in addressing this issue and ensuring I receive the apology I deserve is greatly appreciated.

On Saturday, July 8, [redacted], at around 11:30 a.m., I visited the Family Dollar store on Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Within five minutes of being there, I noticed a short man with dreadlocks following me. Not wearing a store uniform or a name tag, I felt uncomfortable. While browsing the pet aisle, the man approached me accusing me of stealing, which made me upset. I showed him the contents of my purse and explained I had money, but he continued to smirk. I later found out he was the store manager named Tavaris. Despite proving my innocence, I did not receive an apology. I believe I was targeted because I am white in a predominantly black neighborhood. I am requesting a formal apology for the false accusation and appropriate action to be taken against the manager. Discrimination based on race is unacceptable, and accountability is necessary in this situation.

I would like to address the issue of the heat in our local store. Many community members, myself included, have opted to travel 25 miles to a store with air conditioning, like Dollar General. The lack of air conditioning in your store has made the shopping experience uncomfortable, especially for someone like me, a 71-year-old who relies on the savings your store offers. It would be greatly appreciated if this matter could be resolved for the benefit of the community.

Around July 1st or 2nd, I purchased a Green Dot prepaid Visa card at the Family Dollar store on Henderson St in Cleburne, TX. I loaded $[redacted] onto the card, activated it, and then tried to make a car payment, only to have the card declined. When I went back inside to address the issue, I was informed of a no-refund policy. However, since there was no money on my card, I disagreed with their response. I've been unable to check my balance or register the card in my name for online access to track my transactions. This situation has hindered my ability to work and caused financial loss. I am seeking an immediate refund of my money.

Hello, I am Charles. I wanted to share an incident where the store manager at the Family Dollar located at [redacted] Canal St, New Orleans, LA [redacted] closed the store 10 minutes before the official closing time. I work as a driver at RTA and was walking over during my break when I found the door being locked prematurely. When I tried to point out it was not yet 10:00 pm, the manager insisted, "We're closed." Feeling disappointed, I returned to work. It's clear that the store could benefit from better leadership. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I am Tiffany Bradley, the assistant manager at [redacted] in Monroeville, AL [redacted]. My manager is Charnita, and our head boss is Mrs. Reba. I have been working here since February and have been closing the store every night. Recently, my manager asked me to work on my day off to help another manager close the store. Then, unexpectedly, she called and texted me on my day off attempting to fire me. We discussed the situation, and she reduced my hours from 40 to just one day a week. Many employees are facing similar issues with her management style, and it has become challenging to reach our higher boss, Mrs. Reba. Charnita's actions are causing a high turnover rate as she continuously hires and fires employees. Your help and guidance on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tiffany B.

Hello, my name is Deondra McMillian. I previously worked at a Family Dollar store located at [redacted] 1st Ave North in Birmingham, Alabama, last year in [redacted]. During my time there, the manager, Aaron, behaved in a disrespectful manner towards me. He threw things across the register, called me names, and even snatched my phone despite me focusing on serving customers. Feeling embarrassed and hurt by his actions, I decided to resign as this was the second incident of his rude behavior towards me. Despite Aaron previously acknowledging me as their best employee, I was unjustly labeled as ineligible for rehire by him after leaving. This has now affected a job opportunity at another Family Dollar location in Birmingham. I simply asked politely for my phone back before leaving his establishment, yet he marked me as a no-rehire without merit. I kindly request a resolution to this matter promptly. Thank you.

I have been residing in Plano Housing for two years, located across from a Family Dollar store. Unfortunately, the store's current state is disappointing and concerning. Many residents, including myself, find it challenging to shop there due to the cluttered aisles, empty shelves, and poor product availability. Given its prime location and the fact that a large portion of the housing community relies on it for shopping, the current condition is a significant issue. Adjacent to the Family Dollar is a thriving thrift store, which highlights a stark contrast in shopping experience. The community hopes for improvements to make the Family Dollar a more functional and convenient shopping option for all residents.

I am disappointed with the poor upkeep of the property at the Family Dollar store located in Tulsa, OK, at [redacted] North Pine. The neglected exterior area has been an issue for years. I was present at meetings where the store's construction was discussed, and we believed this kind of negligence would not happen. As a homeowner with a property directly behind the store, I have been trying unsuccessfully to contact a district manager or anyone who can address this eyesore in the neighborhood. I would greatly appreciate a follow-up call to discuss resolving this matter. You can contact me via email at [redacted] or by text with a solution. As a homeowner, it is essential to maintain the surroundings to uphold property values. I hope for your prompt assistance in this matter. Thank you. - SW

I wanted to bring to your attention an incident at the Family Dollar on St. Mary Street in Thibodaux. While two workers were arrested for shoplifting, the store manager, Ada, was not arrested. It's concerning that Ada apparently participated in the theft and is still in contact with one of the individuals involved. When alerted about the stealing, Ada drove to Thibodaux, returned the stolen items, and advised the police not to arrest the individual. This behavior raises questions about Ada's involvement, and it seems like she should also face consequences for her actions.

The Family Dollar store in Crystal Beach, Texas [redacted] has been without air conditioning for a while, causing discomfort for customers and employees due to the excessive heat. The temperature inside the building is currently at 92 degrees, making it unbearable to work. Despite previous attempts to address the issue, the AC unit has not been fixed, and the situation is only worsening. The manager has been made aware of these conditions but no permanent solution has been implemented. Immediate assistance is needed to resolve this problem before the store loses its staff due to the working conditions.

An assistant manager at Family Dollar has been taking items from the store and placing them in the dumpster for her friends to collect for free. This happened at the Family Dollar stores on Michigan Street near Dubail and on Western near Citi Trends. The store managers should review the surveillance footage to determine when this assistant manager, named Billie, was on duty and disposing of store products in the dumpster.

I was recently denied access to the restroom at Family Dollar in Rio Vista, CA. This happened on July 21, [redacted], at 11:30 a.m. I tried to explain that California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill [redacted] into law on September 30, [redacted], which allows access to restrooms. I also mentioned that denying access goes against the disabilities act, especially for individuals with health conditions like IBS and Chron's Disease. Unfortunately, the assistant manager was rude and suggested contacting corporate. Despite COVID restrictions being lifted, I was still denied. Please remind your store staff about the importance of following these laws and ensuring everyone has access to necessary facilities.

I was involved in an accident at your Manila store last Thursday. I am disappointed with the lack of attention from store employees, including the regional manager. Despite showing them pictures of bruises from shelves falling on me, there was no response. Additionally, my Family Doctor did not address my concerns about the accident. I would appreciate speaking with a CEO or a regional/district/CEO manager. I believe my email and experience necessitate a personal meeting or a phone call.

Tonight, I visited the Family Dollar in Breckenridge Hills, Missouri intending to shop until 10 PM. Unfortunately, the store unexpectedly closed its doors at 8:30 PM. When I mentioned that the sign displayed a closing time of 10 PM, the manager rudely told me to leave and disregarded the posted hours. He even threatened me when I mentioned contacting corporate, behaving unprofessionally. This isn't the first time this manager has acted aggressively towards me, and I'm truly disappointed by the lack of customer service and professionalism displayed at this store.
