This is the second time I have experienced this situation. Today, I went to the store on West Main St. in Newark, Ohio, and once again, I was denied service. I have a service dog, and despite the Ohio revised code that prohibits asking for a vest or paperwork for a service animal, we were told to leave and not come back. The manager, a woman with a negative attitude towards dogs, caused a scene even though we were peacefully shopping for household items without causing any disturbance. This incident has left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed. I intend to address this issue legally and publicly as her behavior towards paying customers with service animals is unacceptable. It's important for the store to consider the impact of having such a negative representation. My plan is to bring awareness to this mistreatment and seek justice for myself and my animal.

I am a frequent shopper at Family Dollar store #[redacted] in Yuma, AZ, and I truly enjoy shopping there. However, I have noticed that the air conditioner hasn't been working for the past two weeks, which is quite uncomfortable given the hot weather outside. The store's current condition due to the lack of cooling is concerning, not just for the employees but also for the products. I hope the company can address this issue promptly as the increasing temperatures will make shopping there unbearable. The store improvements are great, but without a functioning air conditioner, it's not a pleasant experience. I believe that providing a comfortable environment for both employees and customers should be a priority. Thank you.

I recently interviewed for a sales associate position at Family Dollar. The interview went well, and I was offered the job. However, the manager called to inform me that I was on the non-rehireable list from 8 years ago, and the general manager who placed me on the list is no longer with the company. After reaching out to the previous general manager, she offered to assist me in resolving the issue so I could be hired. The job opportunity is still available if I address this matter. I am a parent of four and urgently need this job. I seek guidance on how to proceed in securing a position at Family Dollar. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had a distressing experience at Family Dollar where I felt mistreated by an employee, leading me to cut short my shopping trip. I would like to request the store's camera footage to address the accusation made against me and my boyfriend, who like me, is African American. The incident left me feeling targeted, as the employee closely monitored us while shopping. Despite complying with the store's request not to spray perfume, I was still accused of theft while continuing my shopping. It's important to note that both my boyfriend and I have well-paying jobs and have no history of stealing. This false accusation has left us feeling unfairly targeted.

I purchased an AT&T prepaid phone on May 26, [redacted], and returned it three days later with the original receipt, as I had paid cash for it. The store associate informed me that she couldn't process the return without contacting customer service. Despite this, AT&T's online policy clearly states that such returns are allowed. I never used the SIM card provided with the phone, nor did I use any minutes or purchase additional minutes. I inserted my original AT&T SIM card from my iPhone into the phone, used it for three days, then removed it and reinserted the original SIM card. There should be no issue with returning the phone, especially when the online policy specifically permits it.

Hello, I encountered an issue at the register where the cashier asked me to buy something additional to get my card to work after the computer was down. As a result, my purchase amount increased from $13.74 to $15.11 without my consent. When I raised this with the cashier, she directed me to contact the corporate office as she couldn't assist further. How should I proceed to secure a refund for the unauthorized charge on my card?

I purchased two drain cleaner products. The label states that if the product does not work, I can return the unused portion with the receipt for a refund. However, the store refused to give me a refund. I have faced issues at this store before, and I am frustrated with their attitude. The manager's behavior has been unpleasant, to put it bluntly. I am exhausted by the poor treatment I receive at this store. I simply want my money back as outlined on the product label, as the product did not work as expected.

I arrived at the neighborhood Family Dollar store with only 5 minutes before their 10 pm closing time. Surprisingly, the doors were already locked, and the employees were in the process of counting the drawers. The manager informed me that they close at 5 minutes to 10, which I know is not their usual closing time. Despite being a long-time customer of this neighborhood store, the interaction with the manager left me dissatisfied. Attempting to address the situation, I questioned her actions and politely asked for her name, but she bluntly instructed me to return the next day without providing her name. The store seems to have a high turnover of staff, leading me to believe there might be training issues. In my opinion, her behavior was unacceptable as she not only showed rudeness but also resorted to using inappropriate language, referring to me disrespectfully in front of her colleagues. Additionally, the store's proximity and layout allowed me to overhear her conversation despite the distance.

I had an unfortunate experience at a local store today. I wanted to return a curtain rod that didn't fit, but the cashier wouldn't allow me to measure for a replacement inside. Despite this, I continued shopping and spent around $52 on items. At checkout, when asked why I was returning the rod, I explained my situation. The cashier was rude and even threw my items off the counter when I provided my phone number three times. I had my receipt, but she didn't seem to care. After a brief exchange, she pushed my rod and receipt towards me aggressively. I collected my things and left the store after expressing my frustration. I'm disappointed by the treatment I received from the cashier, especially at my age of 75. Other customers witnessed the incident, and one even left with me. This occurred at the Family Dollar on Dix and Champaign in Lincoln Park, Michigan around 10:00 AM today.

The Family Dollar store at [redacted] Center Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA [redacted], is consistently closed with signs on the door daily, making it inaccessible for the community, especially the elderly residents. The lack of stocking since February is concerning. There have been issues with the staff's work ethic, and an incident of being locked in the store occurred, prompting the involvement of the police. The situation is unacceptable, and it is suggested that changes need to be made, potentially including staff replacements or store closure. The incident has been documented, indicating a serious problem that needs to be addressed promptly.

I recently started working as an Assistant Store Manager at Family Dollar/Dollar Tree on January 1, [redacted]. Initially, I was a cashier earning $12.00 per hour. Soon after, I was promoted to ASM, and my pay increased to $13.50 per hour. However, I discovered that other ASMs are making $15.50 an hour, even though I have trained one of them. I was under the impression that all ASMs received the same pay. I have raised this concern with both my manager and the District Manager, but so far, it hasn't progressed beyond discussions.

I began working at Family Dollar/Dollar Tree on January 1, [redacted], initially as a cashier earning $12.00 an hour. Shortly after, my manager Angelina Counterman promoted me to ASM, and my pay increased to $13.50 an hour. Despite bringing up the pay difference to my manager and the DM, Mike Shultz, no action has been taken. I started working at store #[redacted] temporarily, managed by Wendy, until our store opened. I have noticed that the other two ASM's are earning $15.50 an hour, even though I trained one of them. I had assumed all ASM's were paid equally. After nearly 7 months of discussions, there has been no resolution.

I started working for Family Dollar/ Dollar Tree on January 1, [redacted], at store #[redacted] with Wendy P. as a cashier earning $12.00 per hour. After a few days, my manager, Angelina C. at Store #[redacted], promoted me to an ASM position with a wage of $13.50 per hour. Despite being promised a raise upon becoming an ASM, I haven't received it yet. I've spoken to both Angelina C. and the DM, Mike S., about my concerns, but there hasn't been any progress. It's frustrating to know my colleagues, who are also ASMs, are making $15.50 an hour, especially since I have trained one of them. I believe this wage discrepancy is unfair and discriminatory.

During my purchase of clearance items, the cashier made an error, prompting another associate to assist. Unfortunately, the second associate was rude and also struggled with the transaction. A manager was called over but was equally disrespectful. After a 15-minute wait, I was informed that the items I wanted were not on sale. Despite pointing out several similar items in the clearance section, the manager insisted I couldn't buy them at the advertised sale price.

I recently visited store #[redacted] and encountered an issue with an employee named Claretha regarding a return. Claretha denied my return of a fan purchased on May 24th, [redacted], stating it was past the return window. However, Family Dollar’s policy allows for returns within 30 days, as stated on their website and the box. Claretha was unhelpful and even spoke negatively about me to someone over the phone. The employees’ behavior was unacceptable, and I feel disrespected. I have the receipt and original packaging to support my claim. I urge Family Dollar to address this behavior and ensure employees follow company policies. I plan to seek a refund through my bank due to the poor customer service experienced at this store.

The employee, who I believe was a manager, seemed uninterested when I asked for deals, ignoring my repeated requests for my phone number. While attempting to enter it myself, she rushed at the cash register, causing me to overpay. This specific store consistently overcharges, making it difficult for me and others to shop there. Despite having other nearby options, I keep returning, but today's significant overcharge was the final straw. I cannot afford such mistakes on my debit card and the poor customer service has left me with no desire to patronize this store in the future.

I recently shopped at Family Dollar and purchased some food items that turned out to be bad. Both my mother and I have fallen ill as a result. I paid with a $[redacted] bill but only received $40 in change, which was incorrect. I also encountered issues with the pricing of items that were supposed to be on sale for $1 each. Additionally, I experienced problems with my debit card being charged twice, leading to it being blocked, and I had to request a replacement card.

I purchased an Apple gift card for $[redacted], but the printer wasn't working and I needed a receipt to use the card. The clerk couldn't print it, so she transferred the amount to a Family Dollar card without my consent. I requested the Apple card back, but she insisted I come back the next day to resolve it. She mentioned calling fraud protection to refund my money. It's been four days, and I haven't been able to speak to her. I shouldn't have to chase her down. I won't use the Family Dollar card and had to buy another Apple card. I just want my money refunded.

At the Family Dollar store in Diana, Texas, my family member and I bought a Verizon phone (BLU) and asked the cashier for a Verizon refill card. We were given the wrong refill card for $50 each. Upon realizing the error, the manager refused a refund, citing that corporate handles phone-related refunds. Despite the manager's efforts, it's been two months without any resolution. I'm growing frustrated and request a refund promptly from corporate.

There was a three-day sale on the Family Dollar app, and I went to the store to purchase the three cases of Coke that were on sale for $12 with a coupon on the app making it three for $10. However, at the cashier, I faced resistance in getting the advertised discount. It's frustrating that as a consumer, I had to argue and stand up for the promotion that your company posted. It should be honored without issues. I recommend that your stores ensure they are up to date with the app's offers to avoid discrepancies like this in the future. This experience is disappointing, and as a consumer advocate, I expect the sale terms to be respected. Please, honor the prices you advertise. Thank you.
