I recently shopped at Family Dollar on Lake Drive in Prestonsburg, KY. I noticed that every time I check out, the price does not match the shelf price. The checkout price is always higher. The staff mentioned that it gets changed in the computer system, and they are unaware of it as the shelf price stickers are not updated promptly. I am concerned whether it is an issue with the store or a corporate bait-and-switch scheme. Having worked in retail before, I know such practices are illegal and questionable.

I bought a 6-pack of socks but found them too small after trying on just one sock. I returned them and got a refund, but I was informed that the untouched socks would be thrown away as they couldn't be donated. It's unfortunate that these unused socks couldn't go to those in need like the homeless or shelters. It's a practice that needs to be changed.

My spouse encountered a frustrating situation at store number [redacted] where a man rudely cut in line in front of her despite her waiting patiently. When she confronted him, he used inappropriate language, and the worker present did not intervene. After the man left, the employee started to verbally abuse her. Feeling disrespected, she abandoned her cart with around $30 worth of items. I also had a negative experience a month ago at the same store, where a worker overcharged me and dismissed my concerns until a manager rectified the $14 mistake. The treatment my wife received was unacceptable. As people of faith who value respect, we are troubled by this incident. I have tried contacting the store without success. I seek an explanation for these events and request a response to address the poor treatment we endured.

I'm Bryan. Recently, I was unfairly asked to leave a store in Lakeland, Florida. I suspect the store manager may have been dismissed, but I still feel uneasy and unwelcome. This situation needs to be addressed promptly. I am very frustrated with the way this was handled. I am considering seeking legal advice to address this issue with your company. Please contact me at [redacted] as soon as possible. Thank you.

I was recently removed from the store by the manager, seemingly due to jealousy over a woman, but I didn't engage in any wrongdoing. This incident occurred at a store on New Tampa Highway in Lakeland, Florida, where I have been a regular customer for years. The experience was humiliating, especially because many people saw it happen. I am considering pursuing monetary compensation for the distress caused. I am confident that with the support of my excellent legal representation, I will succeed in this matter. My contact number is [redacted], which you have had for a month. Despite this unfortunate event, I usually only purchase affordable cat litter at your store since I find the other products lacking. I urge you to address this situation promptly.

I have been a loyal customer at the Manchester, Connecticut store for years. However, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. The store has consistently been understaffed, resulting in a lack of cleanliness and organization. The employees have been rude and disrespectful, speaking about customers in Spanish right in front of them. It is unacceptable to see items scattered on the floor and shelves poorly stocked. The overall environment is intolerable, and it is disheartening to witness such poor service in our community. I believe immediate action should be taken to address these issues and improve the shopping experience for customers.

I used to work at Family Dollar in Lubbock, TX on [redacted] N University for a long time. Despite working diligently and being punctual, I experienced racism and bullying from other employees which made me feel very uncomfortable and stressed. A manager recognized my hard work and wants me to transfer to her store, but she mentioned HR needs to be involved in the process.

On Friday, December 29, [redacted], when my partner entered the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] N 27th Ave around 9 p.m., they noticed a new female employee - potentially a new manager - interacting with a man wearing a camo hat and jacket. The employee mentioned she couldn't provide him with PallMall cigarettes that night, but assured him she could do so the next day when she was working the front register alone. When I entered the store to find my partner, the same female employee approached me and asked for a pack of donuts from an open box on a back shelf. I observed the open box as I searched for my partner. She insisted I go to the front of the store and threatened to call security when I hesitated. After relaying this information to my partner, we proceeded to the front and left the store as the employee threatened to involve security. In the parking lot, a man in a camo jacket and hat, accompanied by an unleashed dog, attempted to grab my partner's purse and issued threats. I intervened, and this led to the security guard pulling a gun on me and making threats. A bystander intervened, questioning the necessity of drawing a gun. Subsequently, we left the scene, observing a verbal altercation between the camo-clad security guard and the bystander that appeared to escalate. This entire situation spiraled out of control and had the potential for serious harm. I am now dealing with severe PTSD due to this traumatic experience and am seeking legal advice to prevent similar incidents in the future. The behavior displayed by the employee, the security guard, and the individual in camo was alarming and unexpected, causing significant distress, especially considering my previous encounter with a gun a few months earlier. I am exploring ways to ensure the safety and well-being of customers at this Family Dollar store moving forward.

During my recent visit with my girlfriend at the Family Dollar store on **** N **th Ave, I observed a concerning interaction involving a new female employee whom I suspect might be a new manager. She was talking to a customer in a camo hat and jacket about purchasing Pall Mall cigarettes, mentioning she couldn't provide them that night but would the next day when she was working the front register alone. Later, when I was looking for my girlfriend in the store, the same employee approached me and insisted I take a pack of donuts from an open box on a back shelf. Feeling uncomfortable, I headed towards the front of the store, and she threatened to call security when I resisted. This escalated outside, where a man in a camo jacket and hat, accompanied by an unleashed dog, attempted to grab my girlfriend's purse and made threats. The security guard then drew a gun, causing distress due to a past traumatic experience. The situation spiraled, leading to unnecessary confrontation and heightened tension. I believe there were serious deficiencies in handling this incident, and I am seeking advice from legal professionals to prevent such occurrences in the future.

I had a distressing experience at the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] N 27th Ave on Friday, December 29, [redacted], around 9 pm. Upon entering, my companion noticed a new female employee, possibly a new manager, talking to a man in a camo hat and jacket about not being able to provide him with PallMall cigarettes that night. She promised to assist him the next day while working the front register alone. Later, this same employee confronted me aggressively about a box of donuts she claimed I had taken from the shelves, escalating the situation by threatening to involve security. This encounter led to a dangerous confrontation with the security guard in the parking lot involving a man in a camo jacket and hat with an unleashed dog. The security guard brandished a gun, causing significant distress due to a prior incident involving a gun. This inappropriate handling of the situation by the store's employee and security guard left me deeply troubled. I am taking steps to address this concerning event and ensure the safety of future customers.

This is the third occasion I have visited the Family Dollar store on Peoria Ave to find it closed before the posted store hours. The sign on the door, about the size of one-third of a piece of notebook paper, is poorly readable. It states the store is closed at 8:30 due to a system update. I find it hard to believe that the system requires updating this frequently during operational hours as no other stores seem to have this issue. This recurring problem is frustrating and inconvenient. I understand my feedback may not have a significant impact, but I felt compelled to share my experience. It seems others may have encountered similar situations. Perhaps considering additional staff or updated business hours could help alleviate this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, K. Ross.

On Sunday, January 8, [redacted], I visited Family Dollar Store #[redacted] at [redacted] Reed Road, Houston, Texas to buy drinks for a meal. There was a sign for (4) 16.9 fl oz Dr. Pepper products for $10. Despite picking 1 Dr. Pepper Zero, 2 7Ups, 1 Orange Crush, and 1 2-liter Coke Zero, the cashier charged me $23, not honoring the advertised price. After discussing with the cashier and a gentleman, it was mentioned that the sale had ended the day before, with only one forgotten sign left. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service, I chose to shop elsewhere for my items. Despite my fondness for shopping at Family Dollar, I will not return to this specific location due to this experience. I feel it's important to share this incident with Corporate and the District Manager.

I noticed that Diet Dr Pepper was on sale at the store, and I wanted to buy two for $2.50. When I asked the lady at the register about buying two, she was on her cell phone the whole time, which was unprofessional. She seemed to be the manager and didn't allow me to return the Diet Dr Pepper I purchased. Even though I wanted to return it along with some other items, she didn't allow me to return just one item. I was not happy with the service at the Family Dollar store, especially because the shelves were empty. I would appreciate a call back regarding this matter. Thank you.

I had a very bad experience with an employee at your store who was rude and made insensitive comments. She was not wearing a uniform or a name badge, likely in her school clothes. When I asked her questions at the checkout, she refused to give me her name. There was a manager present who did not intervene. The girl's behavior was so unacceptable that I left the store in tears. I only have a receipt with no information on who helped me. This occurred on January 14th, [redacted], around 9:00 p.m. at the Family Dollar number [redacted] in Shinnston, West Virginia. I appreciate any help you can provide.

I live in Coaling, Alabama, where a new store (#[redacted]) recently opened. Our community was thrilled to have a store but lately, the customer service has been lacking. During my recent visit at 12:47 p.m. to purchase allergy medicine and Valentine's items, I was dismayed by the behavior of the employees. They were loudly discussing personal matters with foul language, even mentioning their financial troubles in front of customers, including children. One cashier had to use her own money to provide change for a customer, as the others refused. Moreover, I was not greeted at the checkout, and the employee was preoccupied with irrelevant conversations. The general disrespect shown towards customers is unacceptable, and I hope this issue is promptly addressed to ensure a more respectful shopping experience for all customers at the store.

I purchased two $20 Steam gift cards. The first card scanned fine, but the second did not. The manager had me get a replacement card, which I paid for. When I gave the cards to my partner, one worked but the other did not. I tried returning the faulty card, but the manager said there was nothing she could do once the receipt was printed. On the back of the gift card, it mentioned returning it to the retailer per their policy. When I brought this up to the manager, she advised contacting corporate for assistance. She directed me to find the phone number online. I am seeking a replacement $20 Steam gift card or a refund.

I recently made a purchase at Family Dollar in Frogmore, S.C., and when I got home to Orangeburg, S.C., I needed to exchange some baby wipes. I visited the store in Orangeburg, and they kept my receipt. I tried to return the item at two other Family Dollar stores, but was directed back to the store that kept my receipt. Despite explaining my situation, they told me to come back the next day to speak with the manager. Due to health reasons, I was unable to return the item earlier. I am concerned about the 30-day return policy and whether I will be able to receive a refund on the 32nd day. I hope the manager will understand my circumstances. Can someone please assist me with this issue? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

On December 22nd, I purchased two boxes of Goobers Chocolate Covered Nuts for my husband, only to find maggots inside both boxes. When I informed the manager at the Family Dollar Store on Hwy 82w Greenville MS [redacted], she simply refunded me and disposed of the contaminated items. Despite reaching out to the candy company, all they did was send me coupons for more candy, which is unacceptable given the situation. Today, a friend who bought Valentine's candy from the same store found maggots in her purchase as well. This recurring issue of contamination is deeply concerning to us as customers. The store first had rat problems, and now maggots - this is outrageous! We are seeking fair compensation for these incidents and may consider taking legal action.

I visited the Family Dollar store on South Park Avenue in Lackawanna, NY yesterday. I had $[redacted] in my purse and spent $39, retaining the receipt. I paid with a $[redacted] bill, and the cashier seemed hesitant, making me uneasy. After leaving, I discovered $[redacted] missing when checking my remaining $[redacted]. As the only place I visited, I suspect the money was lost, stolen, or taken during the transaction. I revisited the store, but the cashier and manager were unhelpful. They reviewed the security footage and checked the cash register, but offered no solution. I am certain of the amount I had because I won it at the casino. I would like to review the security footage myself to resolve this matter. Thank you.
