I am experiencing issues with the new store management. The current team consists of immature individuals as there is no store manager overseeing operations. The store's irregular opening hours are problematic. Whenever I enter, the assistant store manager, Joey, plays loud and inappropriate rap music, creating a disruptive environment. On a recent visit with my wife, we needed assistance locating a product, and when my wife gestured for help, the associate called Joey. Joey then rudely questioned my wife’s position without regard for her presence. When I addressed the situation, Joey dismissed his behavior as a joke and proceeded to engage in a heated discussion. His thirst for power is evident as he asserts his authority over the store. The store's disorderly state and constant profanity are concerning. Joey's recent promotion and the overall lack of maturity and respect are disappointing. Despite the store's convenience, I will be taking my business elsewhere until there is a more professional team in place. Though I doubt any action will be taken, I felt it was important to raise these issues.

I reside in Clarksville, OH, where we are serviced by a Family Dollar. We are located in a very rural area with limited access to grocery stores. I am part of a mobile home community of roughly [redacted] individuals, many of whom lack transportation. When we do manage to get rides, we typically visit the Family Dollar in our vicinity rather than traveling to Kroger due to the distance.
Unfortunately, our local Family Dollar store is not meeting our needs. I recently visited and found that they did not have any cold drinks available, which was disappointing. Additionally, I am puzzled by the clearance aisle as the items are all marked at regular retail prices.
I believe there is a significant opportunity for improvement to cater to the needs of our community. We require essentials like milk, ice, cold beverages, cereal, bread (often out of stock), cosmetics, and more. It would also be helpful if prices were clearly labeled, especially in the clearance section, where items should be appropriately discounted.
One of my neighbors was informed that the store hasn't stocked ice for over a year due to issues with the supplier, while nearby gas stations consistently have ice available. On another occasion, I was searching for storage containers at the store, only to find numerous lids but no containers. When I requested assistance, an employee was unhelpful and dismissive, stating that it was not worth checking the stock.
The lack of essential items, unclear pricing, and unhelpful staff are contributing to our challenges as customers. I hope these concerns can be addressed promptly for the benefit of our community.

I need to report a serious issue regarding the Family Dollar Store on Kenmore Boulevard. The store is severely infested with bed bugs to the point where my furniture had to be disposed of multiple times. Despite our efforts to eliminate the problem by buying new items and using bug bombs, the infestation only worsened with each visit to the store. I was forced to leave my apartment, incurring relocation costs of $1,[redacted], in addition to the hundreds of dollars spent on replacing infested items. The store's negligence has caused me significant financial loss, stress, and embarrassment. I plan to seek legal counsel to address the inconvenience, bites, and expenses I have endured due to this situation. The store's failure to address the bed bug infestation adequately, by not closing for cleaning and treatment, has allowed the problem to spread throughout the community. My goal is to hold Family Dollar accountable for the damages I have suffered because of their neglect.

I visited the Family Dollar store in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, today after their remodeling and was disappointed by the disarray. The store had no shopping carts, blocked aisles, and items scattered hazardously, even causing a card display to fall on me, cutting my leg. With just one overwhelmed employee at the checkout, the store was chaotic, and the lack of organization reflects poor management. As a lifelong bank manager, I know the importance of accountability and proper store maintenance. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly as I've always preferred Family Dollar over Dollar General across the street. Thank you. - M. Delorenzi

I bought a cell phone from your store located at [redacted] Shelby Street, Indianapolis, Indiana [redacted] (Store [redacted]). I specifically inquired if the phone would work with Boost Mobile before making the purchase, and was assured it would. I also confirmed that I could return it if there were any issues, to which they agreed. However, after encountering problems, I tried to return it, but the store did not provide a refund. I previously emailed once from a different email address and am reaching out again. I kindly request a refund for the purchase. My contact number is [redacted].

I am a 55-year-old disabled woman who does not drive and typically walks to the store. I have been a loyal customer for over three years and have never encountered any issues with the staff who usually greet me warmly. On October 2nd, while shopping as usual, I was suddenly accused of trespassing by a police officer at checkout. The situation escalated when I had to wait for the manager, Miss Smith, for about 20 to 30 minutes. She informed me that I was suspected of trespassing multiple times and that people were tired of watching out for me.
I am certain that there was no suspicious behavior on my part. I vehemently deny shoplifting and believe this accusation is either due to disability discrimination or intentional malice. This experience has caused me great distress and affected my quality of life as I now have to rely on more expensive gas stations for supplies. Despite leaving messages with Family Dollar's corporate office, I have yet to receive any response. If the situation is not resolved promptly, I will seek assistance from my disability advocate and escalate the matter to City Council and even my congressman. This issue needs to be addressed promptly.

My name is Dave B., and I reside near your store at [redacted] N Florissant Rd (Store11827). Today, around 3:43 PM central time, I encountered a distressing situation in your store. While holding the door for the person behind me, I overheard one of your cashiers making inappropriate remarks about customers. Furthermore, I was surprised to hear an announcement about the store closing, as there were no posted hours on the door. During checkout, the cashier continued to use vulgar language and paused to lock the doors before the closing time. Another employee had to be called to inform arriving customers that the store was closing. When I heard the cashier use profanities towards customers in line, I was shocked, and I could see the discomfort on other customers' faces. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I bought a comfort zone heater on 11/03/[redacted] at store #[redacted] located at [redacted] Singleton Blvd. Unfortunately, there was no information indicating that it was non-returnable. Upon plugging it in at home, the cord and plug overheated quickly, prompting me to unplug it. When attempting to return it to the store on 11/05/[redacted], I was told by Christina that all heaters are non-returnable, although this was not communicated to me by my cashier Chris during purchase. I requested to speak with the store manager, but was told that Christina was now the manager and she refused to refund my purchase. I am concerned about the safety of using this heater and would like a refund.
Thank you,
T.N.

The store at [redacted] North Broadway in Fargo, ND [redacted] is currently facing operational challenges. Over the past two days, it has been closed, causing distress among customers who rely on it as the primary shopping destination in North Fargo. Uncertainty surrounds whether this closure is permanent. A week ago, irregular opening hours and unauthorized personnel operating the cash registers were already issues. The abrupt closures have left customers frustrated, with many relying on this store for their daily needs. The lack of communication from the store management is exacerbating the situation, leaving customers feeling unheard.

I am interested in the Aussie Miracle CLEAN Shampoo with Australian Eucalyptus Extract 778ml (26.2FL OZ) and would like to request for it to be stocked at your FAMILY DOLLAR STORE located at [redacted] Sam Rittenberg Blvd. Charleston, SC [redacted], managed by Danny. I recall reading a magazine article some years ago that rated this shampoo as the top hair cleanser suitable for all hair types. It effectively removes residue and leaves hair looking great. I follow the recommended usage of shampooing with this product once a week followed by regular shampoo for the second wash, resulting in fantastic hair. Despite its benefits, I find it challenging to locate. With the knowledge that it is available at another Family Dollar Store downtown, I kindly urge for it to also be stocked at the West Ashley branch. Thank you. - Helen Creamer.

I bought a SafeLink calling card from Family Dollar on Remount Road in North Charleston, South Carolina. The card only had 14 digits, but SafeLink requires 15 digits to activate. When I returned it, the manager refused to help, claiming she couldn't give a refund. She seemed unprofessional and unresponsive. I need assistance to get my $23 back for the unusable phone card.

Hello, I am reaching out about an incident at the Family Dollar store in Adrian, MI [redacted] on 11/17/[redacted] around 5:00 PM. Upon entering the store, a strong wind is believed to have slammed the door behind my sister, causing her to fall and injure her face. The staff, including the manager and assistant manager, were unhelpful and did not acknowledge the incident, continuing with their break, including a cigarette break. Despite my sister spending approximately 40 minutes in the restroom, no incident report was filed, and her information was not collected. There was a lack of concern and no questions asked by the management. When we tried to follow up the next day (11/18/[redacted]), we were met with disrespect, rudeness, and verbal aggression. My sister sustained injuries, and we are looking to address this promptly. My name is Brenda, and I can be reached at [redacted]. The injured person, Kalina, can be contacted at [redacted]. Your assistance in resolving this issue promptly is appreciated. Thank you.

I am currently stuck out of town and bought battery-operated hair clippers from Family Dollar. I opened the package, turned them on, and tried to use them, but they wouldn't cut. When I went back to the store, they refused to refund me because I had touched my face with the clippers. I find this policy unreasonable. I just want a refund for the clippers and batteries, totaling $15. I have the receipt and would like to be able to return the defective product for a full refund.

I celebrated my granddaughter's birthday on Saturday the 20th and visited the Family Dollar store on Highway 98, a place I frequent. After their recent store renovation, I decided to browse the toy section for a doll to complement my other purchases. While looking for a doll, I noticed only dark baby dolls on the shelves, about 15 in total, with no white baby dolls available. I have no issue with brown baby dolls, but I believe I should have the option to choose a white doll for my granddaughter. Diversity in toy selection is essential for all customers to find what they need without having to visit multiple stores. It's important for stores to consider offering a range of options to cater to all customers' preferences.

I attempted to make a purchase at Family Dollar, and the clerk scanned my items totaling $21.88. I handed over $[redacted].88, and the clerk refused to complete the sale, citing a lack of change because they had just opened for the day. I explained it was all the money I had, but the clerk made no effort to ask a colleague if they had change. It would have been appreciated if the clerk had suggested waiting to see if they could gather enough change from other customers. Despite my willingness to wait and potentially buy more items, the clerk was unhelpful and simply stated they couldn't provide change. Additionally, the store's mask policy was not enforced as the clerk was not wearing one, leading to concerns about safety measures. I typically spend around $[redacted] a month at Family Dollar but due to this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. The lack of customer service and empathy shown by the clerk was disappointing, especially considering my own extensive experience working with the public. It's not about the lack of change, but rather the disrespectful behavior exhibited.

I contacted the Family Dollar in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, to inquire about the return of some purchased items with a receipt. They confirmed I could return the items, but upon arrival, no one had answered the phone that day. Unfortunately, the staff refused to assist me, leading to an altercation. The cashier insulted me, denied service, physically assaulted me, and threatened me with a bat. Additionally, they withheld my purchased items despite having a receipt. The situation escalated, resulting in police involvement and my ban from the store. Despite the cashier's unprofessional behavior, I maintained my composure throughout the incident and did not engage in any wrongdoing.

I am a person with a disability who uses a walker to shop at my local store frequently. Today, when I attempted to exit the store, I encountered difficulty due to the long pole attached to the shopping cart. I was told to remove all items from the cart because all their carts had this barrier. Despite my request for assistance and expressing my frustration, none of the employees offered any help. Thankfully, some kind fellow customers stepped in to assist me. I urge Family Dollar to consider providing carts without these barriers, as it would greatly benefit not only me but also other customers with similar needs. I am a loyal shopper and visit Family Dollar at least three times a week, so this change would significantly improve my shopping experience.

I recently visited your store, where I am a frequent shopper. Unfortunately, the woman I encountered working there today displayed a bad attitude. When I approached the counter and requested two items from behind it, she rudely remarked, "I can't wait until 3:30." As she begrudgingly retrieved the items, I felt unjustly treated. In a world where positivity is vital, employees should leave personal issues at home. Another employee stood by with a smile, highlighting the stark difference. This behavior is unacceptable, and I believe action should be taken, as this is not an isolated incident. I would appreciate a response to address this ongoing issue. Thank you.

Hello, I bought a DVD player on 11-27 at 11:28 a.m. from your Okmulgee store #[redacted]. After leaving, the alarm sounded, but an employee assured me everything was fine. Upon getting home to Bartlesville, I discovered the DVD player didn't work, had a disk inside, and was missing the remote and instructions. I had to purchase a different player from Walmart. When I tried to return the faulty one at the Bartlesville store with the receipt, the manager refused, insisting I return it to the original store, which is an hour and a half away in Okmulgee. Returning it is costlier than the item itself. I request a refund without having to travel back to Okmulgee. Your help is appreciated. Thank you, M.W.

I had a disappointing experience during a recent return at the store. The manager, identified as Christina, was incredibly rude and disrespectful. Despite having the necessary documentation for a return, she treated me poorly, refused to process it, and caused unnecessary embarrassment by involving other staff and customers. I felt belittled and mistreated throughout the entire 45-minute ordeal. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially considering my loyalty to this store. I am reevaluating my patronage to a store I have frequented since childhood based on this negative encounter.
