Hello, my name is Priscilla Ramirez. I used to work at a Family Dollar in Pasadena, TX, back in 2[redacted]. During my time there, I had to leave suddenly due to an emergency at home. When I informed the manager, he threatened to ban me from working at any Family Dollar store again. Fast forward to [redacted], that same manager offered me a role as an assistant manager, which I had to decline due to health issues. I am now interested in rejoining the company, but I need assistance in understanding how to be removed from the Trigger Assist- Rehire Check list. I would appreciate any help in resolving this matter as I truly enjoyed working for Family Dollar. Thank you, Priscilla Ramirez.

On the day of February, I visited your Family Dollar store after stopping at a Subway sandwich shop. I had my food in a black bag, which caused issues with the clerks. Despite explaining that it was my lunch, I was repeatedly questioned about the bag. Feeling unjustly targeted, I finished my shopping and left, feeling mistreated. On a later date in February, I returned to buy pet food and was confronted by a clerk who tried to bar me from the store. The interaction escalated, and I was accused of threatening behavior. As a **-year-old customer, I expect better treatment and hospitality. I hope this can be resolved to avoid such incidents in the future. The store location is the one at Gettysburg and First St in Fresno, CA.

On the day of February **, I visited a Family Dollar store but encountered issues with bringing my black bag containing food from Subway inside. Despite showing the contents were my sandwich, I was repeatedly questioned by clerks. Feeling unfairly treated, I tried to resolve the situation at the checkout but was still asked to leave my bag upfront. I felt like a vagrant and asked for a store representative number before leaving.
On February **, I returned to buy pet food and was confronted by a male clerk who wanted to prevent me from entering the store. He accused me of being banned and tried to take my bag of food. We had a disagreement, with him claiming I threatened him, which I deny. The experience was unsettling, especially since I had my son with me. The store at Gettysburg and First St in Fresno, CA, needs improved customer service training to handle such situations better. I seek a resolution without having to take my business elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience at the Family Dollar in Staples, Minnesota. There are two employees who need to improve how they treat customers. One of the women left her post to smoke outside when I was ready to check out, which was frustrating. During another visit, the staff was gossiping and on their phones, showing no interest in helping me. When I tried to pay with a card, I was rudely told they only accepted cash, although it was written on a notice I missed. The customer service here is simply not acceptable.

I visited your store at [redacted] South Avenue in Syracuse, NY. As a loyal customer who frequently makes significant purchases, I recently encountered an issue. While trying to buy garbage bags priced at $4 for a pack of [redacted], I noticed they were misplaced with a different price tag. When I brought this to the attention of the store manager, she insisted on charging me the higher price of $8. Feeling disappointed by this experience, I have decided not to return to any Family Dollar stores. I plan to inform my friends and family about these discrepancies in pricing. I will share my feedback on various social media platforms and community boards. It's disheartening to feel mistreated as a customer who has supported the store along with others in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to discontinue my patronage.

I currently have a limited amount of funds in my bank account and my credit card is maxed out. I do have cash on hand at home, and I am interested in making a purchase at the Family Dollar store located on East Saint Pat in Rapid City, South Dakota. I am wondering if it would be possible to place an order for delivery and pay the delivery person in cash upon receipt of the items. I have been attempting to contact the store regularly, but unfortunately, I have been unable to reach anyone as the phone rings continuously without any answer.

I bought 2 pairs of curtains from Family Dollar on 12/12/21, but I actually needed 3 pairs. When I tried to return them with my receipt, the manager at the store said they couldn't process returns because the cashier was new. I was told no returns could be done. I left, but I reviewed the return policy and I understand my rights. If I don't hear back today, I will contact my attorney. I attempted to call the district office, but haven't received a response.

The Family Dollar store operating hours are inconsistent with the ones listed online or on their phone recordings. This has made it difficult to determine when the store is open for shopping. The manager mentioned that the irregular hours are due to staff shortages, Covid restrictions, and winter schedules, now closing at 6 pm. However, this poses challenges for customers who can only shop during the evenings. The store needs to update their hours on various platforms accurately and ensure staff answer calls to inform customers of the opening hours. It is essential to hire competent managers and employees with retail experience and enforce a strict policy on drug and alcohol use. Smoking near the store entrance, especially by employees during work hours, and unprofessional behavior with customers should not be tolerated. To improve customer service, the store should post their current hours online, on Google, on the door, and on the phone recording. Regular drug screenings and employing qualified individuals can enhance the overall shopping experience.

I received a mail flyer advertising a sale at red pearl pearl and footwear, offering 40% off items marked with a pink circle. When I arrived at the store with items tagged with pink circles, only a few were discounted correctly. The pajama sets, advertised at $7 but rang up as $12, had signs indicating a price of $7.99 with pink dots. Despite showing the ad to the cashier, who claimed to be the manager, she refused to honor the prices or verify the signage. Disappointed by the lack of assistance, I left without making a purchase, missing out on spending over $[redacted] in your store.

Today, I experienced a distressing situation when a store employee at the Brattleboro Vermont location, across from Hannaford, raised their voice at me for not wearing a mask. Despite explaining my breathing difficulties, they continued to argue loudly, causing embarrassment. This treatment was rude, unjustified, and against the law as it disregards my medical exemption protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. - Lyda

I used to work at Family Dollar in Rosenberg, Texas in [redacted] with Manager Christian Johnson. I recently applied to Dollar Tree in Missouri City, Texas, but they mentioned a code next to my name preventing me from getting hired. I gave a two-week notice and resigned. After I reported this to the corporate office, Christian Johnson reinstated me on the schedule, but I eventually resigned. Now, I am having trouble getting a job at Dollar Tree due to the code linked to my name. Please help clear my name. Thank you.

I bought a gift card on Sunday, December 26, [redacted]. When I tried to register it online and over the phone, it kept saying the number was invalid. Today, I visited Family Dollar to resolve the issue, but the new employee was dismissive and tried to downplay the situation. The employee’s attitude was rude, and when I asked for the manager, I was informed she wouldn't be available for another 40 minutes. I felt disrespected and this is not acceptable. I have been a loyal customer at this store for five months and never encountered such unprofessional behavior. The manager's negative attitude, especially towards female customers, was very disappointing. The situation was handled poorly and it was not my fault.

I am currently experiencing issues with my manager, Ms. Regina, at work. This morning, after a conversation I believed was over, she became loud and aggressive towards me for reasons I did not understand. Despite my attempts to clarify the situation, she accused me of slamming a door and having an attitude. This behavior continued in front of customers, leading me to seek advice from my family and ultimately resign from my position. Since then, Ms. Regina has been harassing me via text messages, making false accusations and attempting to involve others in the situation. I have evidence of her threats and behavior documented. I am interested in filing a formal complaint and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further with a representative.

For two consecutive nights, I visited the same Family Dollar store in Houston, Texas, and found two unique items I wanted to purchase. Despite being the last of each item, both were not ringing up at the checkout. I tried to replace one item with a different color of the same brand, hoping they could scan it for pricing, but was still unsuccessful. It's frustrating that if products are displayed on shelves, they should be available for sale. Hiring more staff to organize inventory properly could avoid such issues, and it's disappointing and upsetting to encounter this situation repeatedly.

I am inquiring about the Covid policy for employees at the New Orleans store on General Degaulle as it seems there are no established procedures in place. The situation yesterday caused all employees to be ill, yet corporate insisted the store be opened without success. It's disheartening to witness the lack of consideration for the employees' well-being and the overall instability within the workforce. It's important to remember that respect and fair treatment are crucial, especially during these challenging times. Family Dollar should prioritize the welfare of its employees over profits. The demanding work conditions, low pay, and lack of support are unacceptable. I have tried contacting the Corporate office without success, but my concerns remain unaddressed. It is essential for management to listen to their staff's needs and create a safer and more respectful work environment. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I followed the instructions to return an unopened pack of Christmas cards but was refused because it was a Christmas item. I was never informed of this policy during my attempt to return the item the week of Christmas. Northgate Plaza in Rochester, NY is poorly managed and provides no clear direction. The customer service experience was ridiculous for such a simple return. Additionally, the cashier appeared to be sick with a runny nose under her mask. It was concerning to see her working, especially during a surge in COVID-19 cases. Her constant sniffling and handling of items seemed unsanitary.

I bought items at a Family Dollar in Columbia, TN on Jan 1, [redacted], and was told I could return them at any Family Dollar within 30 days with a receipt. When I tried to return the items at the Family Dollar in Madison, TN on Jan 2, [redacted], the cashier said only items bought from their store could be returned. He mentioned their store was a franchise and not fully connected to the corporate policy. Feeling embarrassed and frustrated, I left. I am almost 74 years old and found the experience in Madison challenging for an elderly woman. I shared my story on social media to raise awareness about the incident.

I want to report a concern regarding certain individuals who have access to the security and safe codes at store #[redacted]. These individuals are skilled thieves who are adept at electronic theft. Their behavior is alarming as they have managed to disrupt the store's internet connection, possibly using hidden cameras for their illegal activities. I urge for a thorough inspection of the store to detect any unauthorized devices and to address the ongoing security breaches. I have also fallen victim to these criminals and believe it is crucial to take action and apprehend them before they cause further harm.

I was unable to find the complaint number at the store I visited, which was Store #[redacted] in Louisville, KY. Upon making a purchase on January 10, [redacted], I was accused by the cashier, an older white lady, of theft from a previous day which I was not there as I was at work. My transaction included buying food and a teddy bear totaling $5.
The cashier's behavior was unacceptable as she accused me of theft and proceeded to yell and act belligerently towards me. This led me to feel discriminated against due to her consistent accusations whenever I visit the store. The store manager did not handle the situation adequately which has left me feeling disheartened.
I strongly believe that the cashier needs better training in customer service and the manager should handle customer complaints more professionally by investigating both sides of any issue. I have decided to no longer support Family Dollar or Dollar General due to this experience, and I will be informing others about my experience as well. It is essential for employees to treat customers with respect and professionalism, and for management to uphold these standards to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Dear Family Dollar Corporate Customer Service,
My name is Barbara Bryant from Virden, IL, and I am a regular shopper at your store on Springfield Street. I recently had an upsetting experience when I tried to purchase a cooler with wheels at a discounted price for my son-in-law's birthday. Despite it being labeled with a 50% off sticker, the assistant manager, Heather, refused to sell it claiming it needed to be pulled from the shelf. I was shocked and disappointed by this unexpected turn of events. I would like clarification on why the item couldn't be sold, as there seemed to be no issue with it when I examined it. I urge you to address this incident and provide answers to my queries. The cooler is still of interest to me, and I hope to resolve this matter promptly. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Barb Bryant
