I made a booking at The Park Hyatt Tokyo for two rooms from Oct 2 to Oct 7 for Daniel R. The original confirmation number was # [redacted]9. I had to cancel the reservation on April 7/23, and the cancellation confirmation number is #X3GQ3JC. My Visa was charged around $[redacted].00 two months ago for the booking made via Expedia, but I have not received the refund on my Visa statement yet.

On July 8th, I made a hotel reservation on the Expedia app for Sandmann Inn in Cranbrook, BC. An amount of $[redacted].32 was charged to my MasterCard by Expedia. Upon reaching the hotel, I was surprised to find that there was no room reserved for my family. We had to pay for the room again. I am requesting a refund for the charge on my MasterCard since the room was not held as expected and I had to pay in person. I am disappointed by the service provided and the lack of confirmation or actual booking of the room by your team.

My name is Gabrielle B. I booked a flight through your app from Ottawa to Vancouver for July 25th to August 1st. While booking, my finger accidentally pressed the back arrow, and only half of the booking went through. I contacted Expedia, and they assured me I would receive a refund within 72 hours as it was just a pre-authorization due to the incomplete transaction. However, it has been more than 72 hours, and I have also spoken with my bank.

I am seeking a refund for my flight from Costa Rica to Calgary in March [redacted]. Initially having a layover in Houston, due to Covid, I was advised to change to a direct flight. Despite attempting to contact the airline to modify the booking, I was unable to get through. Subsequently, I canceled the original flight online and rebooked a direct one. While I received credit for the canceled flight, given the financial changes brought about by Covid, I would prefer a refund.

I accidentally selected the wrong return date for my Air France tickets from Beirut to YUL. Initially, the agents did not allow me to change the return date to 11 July despite availability. Even when contacting Air France, they requested $[redacted] per ticket for changes, which seemed unreasonable as changes were normally fee-free. Upon arrival in Beirut, we successfully changed the return date to 11 July through the Air France office for a $[redacted] charge per ticket. The discrepancy in pricing and uncooperative behavior of agents during chats led to this inconvenience. I have records of all conversations and request a reimbursement of $[redacted] USD. I am writing to share my recent upsetting experience with booking a car rental through Expedia. On July 11th, we reserved a vehicle online and reached out via email to inquire about taking it across the border to Seattle but did not receive any clarification. Assuming it would be fine, we arrived at Routes Car Rental on July 19th only to be informed that crossing to the U.S. was not permitted, causing unnecessary stress upon our arrival from Toronto. This resulted in us having to find and pay for an additional car rental after a long flight, doubling our expenses.
I have been unable to locate our original inquiry in the system, and unfortunately, Routes Car Rental provided us with poor customer service and minimal assistance. Despite the inconvenience, we were left to seek an alternative vehicle ourselves.
Given our loyalty to Expedia for booking various travel services, I kindly request a refund for this disappointing booking experience.

I am shocked by the fraudulent behavior of Routes company and deeply disappointed in Expedia for their handling of this situation. I have always trusted Expedia for my travel needs but will no longer support your company. Routes misled me into believing Expedia would provide a refund when I had to cancel my reservation, leaving me without a rental vehicle as they were all sold out. Now, after contacting Routes, they have refused to issue a refund. This deceitful action is unacceptable and has caused me significant distress. I expect not only a refund but also compensation for the trouble this has caused me. The lack of customer service from Routes is appalling, and their association with Expedia is tarnishing your reputation. My wife, puppy, and I had reservations in Moncton, N.B. at Magnetic Hill, where our families also booked. Unfortunately, we were allocated a room across town in an area known for miscreants and drug activity. We were advised against staying there, so we are now searching for refunds to relocate to our original planned location. We used up our remaining funds to prepay for tonight's stay. The owner directed us to contact Expedia, unaware that we had made the purchase through them.

I had a reservation for the Granby hotel motel. Upon arrival, my partner and I immediately noticed a strong musty odor, cluttered and questionable surroundings. Additionally, a customer was trying to get a refund from the receptionist. The receptionist was aggressive and impolite, so we asked her to check our room. The hallways and stairs were dirty, with stained floors and sheets in the room. We couldn't stay there and attempted to get a refund, which led to a confrontation. We left and found another hotel where we were satisfied. We are frequent customers and believe that this motel (as it's not a hotel as advertised on your site) should not be part of your offerings to protect future clients. I reserved a cruise departing from Southampton, England on October 1, [redacted] with Norwegian. Following that, I booked flights through Expedia from Toronto to Southampton, and returning from Barcelona to Toronto. Additionally, I made a reservation for a one-night stay at the Archer Hotel in Southampton through Expedia, where we paid for our booking. I started planning our trip last Saturday and made reservations for two hotels (itinerary #[redacted][redacted] and [redacted][redacted]) through Expedia before downloading the app. I also booked a car rental (itinerary #[redacted][redacted], unsure if before or after the app download), believing I had secured the best prices due to the discounts I saw while booking. I arrived at the hotel, but found it locked with no staff in sight. I called and left messages for the hotel and reached out to Expedia as well. Despite being told by Expedia that my credit card wouldn't be charged as I didn't check in, I noticed a charge on my card. The hotel manager informed me that refunds are handled by Expedia as it was booked through them. However, Expedia stated that the decision lies with the hotel manager and he denied issuing a refund. It appears they are both avoiding responsibility and refusing to issue a refund.

I had to cancel my 2-night stay in Kamloops, British Columbia, and even though the cancellation was confirmed, the hotel is declining to issue a refund for my stay. Expedia has also informed me about a no-refund policy for this specific hotel. While I acknowledge and respect the policy in place, I had booked approximately $4,[redacted] worth of hotels for our cross-country journey from Ottawa to Vancouver. It is disappointing and frustrating that neither Expedia nor the hotel are willing to accommodate a refund in this situation.

I recently spoke with April from the Guest House Inn and Suites regarding our travel situation. We had to make a detour due to possible wildfires and encountered thick smoke on a long dirt road. As we had no cell service, we turned back towards the highway where we called April. She mentioned a lightning storm and hail at the hotel and asked if we were affected. I explained our concerns about the wildfires, darkness approaching, and encountering wild animals on the road. Despite our booking being non-refundable, April sympathetically authorized a full refund due to the extreme weather conditions. We are currently stranded near Edson and seeking clarification on this matter. We appreciate any assistance.

The property we rented is not as described at all. After a long 12-hour drive to Canada for a short vacation, we arrived only to find a completely unlivable and disastrous unit awaiting us. Most of the lights don't work, making it hard to see. The drawers are broken and misplaced, the beds are dirty with pillows that have uncleanable covers, the AC isn't functional, the balcony is filthy without mosquito protection, the kitchen table and bedroom doors are damaged, and there's no space for towels in the bathroom. This situation is chaotic, and I can't stay here with my family. I'm seeking a refund and searching for alternative accommodations nearby.
