I recently received violations for days 4/9 and 4/17 due to my sister-in-law using my car with an Ezpass to go to JFK airport. I made a payment of $19 for the first bill I received on Saturday but forgot to include the credit card expiration date. Upon receiving another bill for $6.75, I realized I could pay online and promptly settled the $19 bill. Today, I paid the $6.75 bill for 4/17. There is also a $6.75 charge for 4/9 in the portal with a message DISPAWHOLD. I am concerned about the payment without the expiration date and would like to resolve these issues by speaking with a representative.

For the past week or two, I've been attempting to speak with a real person, but have only received automated responses. I submitted a toll violation dispute online, specific to NJ Union/Newark Toll, but haven't received any helpful assistance. On December 17, I traveled from Pittsburgh to Rochester, NY, and back on December 18. The rental car I used mistakenly had a Florida-only EZ Pass. Consequently, I unknowingly passed through three toll booth areas without paying. The car's license number is Florida GHX W16, a Silver Camry rented from Avis in Pittsburgh. I recently spoke over the phone regarding my account setup as a pay-per-trip user and would like to maintain this arrangement. The credit card associated with my account ends in [redacted], while the linked bank account ends in [redacted]. I’ve spoken with an agent and instructed my bank not to decline any transactions. Kindly deduct $11.39 from the bank account ending in [redacted] and reverse all fees, charging them to the credit card ending in [redacted]. Please refund any excess funds as I prefer a pay-per-trip setup over a deposit account. I recently received multiple violation notices by mail. Unfortunately, I had not realized that my EZPass was not working as my car was undergoing repairs for a few months, during which I wasn't using it. When I found out about the issue and contacted the service center after passing through once and being prompted to do so, I discovered I had a collections balance, which I promptly paid off. I then signed up for a new EZPass, which I have been using without trouble. However, I am now receiving four notices asking for a payment of $[redacted] each. I have since moved from the address where the letters were being sent, so I did not receive them. Currently, I am unemployed and unable to afford these fees. I have kept my new EZPass account in good standing, with automatic replenishment, but I am struggling to reach a live customer service representative for assistance.

Hello. I've been experiencing issues with dropped calls while trying to contact. I recently purchased a car in NJ and moved from Long Island City NY to Mayfield NY. I was unaware that an EZ pass was included in the vehicle and that tolls no longer accepted cash payments, as I haven't owned a car in over 5 years. I discovered this during my move. Despite receiving messages that my payments were unsuccessful, I made repeated attempts resulting in double charges of $32.00 each, totaling $64.00. Due to the challenges posed by Covid-19, my credit card faced frequent declines and the NYEZPASS system would repeatedly remove my card from the database. Despite initially adding my card several times as the pandemic hit, the overwhelming stress and uncertainty made it difficult to keep track of. Residing in CT, my visits to family in NY for support often involved receiving groceries as I struggled financially. Unaware that my credit card was being removed, I continued using the system, resulting in toll violations separate from my E-ZPass balance. Despite clearing the negative balance upon discovery, I continued to receive violation notices, causing immense fear and frustration. Prior to the pandemic, my credit card was consistently on file and in good standing without E-ZPass issues. The ordeal has caused severe mental distress, exacerbated by facing nearly $[redacted] in fines due to late fees. Struggling to meet basic needs like car payments and food, I am in urgent need of assistance. I received a toll bill (number [redacted]4) on September 26, [redacted]. The vehicle in the picture is not ours, nor is the license plate. I provided evidence and a photo of our actual vehicle with the correct license plate. Despite this, on October 26, [redacted], I received another toll bill. Again, I submitted the necessary documentation showing our vehicle. Subsequently, on November 26, a notice of violation (number T[redacted]72-[redacted]) with threat of legal action for collection was received. In [redacted], I returned tags for two vehicles by mail. Despite this, I am continuously fined when passing through tolls as if I lack the proper tags. It is frustrating to be unable to speak with a person to resolve this issue. The license plates involved are JER4271 and JKT4792. I believe there should not be an active account linked to these plates. Since I returned the tags, I have no way of deactivating anything. I am unfamiliar with tolls and EXPASS, but I recently received a bill for $2.17, which I promptly paid by sending a paper check. However, I received a letter now asking for an additional $50, claiming I missed earlier letters. I have good credit and pay my bills promptly. I only received one letter before this, not two as stated. I tried calling multiple times but was on hold for nearly an hour each time, preventing me from speaking to anyone. I am eager to resolve the $2.17 charge and request the $50 fee be removed promptly. My work schedule keeps me busy every day, limiting my availability to address this matter promptly.

Yesterday (10/12), I tried accessing my account but forgot my password. The password reset feature didn't verify my info. I found a site to submit my issue. Today (10/13), someone from the thruway authority called. I briefly mentioned the forgotten password but mainly discussed changing my zip code since I moved. The person said it would prompt me to change the zip code once logged in, but that won't work if I can't change my password.

I am reaching out concerning the daily charges on my E-ZPass, which I believe are incorrect. I reside in Rockaway, Queens, NY, and have provided documentation to support this, indicating that I should not be charged for crossing the Cross Bay Bridge. I have previously discussed this matter and was advised that I was owed approximately $66-$67, which would be refunded to me by check. Regrettably, I have not yet received this reimbursement. Additionally, I was issued a tag to affix to my license plate to ensure smooth scanning, yet I am still being charged for tolls I should be exempt from.
