Our car was stolen and the E-ZPass tag taken with it. I've been trying to reach customer service, but the long wait times due to the pandemic have been incredibly frustrating. My account number is [redacted][redacted]. The car was stolen on June 29, [redacted]. It seems the thief used up all the funds in the account without concern. I usually maintain sufficient funds in my account, as you can see from my payment history. The only other time I couldn't return a tag was when my Honda CRV was totaled in an accident, and I couldn't retrieve it after the car was towed and junked. I want to reinstate my account and get a tag for our new used car. Despite the inconvenience, I believe the thief is responsible. We've been without a car since June 29, except for a rental from the insurance company for about two weeks. We only recently bought our new car, and dealing with the theft during the pandemic has made the process difficult with closed DMVs, temporary registration, unhelpful police, and insurance company delays.

I currently have an NJEZPass account that I wish to close. I have had the account for several years since the time it was managed by the Delaware River and Bay Authority before Virginia was part of the regional EZ-Pass network. As Virginia later joined, I no longer used the DRBA-issued tags. However, I no longer have the tags as I believe I returned them in Virginia many years ago. I would like to avoid any charges for not returning the tags and would appreciate it if NJEZPass could assist in closing my account, refunding any remaining balance, and waiving the non-return fees for the transponders.

To whom it may concern, I needed a change of scenery after months of being stuck at home due to Covid-19 and unemployment. On a drive to Tobyhanna, we ended up lost at the Delaware Water Gap, a place unfamiliar to me. We found a quiet spot at a picnic table before trying to navigate our way back home. Unknowingly, I drove into New Jersey and passed through an EZ Pass toll, receiving a statement later by mail. I sent a one-dollar check with a letter expressing my apologies for the wrong turn and offered to pay the toll but requested the dismissal of the $30 administration fee. Any assistance in resolving this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

On October 1st, while passing through Exit 7A near Hightstown, my EZ Pass transponder showed a "card not read" message. Concerned about a possible battery issue, I stopped at a plaza. Unfortunately, they stated there was no battery problem but the transponder wasn't responding. I avoided EZ Pass lanes after that and used the cash window instead. At another cash toll window, nobody was present, and a sign assured me I'd be contacted. I later spoke to a toll taker who suggested reporting the issue at the Delaware building, which was closed until 11 am that day. Worried about potential fines, as an EZ Pass owner for years, I wish to confirm if these incidents were recorded on my account. Despite trying to contact EZ Pass from the plaza, the system didn't recognize my input. My transponder number is G4*[redacted]5, my Florida license plate is BTBD43, and I was driving a [redacted] white Cadillac.

I recently received a credit collection notice claiming I owe $[redacted].10 to NJ EZpass. This is confusing because my EZpass is always replenished when it's low, ensuring it's functional at all times, especially at the Holland Tunnel tolls. I believe it's unfair to be charged for tolls that my EZpass should cover. My account number is [redacted]6, and I'm Sukhdev Masih. Kindly look into this matter and clarify why the EZpass didn't register in the locations specified in the notice. I'm unable to pay the $[redacted] when my EZpass works correctly elsewhere. Your assistance in disputing these charges and addressing this issue is appreciated.

We haven't owned an EZ Pass, and due to the Covid-19 closures, tolls became cashless. As essential workers, we used the cashless tolls during this time and received advisory payment requests later, which we promptly paid within the 30-day period. Recently, my husband received duplicate letters for invoices already paid, charged to a different license plate. Now, a collection agency is trying to collect over $2,[redacted] plus $1,[redacted] in administrative fees. After numerous phone calls, I finally reached a live person today. Despite requesting the removal of the fees, they stated they cannot intervene as it's already in collections. Upon insisting, I spoke to a supervisor named Tyrell, who was rude and abruptly hung up on me. I have spent several days trying to resolve this issue and I am appalled by the unprofessional behavior exhibited, especially by a supervisor.

I was charged three admin fees for one trip on the Golden State Turnpike for $10.70 in tolls. I had to pull over to call my friend who lives there because I got lost multiple times. The three bills arrived together, so I paid one admin fee along with the tolls. Subsequently, I received two more invoices demanding an additional $[redacted]. I am a member of TxTag in Texas, where non-members are only billed for the tolls, as I assumed New Jersey operated similarly. However, this does not seem to be the case. I am willing to pay the admin fee once, as per your state's regulations, but $[redacted] in admin fees for $10.70 in tolls seems excessive. I kindly request that the last two admin fees be waived. Thank you, Jerry R. Goodman.

I reside in Spokane, WA and recently received a toll infraction for my vehicle with license plate BOE [redacted]. Despite providing evidence to support my claim that my car was not involved, I have yet to receive any substantial proof from the authorities. I submitted my oil change receipt dated July 28, [redacted], showing the mileage as 8,[redacted], and a repair estimate from a body shop in Davenport, WA, indicating the mileage as 10,[redacted] on September 17, [redacted]. Considering the total mileage my car traveled during that period was 1,[redacted] miles, it's clear that it couldn't have made a trip from Spokane to New Jersey, which is 2,[redacted].1 miles one way, within that time frame. Therefore, it's impossible for my vehicle to have been in your state on August 27.

I received a bill alleging I owe a fine from 08-01-[redacted] when I returned to Kennedy International Airport. There was confusion at the toll booth on the I-80 bridge from NY to PA as there was no toll taker visible. I chose the non-EZPASS lane, assuming it was automated. After attempting to pay and receiving no clear answers, I disputed the toll and paid the legitimate one dollar toll. However, NJEZPASS cashed the check marked "paid in full." I am a PA resident and question why I received a bill from NJ EZPASS for a toll booth in PA that supposedly no longer has manned tolls. The lack of communication and handling of the situation during the pandemic has caused frustration. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue through various means, I received a letter from a collection agency dated 08-13-[redacted], which seems premature as there was no prior correspondence. I hope to get clarity on this matter soon and have involved my State representatives for assistance.

Regarding Violation # T[redacted]38-[redacted] and License SC QEZ946, as longstanding EZ Pass customers, we've ensured our account has sufficient funds. Unfortunately, my transponder's battery expired during my last journey, resulting in this violation notice. Despite multiple messages, such as the recent one with number 2-[redacted]2, I'm encountering difficulties resolving this. While prompted to click on the invoice violations box, the system indicates no matching records with the information I provide. The process required to rectify this matter has been incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. I'm perplexed why the straightforward option of deducting $6.65 from my account to resolve this violation promptly isn't being utilized. The current situation feels exasperating. Your prompt guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Email: [redacted]

Due to my husband's passing, I needed to create a new ez-pass account. I've settled all the violations. The fresh account under my name is equipped with funds linked to my credit card. Even though I don't have the new transponder yet, I plan to use the toll roads this week. I'm concerned whether driving through ez-pass lanes without the transponder will lead to violations. I've set up automatic toll replenishment with my credit card. Can the tolls be deducted from my account until the transponder arrives in around 10 days? Your guidance is appreciated. Thank you.

I recently passed through a toll in Somers Point, NJ on 8/29 without any toll takers present. As a FL resident, I sent $1.50 and submitted a dispute. Subsequently, I received a $50 fee request which I disputed. I spent hours on hold attempting to resolve this matter but got disconnected without speaking to anyone. Now, a collection agency is involved. If I had 6 quarters in the car at the time, this situation wouldn't have occurred. There were no toll takers due to Covid, and the lack of response over the phone due to Covid is unacceptable.

I received a notice for a delinquent toll payment violation during a period when my account had sufficient funds. My debit card had an issue, and I was given a new card. I forgot to update my information with EZ Pass. When I noticed the oversight, I promptly updated my details with PA EZ Pass. I mistakenly assumed the information would be updated across all EZ Pass systems. I'm seeking leniency for this violation as I had funds in my account, despite my mistaken assumption.

Dear EZPassNJ, I would like to report an incident that occurred after I exited the Holland Tunnel. I was unable to safely merge across lanes to reach the cash toll lanes on the far right due to the fast-moving traffic. Consequently, I accidentally passed through the EZPass lane instead of the intended cash toll lane. The $50 administrative fee seems quite steep, particularly given the current challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am willing to pay the missed toll of $1.90 and have evidence that I did not miss any other cash toll lanes that day on the Garden State Parkway. I kindly request that you consider waiving the administrative fee to assist me in this situation. Thank you, George Lacu

I recently returned from a trip to Arizona and upon arriving home in Elmont, New York, I received a notice for Violation T[redacted]68. I had previously sent EZ Pass a letter explaining that I had an outdated New York EZ Pass in my classic car which was mistakenly charged with New Jersey tolls. I received a letter stating I did not pay tolls in Bordentown, Trenton, and Metuchen. Today is the expiration date on the letter, and I've tried calling multiple times but the violation number isn't recognized. I am a retired and handicapped 77-year-old individual seeking assistance to resolve this issue. The total amount for the tolls is $6.70, and I've been an EZ Pass NY customer for over 35 years. Please credit the $6.70 to my EZ Pass account. This situation is stressful for both me and my wife, who is also 77 years old. I can provide my airplane ticket from Arizona if needed.

I have lost my sign-in information and have been struggling to access my account. Even though I provided a substantial amount of information, I couldn't get access due to missing certain details. I needed to transfer my EZPass transponder to a rental car for an emergency on a Saturday but couldn't find the tag number required for New Jersey EZ Pass. My name is Paul Pape from [redacted], NJ. The rental car has a Missouri license plate number VA2 A5P (note, the plate has a 5, not an S). The transponder is in the rental for ten days, but I am hesitant to use it without the tag number. I tried to resolve this on February 27th but couldn't find help online. The transponder number starts with [redacted], but that hasn't been helpful. I hope to reach out on Monday for assistance, as I want to avoid any violations. Thank you for addressing this issue promptly. Paul Pape.

I have been incorrectly billed for a toll that I did not go through. I usually pay using my EZ Pass tag numbers, but this time the charge was based on my "Early American" Connecticut license plate, which belongs to my [redacted] Ford Galaxie. However, this car has not been driven for at least a year; it seems the plate number was misread or belongs to a different vehicle class. I believe CT has issued the same number to various vehicle classes. I need help getting a credit for this charge, but the service center has long wait times, and the website does not provide a solution as no violation notice was issued.

I have three transponders, one of which belongs to NJ license plate B23JTL and is used by my son. It seems that this particular transponder is not consistently detected at the Barnegat toll plaza, resulting in repeated notices from EZpass. Despite instructing my son to slow down at the toll plaza, the issue persists. Interestingly, my son's girlfriend has also noticed a similar problem with her EZpass. Could this be an EZpass system error at the Barnegat toll plaza specifically? I would appreciate any advice on resolving this matter, as the transponder works perfectly at other toll plazas along the parkway. My EZpass account number is [redacted][redacted]. Thank you for your help. Kevin M. White

I am facing issues with my EZ Pass transponder not being detected, resulting in fines in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I am trying to resolve this by accessing the EZ Pass website to retrieve my latest statement as proof of having a functioning EZ Pass. However, I am unable to log in as it requires an account number, which I do not know, or a tag number, which seems not to be my license plate number or the transponder number. Despite trying various number combinations and my zip code, I have been unsuccessful in accessing the website. To make matters worse, I was left on hold by EZ Pass customer service for 32 minutes before being abruptly disconnected.

I recently purchased a [redacted] Lexus to replace our [redacted] Lexus. On 3/21/21, I took my wife to get her vaccination at the expo center and forgot to remove the EZ Pass tag from the center console to mount on the windshield. I have ordered new tape for this purpose. The violation number is T[redacted]65. We would appreciate any assistance you can provide.
