I was traveling through lane 13w at the Lincoln Tunnel/NJ 3/Secaucus interchange and received a $50 administrative fee along with my toll charge. Despite showing that I am not from NJ on my license plate, I unintentionally entered a lane that required cash payment. I explained my situation to the attendant as I only had $4 instead of the $13.85 toll fee. The attendant allowed me to pass and mentioned that a bill would be sent to me. I received a receipt stating that I would be billed, but no one informed me about the additional $50 administrative fee for not having enough cash. I would have willingly paid the toll if card payments were accepted, but being unprepared for the high toll amount, I was caught off guard by the fee. I believe the $50 charge is unjust as I was not given prior notice and would have paid the toll willingly.

I work as a Security Officer for South Brunswick Security and U.S. Security Associates. I typically drive to a job site on Newman Springs Road in Red Bank and have encountered issues with the EZ Pass lanes before. Earlier this year, I purchased a new car and traded in my [redacted] Honda CRV for a [redacted] CRV. Initially, I used my old PA plate, DCR7693, but was later required to switch to a new plate style. In April, I received a new PA plate, KSD7693, and replaced the old one. Recently, I've been receiving toll violation letters and fines. It turns out I needed to update my license plate number on my profile. I tried to delete the old plate online, but I couldn't update it to the new one due to toll violations associated with it. I received a violation notice for not paying toll on the Garden State Parkway due to an oversight when we got a new car and forgot to transfer our E-Z Pass medallion. My wife was battling breast cancer during this time. I assumed the toll would be deducted from our E-Z Pass account, but now a collection agency says we owe a $50 fine. I have encountered 3 unexpected charges due to a toll issue. I stopped at the toll booth and explained to the attendant that I didn't have cash, as I usually use a card to pay tolls where I'm from. I recently started a new job in Tinton Falls and commute from Paterson. The tolls on the Garden State Parkway and the ramp back home don't seem to be working properly. For example, this morning, I paid 75 cents (more than the required 50) to enter Tinton Falls, but it wasn't registering. I received a letter for one violation, but now it shows I have 5 out of 6 open violations, all happening this week. I always pay the tolls, and I suspect the issue might be due to how I approach the toll booth. I kindly request a review of these violations to waive the charges. I recently received a notice from New Jersey EZ Pass saying I owe fees, but I am unsure why. I was issued a violation when I had to use EZ Pass due to construction vehicles blocking access to the cash lane. I mentioned this in my response to the violation, explaining the difficult conditions with rain and fog that night. I paid the toll by check in November [redacted], which was cashed. We received a bill for the E-ZPass my husband used on the bridge. He had the new E-ZPass device you sent us placed on the dashboard. We assumed the toll amount would be deducted from our existing balance. However, during his first use, despite placing it correctly, there seems to be an error. We believe our accounts are active. I accidentally missed paying the $1.00 toll at the Trenton toll booth. I reached out when I got the initial notice, but they couldn't find any record linked to my license plate. Now, after a few months, the toll fee has increased to $30.00. I recently obtained an EZPass and tried activating it today. My tag is not being read at the tollbooths despite trying different positions. A few months back, an agent mentioned that the toll cameras would capture my license plate as a backup method due to tag reading issues on some vehicles. However, I recently received a letter informing me of excessive image transactions due to the tag not being detected in my car. They suggested confirming proper tag placement or replacing the tags.

I need to contact a human at NJ EZ Pass regarding a Violation Notice for an unpaid toll. I attempted to dispute it online but was unable to. I am a first-time driver in NJ, willing to pay tolls. At one toll booth, I received a ticket, then later at another booth, I paid the toll requested. I don't have any receipts or tickets. The toll due is $1.65, but they want to add a $50 Admin Fee. I do not have E-ZPass and have been using the Garden State Parkway daily for 30 years. My concern is that some on/off ramps do not have attendants at the cash lanes, causing issues with payment. Even when I have exact change, using coins other than quarters often does not register as paid. I attempt to pay either through exact change or cash receipt lanes. To improve this, attendants should be present at all times. At the Tom's River toll entrance, changes have been made with an attendant always present and the removal of the exact change lane. This seems to be the only location with consistent staffing. Due to factors beyond my control, I've faced collection issues. I request to be removed from collections as it is challenging to keep up with expenses in this state.

Living in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, I seldom drive, especially given the current circumstances imposed by the pandemic. Given the limited opportunities for work and the need to alleviate the monotony, we ventured out for a drive up the mountains. However, we took a wrong turn that led us astray. The traffic and pace proved challenging, hindering my ability to maneuver safely.
