Hello, my name is Stephanie Redd. I had scheduled to end the service at [redacted] Adamson Street on June 2nd. However, I received a bill dated for services until June 12. I have already paid the bill, but I want to confirm that I am not still being billed for service that was supposed to be disconnected on June 2nd.
I would appreciate it if you could investigate this issue and provide me with an update.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am interested in getting a GenerLink Meter Mounted transfer switch to connect my generator during power outages. However, Virginia Dominion Power has informed me that they do not permit devices behind the meter base. This conflicts with information I came across in an article that indicated they might start offering them. I am aware that transfer switches are commonly used with solar power systems and whole house generators, so I am curious about the reasoning behind this restriction. What sets the GenerLink switch apart from these other setups that makes it prohibited by Virginia Dominion Power?

I am seeking assistance with my bill, which currently exceeds $[redacted]. After experiencing some health challenges and financial setbacks, my family and I fell behind on payments. Due to personal injuries, the pandemic, and work disruptions, we struggled to catch up. Our finances were impacted further when my wife faced medical emergencies, requiring hospitalization. This series of unfortunate events has made it difficult for us to meet our financial obligations, including rent and utilities. We are fully committed to resolving these issues and kindly request your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time. Your help in finding a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Jim C. N.

I need assistance with my bill that is over $[redacted]. I was unable to make payments due to unforeseen circumstances, starting with an accident in February [redacted], followed by the impact of Covid-19 on my job as a maintenance worker for a contractor. Despite eventually finding work at Home Depot in November [redacted], additional setbacks occurred, including a quarantine period without pay due to a Covid-19 exposure and multiple hospitalizations in early [redacted] for myself, my wife, and my daughter. These health issues have led to financial strain, making it difficult to cover rent and utilities. Any assistance in renegotiating a payment plan would be greatly appreciated as we navigate these challenging times. Thank you for your understanding.

I was unable to make payments due to several unfortunate events, including an accident, recovering from injuries, COVID-19 affecting work, and family members being hospitalized. I am in the process of purchasing a 5-acre parcel, with the closing currently scheduled for November 16th. The power is accessible at the front of the property via overhead lines, with a utility pole positioned approximately at the center of the front property line.
I will require electrical service for both a residence and agricultural structures on the property. I am interested in installing a [redacted] Amp service. Could you please provide me with an estimate for establishing this new service? I am also wondering if Dominion will supply the CT cabinet required, or if this is something that I need to provide for them to connect a CT base? Additionally, how many taps are permitted from a CT cabinet provided by Dominion?
Lastly, I would like to know if a pad CT cabinet is acceptable, or if a wall mount is necessary.
Best regards,
C.S.

In Dinwiddie County, there are still tree branches near power lines since the last winter ice storm. When I contact South-side Energy, they indicate it's Virginia Power's area, and Virginia Power says the same. As a Dinwiddie County citizens' advocate, I'm looking for a list or map detailing the power line routes under Virginia Power's responsibility in the county.

I am facing the same issue as the previous commenter. I reside in Mount Vernon, Virginia, and experience power outages almost daily. Without any apparent reason, I return home to find the stove clock flashing or the power going out consistently around 6 or 6:30 AM. Despite making complaints and filing for reimbursement for damages to my $[redacted] Mac computer, washing machine, and barely two-year-old refrigerator, I have not received any compensation as promised. I have replaced all my appliances, yet the daily outages persist. This morning’s outage was blamed on a faulty circuit on the Dominion line in the neighborhood, which is not my or my neighbors’ responsibility but the company's. If my appliances are damaged again, I am considering legal action against them.

Subject: Account Discrepancy
I am contacting you regarding my previous account with your company, Account Number [redacted][redacted]. This account was closed over a year ago when I moved out of [redacted] Riverside Heights Way, Richmond, VA [redacted]. It was settled in full, and there has been a zero balance on this account for the past year and a half.
Recently, I received a bill with a due date of May 18, [redacted], even though I no longer reside at that address. The billing information seems to be inaccurately connected to me. I am requesting the immediate disassociation of my name from the electricity service at that residence.
Kindly investigate and rectify this error promptly. Please confirm in writing via email within the next few business days that I am no longer linked to the bill and that no further invoices will be sent to me for this address. I have informed the property owner, Sara Maslyn, of this issue as well.
Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.
Best regards,
Tori Miller

I need to share my situation as I am facing a potential electricity service disconnection. My scheduled cut off is on Sunday due to an outstanding balance of $[redacted].00, which I can only pay on Wednesday, the 26th. I am reliant on my social security check for payment. At nearly 80 years old, I require a C-pap machine for sleeping, as does my 55-year-old disabled daughter who lives with me. I've faced recent financial challenges, including increased rent and medical expenses. Despite efforts to seek aid from various sources, I have not been successful. I am seeking assistance from my church community. Any possible extension of the payment deadline till Wednesday would be greatly appreciated to avoid disruption in services crucial for our health. If this forum is not the appropriate channel, please redirect my message accordingly. Your understanding and support are invaluable during this difficult time. Thank you for your consideration. Best regards, Shirley Solomon Parrish.

I am experiencing issues with low voltage, linemen, and reverse polarity in various locations in Michigan and Virginia. This situation involves electrical components and has impacted me, Daniel Allen Everett. I have encountered an unexpected shock and need assistance regarding possible electrocution attempts. The incident has caused injuries, and I have evidence of the burns I sustained. My concern is urgent, and I seek guidance on how to address this serious matter promptly.

I reside in Bremo Bluff and need to speak with a representative regarding the damage caused to my yard by the constant stream of dump trucks heading to and from the Bremo Bluff power plant demolition. The trucks are disregarding the 25mph speed limit, speeding through the area at around 40mph. As my house is just 12 feet from the highway, this poses a significant risk. The narrow road does not allow two trucks to pass each other without encroaching on my property, creating a muddy mess exacerbated by rainy conditions. I have spent countless hours maintaining the area between the road and my yard, which has now been ruined. The project foreman must address the impact of this heavy traffic on our community promptly to find a resolution.

I have a bill with Dom Power and unfortunately missed the payment deadline, resulting in a disconnection scheduled for April 12 at 5 p.m. Despite requesting a one-day extension, it was denied. There is a 6-week-old baby in our household who relies on electricity for care. I am committed to settling the $[redacted].00 bill by Friday, April 14, and kindly ask for an extension to that date due to this urgent situation. Your understanding and consideration are greatly appreciated. Please inform me of your decision promptly.
Thank you,

I have been trying to contact someone to pay my bill for several months with no success. Both the online and phone systems seem to be broken, and I can't find any explanation or resolution. Is there a more reliable phone number where I can speak to a person or pay my bill? I'm concerned about whether they are trying to address these ongoing system problems. Lastly, given the company's prominent position, is there an authority I could report these issues to in order to prompt them to address the problems? Thank you.

On August 2nd, there was a power line down on Route 20, approximately 4 miles north of its intersection with [redacted]. The road was blocked about 2.5 miles up, causing around [redacted] cars to make U-turns near a small intersection during the evening rush hour. Most vehicles had to back up multiple times, especially larger ones with trailers needing up to 5 maneuvers. Drivers were frustrated by the inefficient roadblock placement and wasted over two miles of time. It would have been more sensible to stop traffic a mile south where the road was wider, allowing for easier U-turns or a detour. The decision-making of the personnel handling the situation was highly criticized for not considering a more practical solution.
