I reside at [redacted] Seward Street Apt 1E, Detroit, [redacted]. We moved in on January 1 from South Africa. I contacted DTE in December as advised by our apartment manager. I provided my details to a representative who requested our meter number, which I supplied the next day. Despite this, I have not received a bill from DTE. I have informed my apartment manager multiple times about this issue. Recently, I also mentioned it to my landlord, Mr. Grover Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy instructed me to reach out to DTE. When I called, there was a lengthy hold time, prompting me to seek assistance online. Thank you. Sincerely, Rodney L.

I have been residing in Auburn Hills for quite a while now and I have noticed a significant issue with the electrical system. Power outages are unfortunately a common occurrence, happening almost daily and lasting anywhere from a few seconds to several hours. Despite reporting the problem to Detroit Edison, they do not acknowledge the issue unless it shows up in their system. Their offer of a $25 credit after five days of outage does not cover the losses incurred, especially on food. I believe that instead of temporary fixes, a more permanent solution could have been implemented by now. Recurrent outages, even during good weather conditions, persist, primarily in the same area near the end of the street. My experience with electrical problems has been unique to Auburn Hills, and I advise potential residents to reconsider moving here unless they are prepared with a generator or if a different maintenance company takes over the electrical system.

I'm Deborah M. from Commerce, MI. Yesterday after 4 pm, I received a call about a delinquent payment. Though I paid it promptly, it turned out there was a duplicate payment made by my daughter the night before. When I tried to cancel the extra payment, I was informed they couldn't cancel after 2 pm, despite my call being after 4 pm. I spoke with two supervisors named Patricia and Mrs. Sanders. I then contacted my bank who couldn't stop the payment. Feeling misled, I contacted corporate to address the poor customer service. This morning, the original payment was processed. After speaking to Sabrina at DTE, the second payment was finally cancelled. Lack of customer value from supervisors caused unnecessary stress during my anniversary trip. I believe flexibility and empathy are crucial in customer service, a lesson from my own work in healthcare.

I am extremely disappointed with DTE Energy! They were supposed to pick up our old refrigerator on July 10, [redacted], but they never showed up. Despite being just 3 miles away and even calling us for directions, they decided to skip our stop. Now, we are told we have to wait until August 13th for a pick-up. This is unacceptable as my 77-year-old husband now has to move the heavy fridge back to the garage. The lack of follow-through and communication by DTE Energy and their staff is truly frustrating. Thank you, Charlene (David) Brooks.

After calling four different numbers, I finally reached the transformer issue troubleshooting desk. However, it was fully automated with no access to a representative. I reported a lightning strike on the pole/transformer in front of my house, causing the breaker to be open. After a few more calls, I spoke to a human who noted the issue for the technician. I received a call stating that my outage was fixed, but in reality, the breaker was still off. I called again and despite being told it was repaired, the power was still out. I requested the crew to confirm with me before leaving, but later was informed that power was restored when it wasn't. Throughout this process, I didn't see any Edison crew or vehicle in the area.
