DESA International Customer Service Issues

Hello, I have a Model VMH10TNB/EFS10TN fireplace running on natural gas. Last winter, after moving in on July 1, [redacted], it worked well until the end of the season when I noticed it struggling to ignite. It would take much longer than usual after the gas started hissing for it to come on. I even manually shut it off the last time it happened. Hello, We recently moved into our new house and discovered that the gas fireplace is not wired properly, making it necessary to use an external outlet instead of the internal one. In addition, we are missing the remote control to operate the fireplace. After a visit from the gas company technician, we were informed about battery-operated converters or inverters that can be used to light the fireplace. I own a Desa Gas Fireplace CHDVNR. The remote I have doesn't match the one in the manual. I can turn the fireplace on/off but can't adjust the flame size. My remote has buttons for On/Off/Auto and temperature control. I believe this should adjust the flame level. The only info in the battery compartment is "For Assistance call 1-[redacted] or www.trackingtech.com."
