I am frustrated with the service. I am unable to receive alerts to opportunities, and I refuse to pay for another background check as I have undergone eight checks in varied states for licensing in recent months. If you are withholding information to push me to pay more, please be transparent. Missing out on job applications due to issues with my photo submission not meeting your undisclosed criteria is unacceptable. Please provide clarity on your expectations to avoid wasting time and missing out on potential positions.

Hello, I am reaching out because I received a review on my profile last year from Lauren, giving me 3.5 stars. I would like to discuss having it removed. Lauren was a challenging employer, often late waking up for work, underpaying me by $75 or more a week, and not fulfilling promises such as gas money. Moreover, her children mistreated me despite my efforts to connect with them. I decided to resign after she informed me about her children's sudden absence for two weeks, with short notice that it would be unpaid. I recently received an email stating my original account was terminated. I had paid for a background check and was starting to get responses when this occurred. The email connected to the original account was [redacted] However, I couldn't access that account, so I created a new one on 7-23-[redacted], using gaitree.m68. I re-purchased a background check for this new account. To my surprise, I received another email saying this account was also terminated. I have been using the site for months and have been satisfied with the outcomes. Care.com surpasses other similar sites like urban sitter and sitter.com. I find Care.com to be the most beneficial, safe, and comfortable to use. I truly value this platform and wish to remain a member to continue my job search. Your prompt assistance to resolve this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. I eagerly await your response.

I have been using this website for several months now, and I have been very happy with it. Around a week or two ago, I paid for a background check and was having positive responses from families looking for a nanny or babysitter in my area. My original email address was [redacted] with the password childcare.1. On 7/23/18, I was unable to log in to my account to search for jobs, which was surprising. I contacted computer [redacted], and even with the technician's assistance, we couldn't resolve the issue. A new email account was created, [redacted], with the password Babysitting.1. Another background check was conducted on this account on 7/23/18 in hopes of reapplying for jobs. On 7/24/18, I encountered the same login problems and was unable to access the site. I also received an email stating that my account had been terminated by Care.com. This site means a lot to me, and I need help to regain access as soon as possible as I am looking for employment opportunities. Thank you.

I need to address a concerning situation with my former babysitter, Emily Amaro. Unfortunately, I had to let her go after observing neglectful behavior on Monday, July 23, [redacted]. My cameras captured her leaving my 8-month-old daughter unattended in various rooms without supervision. I was compelled to text my 14-year-old to look after the baby as Emily was absent for periods of time. To my distress, my infant was left in potentially unsafe situations, resulting in her getting hurt while Emily was out of sight. Despite discussing my concerns with Emily, the same behavior reoccurred the next day, leading me to terminate her services. I want to share this experience on care.com to prevent any similar incidents from happening to other families.

I worked for a client from care.com for two weeks. She paid me through the care.com payment center, but now she has been removed from the platform. I asked her about it, and she claims she doesn't know why she was removed. She showed me a screenshot of the payment she made from her bank. She is confused why I haven't received the payment and why it hasn't been returned to her account. If I had set up my account before her removal, would I have been paid? Hello. I had to stop working as a nanny for a woman named Michele because of a medical issue with my back. I was advised to take the summer off to recover before starting my job in September. Two weeks ago, on the day I left, which was when I was supposed to be paid, Michele suddenly mentioned that she couldn't pay me for the three days I worked. We had agreed on $15 per hour, and I looked after her son for three days, 5 hours each day. Michele promised to send me the $[redacted] she owes me by the end of July. However, it's now the end of July, and she's been ignoring my texts. I'm worried she won't pay me because she and her husband weren't understanding about my medical situation and our parting wasn't amicable. I wish to stop receiving messages from a caregiver I interacted with named Hayley S from Naperville, IL via text and email. She recently messaged me about possible suspension for leaving a review. She requested reviews for sitters and nannies, so I provided feedback based on my experience. Hayley canceled our meeting 15 minutes beforehand after confirming, which I found unreliable considering my work schedule. I harbor no ill feelings, but I do not wish to receive further threats or messages from her. I've used your service for years and recommended it without issues until now. I initially understood that the subscription was set to be billed quarterly, including background checks. However, I was surprised to see additional charges for the checks, resulting in a higher subscription cost than expected. In [redacted], I utilized Care.com to hire a nanny. Subsequently, I closed my account as I no longer required their services. Recently, on July 25, [redacted], upon trying to close an old credit card, I discovered I have been continuously charged $39.99 monthly since [redacted] without my consent. I never received any notifications regarding these charges through email or mail from Care.com. As a result, I accessed my old account, canceled it on July 25, and request confirmation of its closure. I am seeking a refund of the monthly fees debited from January [redacted] to July [redacted]. As a paying member searching for a babysitter for my daughter starting school next week, I am extremely frustrated that my account was closed without any explanation. I had 6 applicants and now I cannot communicate with them. When I called customer service, they were unhelpful and would not explain why my account was closed. They refused a refund and denied access to my messages. This situation has left me in a terrible position as we urgently need child care. I am dissatisfied with the lack of in-person customer service support on care.com. The website is challenging to navigate due to the limited information available. I am unclear on the payment process and how the client can access my driving record report as I upgraded to premium. I need guidance on how to cancel my membership prior to the one-month mark. I encountered an issue with Care.com's website while trying to process a background check at the request of another individual without any cost to me. Upon clicking the alert from Care.com, I was directed to a page prompting me to input my information for the background check. Despite the statement at the top indicating the background check was at no cost to me, I was ultimately charged $59 for the service. I believe that the website's error led to this charge, and despite reaching out to their communication team, I have not made any progress in obtaining a refund. It is crucial for Care.com to rectify this situation by providing refunds to customers affected by such errors. This experience has unfortunately led me to reconsider my opinion of the company, as I previously held them in high regard but now question their commitment to customer care.

I signed up for a three-month subscription, but I have been charged three times instead of once as agreed upon. I just noticed this when paying my AMEX bill. Each charge was for $84.92. I am happy with the service as I found a nanny through your site, but I request a refund for the two extra charges I did not authorize. The charges on my AMEX bill are dated Jan. 29, [redacted], April 29, [redacted], and July 29, [redacted]. I have no issue with the first charge, but I need refunds for the other two. Please contact me via email with details on the refund process, as I have not been successful reaching anyone by phone. I applied for a job advertised from 6 pm to midnight, but the actual hours turned out to be from 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm, sometimes as late as 9 pm, to care for a premature 5-month-old baby. I agreed to the altered schedule if they brought the baby to me, based on the employer's route to work. Despite requesting $5 per hour pay decrease, the employer initially sent me $60, mentioned a relative helping for free, and the job still lists $10/hr. With 40 years of experience, including in hospitals, I accepted the job at $5. The employer promised to correct the job details through her mother, but it hasn't been updated. This is the third misrepresented job after applying through Care.com, which is frustrating as I always disclose the truth but don't receive the same honesty in return.

I responded to a babysitting ad and the person asked me to email them at [redacted] as they were closing their care.com account. They offered me a PA job until they returned from Canada in 3 weeks, promising a future nanny/childminding position with double the pay. They requested my address and bank details for the PA role, but I did not provide them.
