I mistakenly booked a car rental for 5/22-29/[redacted] instead of the needed dates of 5/29-6/5/[redacted]. The confirmation number is [redacted] with Carrental.com number CRV[redacted]. The rental is from Detroit Metro, prepayment was $[redacted].46 under the name Joseph Forkey. After struggling to reach Priceless Car Rental, I finally spoke to an agent today. Despite previous attempts to change the dates through calls and emails with no response, I now seek help through this email. I require a car for the correct period of 5/29 - 6/5/[redacted]. I booked a car rental from Fox via rentalcars.com, but encountered an issue at pick-up due to my expired driver's license. Unfortunately, Fox did not honor the reservation. Despite my attempts to reach out for help, contacting carrentals.com has been challenging, with long wait times on the phone. Only after booking did I realize that carrentals.com does not offer refunds or allow changes under any circumstances, which I find deceptive. I hope to resolve this matter, as the current situation is unfair to customers who trust the service. If this issue remains unresolved, I plan to inform others to prevent similar experiences with carrentals.com.

Subject: Issue with Car Rental Booking Ref.[redacted] Good morning, I am writing regarding the car rental booking we made through your agency under reservation number [redacted] for Olivier Saya. Upon arrival at Gold Coast airport, we were surprised to be charged [redacted] Australian dollars for returning the car to a different location. This fee was not disclosed to us at any point during the booking process. We had no choice but to pay this unexpected charge to avoid disrupting our vacation. We request a prompt refund of the additional fee charged due to lack of information and breach of the agreed conditions. If the refund is not processed, we will explore legal options and involve the relevant consumer protection agencies. Hello, I prepaid for a reservation (#J[redacted]), but at the Dollar counter at Orlando airport, I was unable to pick up the car due to an expired driver's license. I was directed to seek a refund and was advised by DOLLAR THRIFTY representatives to contact carrentals.com since I prepaid through them. I prepaid for a reservation (#J[redacted]) and was denied when I tried to pick up the car because my driver's license was expired. Dollar Thrifty suggested I contact carrentals.com for a refund. They assured me they are okay with the refund. Can you assist in processing the refund for the unclaimed car rental, please? Thanks and happy holidays!

I booked a car through carrentals.com and used my credit card for payment. Upon arrival at Fox Rent a Car to pick up the car, I encountered an issue with covering the underage fees with my credit card. Although I had paid around $[redacted] for the car rental weeks prior, my card declined due to the higher underage fees surpassing the car rental cost. Consequently, my girlfriend had to rent a separate car due to this setback. Fox Rent a Car assured me of a refund for the original booking. I was provided with a number, DEN-[redacted], by the Fox Rent a Car staff to give to carrentals.com in order to facilitate the refund process.

I made a reservation through your company for a rental car with Routes Car Rentals at Vancouver International Airport. My confirmation code is LRTP00493F, for February 21, [redacted], at 4:08 PM, with a rental period from February 23 to February 28. Despite declining insurance coverage because of my ICBC coverage, I was asked for proof upon arrival and was unable to rent due to being over 74. After finding negative reviews of Routes, I switched to Low Cost Car Rentals, who offered excellent customer service. My prepaid reservation through carrentals.com was non-refundable, but there was no mention of the age limit of 74. I request a full refund and a prompt response. I've used your website without issues before, but I recommend reconsidering your partnership with Routes.

Dear Representative, Due to Covid-19 concerns and being part of the vulnerable elderly group with health issues, my spouse and I have decided to refrain from traveling. Our daughter is also unwell with a severe medical condition, necessitating our presence to care for her during her recovery. We have successfully canceled our non-refundable reservation with Hotel.com and now seek assistance in canceling our CarRentals.com booking with Sixt under reservation #[redacted]. I made a reservation for a rental car with Routes Rentals in Atlanta, Georgia on Sullivan Road. When I arrived early for pickup, they informed me they only rent to out-of-state residents. I cancelled before my pickup time but am struggling to get my refund, which I desperately need. The first customer service representative was rude and unhelpful, but the second representative was kind and suggested alternative rental options. I hope to receive my refund as promised in 7 to 10 days. This experience has been extremely frustrating, especially considering I needed the car for work due to my truck breaking down. I rented a car through rental cars.com for $[redacted].75 in Las Vegas, NV for 9 days. Upon pickup, I was charged an additional $32.60 for being 15 minutes late, which I dispute as I arrived close to my reservation time. Additionally, when returning the car in Denver on August 2nd at 10:57pm, I was charged $50 for an after-hours drop-off, despite there not being any secure way to return it at the location. I believe I should be refunded these charges as it was not my fault there were no provisions for after-hours returns. My claim reference number is [redacted]9. Last week, I rented a car from carrentals.com. Upon arrival, the Hertz counter was closed, so I was redirected to another rental counter. I presented my VISA credit card to obtain the car, but they refused it because it was not the appropriate type of credit card. Consequently, I was unable to rent a car and had to find alternative transportation. Despite contacting them multiple times, all I received was the claim number. I rented a Chevy Suburban on July 15 for a price quoted at $[redacted] for a rental period from December 26 to January 4. When I tried to extend the rental and confirm the car, the Thrifty representative informed me that the location would be closed on Saturday, and I couldn't get the car until Monday. However, I urgently need the car by Saturday. Upon attempting to change the location, the price escalated to over $[redacted]. I require a large SUV for pick-up on December 26. I need to cancel my reservation due to changes in my travel plans. However, I have been unsuccessful in doing so as the system shows an error message saying, "Sorry, your reservation could not be canceled. Please try again later." It has been three days of attempting to cancel without success. Can someone from the company please reach out to me via phone or email to assist with canceling my booking? I made a reservation with Carrentals.com for a car rental in Cancun, Mexico through Firefly. The total charge was $[redacted].70, which was supposed to include coverage of [redacted],[redacted] Mexican pesos. Based on Carrentals.com's recommendation, I purchased an extra insurance policy for $[redacted].00. I confirmed with Carrentals.com that this would be sufficient insurance for Mexico. However, upon arrival in Mexico, Firefly insisted on an additional policy costing $[redacted].01. Despite my specific inquiry to Carrentals.com about the insurance coverage, I was reassured that the $[redacted].70 charge along with the $[redacted] supplemental insurance was all that was needed in Mexico. To my surprise, Firefly demanded $[redacted].71, claiming I required more insurance. Since you are the US representative for Firefly, I am seeking a refund of the $[redacted].01 charged for the unnecessary insurance in Mexico. Thank you.

I made a reservation for a rental car on 02-06-[redacted] at [redacted] West Cayuga St. Tampa, FL. When I made the reservation, the person asked about my insurance, to which I responded that I have coverage through State Farm for rental vehicles. Upon pickup, I was told I needed $[redacted],[redacted] coverage, which was new to me after 45 years of renting cars. After confirming with State Farm that I only have $[redacted],[redacted] coverage, I canceled and rented from Avis without insurance complications. Despite trying twice to get my $[redacted].00 refund, I haven't received a return call. The email I received mentioned the refund would not be processed due to fine print on the contract, but I can't locate where the insurance requirements were specified online. I needed to reschedule my flight to Playa del Carmen by one day, from April 1st to April 2nd. I would like to keep my booking and am willing to pay the entire original quote; I just won't require the car until the second. I'm traveling with my dog to my property there, and the airline stated that the plane I initially selected couldn't accommodate my pet, hence the date change. The booking is under the last name Fratarcangeli. I hope this adjustment is manageable. Thank you for your assistance. Can you please confirm that picking up the car the next day is acceptable?

Hello everyone, I'm encountering some issues with picking up a car reserved with Dollar. I hold a Texas driver's license that expired two weeks ago. In Texas, an expired license remains valid for two years after the expiration date, but Dollar's system does not recognize this law, so they are refusing to rent me the car I've already paid for due to the expired license. I attempted to pick up the car yesterday, but my flight was delayed until after midnight. Dollar said I could still collect the car in Birmingham after midnight, but upon arrival, I waited for two hours in line at the airport with Hertz Dollar pickup, only to discover Dollar's strict rules regarding expired licenses. I am hoping to either receive a refund or arrange for a rental car promptly. Thank you.
