I bought an ink printer cartridge [redacted] from Walmart. After installing it in my Pixma MG2522, my printer displays an error stating it's not recognized. When I contacted Walmart in Burlington, N.J., they mentioned I need to reach out to the manufacturer since the package was opened. However, opening the package is essential to install the cartridge. Interestingly, my old cartridge works fine, and a new one from Target is also functioning well. It seems the [redacted] cartridge I got from Walmart is faulty. I hope they can exchange it for a working one. It's puzzling why Walmart is not cooperating, especially since there are no visible signs indicating final sales or no returns on Canon products. I'm hopeful that they can resolve this as $15 means a lot to me. I feel disappointed as a loyal customer spending approximately $[redacted] weekly. I appreciate any assistance in exchanging the defective cartridge. Thank you, Rick.

Around two weeks ago, I emailed Canon regarding my issue with the smearing ink from Canon [redacted] & 246XL Ink cartridges when handling printed photos. Despite no response from Canon, when I replaced the cartridges last week in my TR4520 printer, I encountered ink smears in the area, possibly inside as well. In the past, I used generic ink without any smudging on my MG6620 printer, which I had before the TR4520. I had no problems printing hundreds of photos for my memory and scrapbooks, but now with Canon's ink, the smudging is noticeable. Even after reaching out to the paper vendor about this issue, I suspect it might be related to the cartridges. I may send Canon the photo evidence of the smeared ink for their review.

I bought an ink printer cartridge from Walmart. When I tried to use it in my Pixma MG printer, it wouldn't work and gave an error saying it's not recognized. Walmart in Burlington, N.J. told me to contact the manufacturer because the package was opened, but you need to open it to install it. I tested my old cartridge and another one from Target, and they both work fine. The Walmart cartridge seems defective. I hope they can exchange it for a new one. I don't understand why they won't help me; there are no signs indicating final sales or no returns on Canon products. I spent a good amount of money there weekly and feel disappointed. I am just looking for a replacement. Thank you. - Rick

I own a Canon Pixma MG6821 printer that suddenly stopped working midway through a print job. The display was blank, showing no error messages, and pressing the power button didn't bring it back to life. Despite multiple attempts to restart by unplugging it for intervals and rebooting the computer, it still wouldn't respond. I've tried to perform a reset sequence as suggested, but as the screen remains unresponsive due to lack of power, I'm unable to carry it out. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

After replacing both ink cartridges, my printer stopped functioning during its last use. The printer, a Canon MG [redacted], is less than six months old, replacing a previous non-functioning unit of the same model. Following the cartridge replacement, I reactivated the printer by sending a print job from my Dell computer running Windows 10. It unexpectedly began printing a 3-page letter and continued to print 3 copies before I managed to stop it. However, after making some revisions to the letter and attempting to print again, the printer refused to respond. Despite trying various troubleshooting steps, including disconnecting and reconnecting the printer, the issue persists. Strangely, the power light continues blinking even when the printer is unplugged, and the print cartridge tray remains stuck on the right side.

I have a Canon Pixma MX490 printer. Some ink leaked, and I cleaned it up, but there's a thin white paper-like strip with magenta ink on it that I haven't cleaned. When I print the nozzle check, there are strange lines. I'm unsure if I need to replace the ink cartridge or if there's an issue with the printer.

A friend has given me a Canon Ultrasonic 20-105mm f/3.5-4.5 lens to sell, and I've noticed something unusual about it. Despite being in good condition and well-maintained, the lens does not have the usual markings indicating the aperture range. Upon closer inspection, there appears to be a hard black residue resembling chocolate or putty where the markings should be. I am perplexed as to why the white Canon lettering indicating the aperture range is missing from the lens entirely. I need to sell it, but this issue is causing me some concern.

After upgrading my Mac to Catalina, my PIXMA TS9020 is now printing but encountering an error during scanning. I have followed the instructions to reinstall the printer software, restarted both the printer and my Mac multiple times, but the issue persists. Attempting to contact by phone failed to recognize my number. I require assistance to restore scanning functionality. The device is only 2 years old. It would be convenient if Canon could reach out via phone, understanding that Catalina's enhanced security might be affecting various functions due to permission restrictions. I believe addressing this permission issue could benefit others facing similar challenges with their devices.

I recently obtained a Pixma MG5220, but it was missing the ink tanks upon setup. The manual warns against leaving the ink tanks out. I'm concerned about potential damage from storing the printer unused without them. Also, I plan to use the printer solely for black ink text documents. Can I install a black cartridge only and operate the printer without the color and photo black cartridges?

I traveled from the north to Florida for the winter with my PIXMA [redacted] tank printer. The ink tanks are halfway full. During the journey, the printer was safely wrapped in a blanket and was functioning well in Ohio. However, upon reaching Florida and setting up my iMac 21.5, I encountered issues. After connecting the printer and turning it on, the green and amber lights blinked while the blue light stayed steady. Although the printer powered on, it failed to print. I checked the printer cable, but the problem persisted. When trying to contact [redacted] for support, I experienced difficulties. For further assistance, please reach out to me at [redacted] Thank you.

After updating my iMac to the Big Sur operating system, I encountered an issue with my PIXMA MX492 printer driver. Despite downloading the Big Sur driver from your website and running it three times, the driver does not appear to be on my computer. I've checked the Printers folder in the Library as well. When I revisited your download page, it recommended using the old drivers, but I couldn't download them as the buttons were unresponsive. I value my PIXMA MX492 printer but am considering replacing it if I can't resolve this update issue. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Dear Sir,
I recently bought a Canon XXL [redacted] PGBK cartridge from Amazon. The listing stated it was compatible with my PIXMA MX [redacted] printer. However, after installing the cartridge, my printer stopped working due to an incorrect printer head error. Despite following Canon's troubleshooting advice, the issue persists. Research revealed that the XXL cartridge may not fit the PIXMA [redacted] as expected. Consequently, I could not reach Canon's customer support due to phone number identification problems. I am seeking guidance on troubleshooting my printer or having it repaired or replaced by Canon.

I bought a Canon XXL [redacted] PGBK cartridge for my PIXMA MX [redacted] from Amazon on 11/12/20. Despite the listing ensuring compatibility, upon installation on 11/30/20, the printer displayed an error message about an incorrect printer head. I followed Canon's troubleshooting steps, reseated the printer head, and tried to contact them without success due to phone recognition issues. Research revealed other customers' complaints about the cartridge not fitting the PIXMA [redacted]. Amazon agreed to refund me, but I hold Canon accountable for the printer issues. I seek advice on fixing the printer, or if unsuccessful, request Canon to repair or replace it.

I am considering purchasing a new Canon printer to accommodate my existing compatible inks. I have been informed that Canon does not block the use of third-party inks. Can you recommend a budget-friendly printer in the $40 price range that is compatible with 150XL or 250XL inks? I only print occasionally, such as tickets, receipts, documents, and a few pictures every few months. I want to make sure the model I choose will continue to be supported in the future. Thank you for your assistance. - Nancy H.

I've recently purchased two items from Canon's online store and am looking to initiate a return. My order number is [redacted]22, and the products are a Canon backpack (SKU: 6229A003BA) and a camera (SKU: 3611C011AA). Canon requires an RMA number for the return process, but obtaining one online seems challenging. I dialed 1-[redacted], experienced a long wait time, finally got through to a representative who attempted to transfer me to the return team, but unfortunately, the call disconnected. Could you kindly assist me in obtaining the RMA number and shipping label necessary for me to return these items to Canon?

I am experiencing an issue with my Canon EOS R5 where it is stuck in Video Mode and I am unable to switch to other still modes such as Manual, Aperture Priority, and Shutter Priority. This has happened twice now, despite the camera being only four months old. The last time I was able to resolve it was by doing a complete camera reset, but this time it is not working and only Video Mode is accessible. I urgently need assistance as the camera is unusable in this state. Thank you, Pete Hogenson.

I placed an order for a PIXMA G3260 on Dec 15, [redacted], from the Canon website where it showed as in stock. I have received the ink but not the printer. Canon informed me that the printer is on backorder without giving any estimated time for delivery. I feel misled and wish I had known about the backorder before placing my order, as I needed the printer within the stated delivery time. Unfortunately, that time has now passed. My order number is [redacted]78, and my zip code is [redacted].

I have a Canon MG5720 printer that started printing smeared horizontal lines. I cleaned the encoder, but now it prints blank sheets. I have tried cleaning and deep cleaning, which resulted in very light and spotty printing. Even after cleaning the print head, there was no improvement. The print nozzle check pattern shows missing patterns in black, blue, pink, and yellow, along with lighter shades for some colors. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I recently purchased the Image Class mf264dw copier/printer/scanner. Since my computer is an all-in-one, I couldn't use the disk provided to load the software onto my Dell. I visited Canon's website to download what I believed to be the print/scan software. However, I've only been able to successfully set up the printing function. When attempting to scan, I receive a message stating that my computer lacks the Scan utility. Despite multiple attempts, scanning remains unavailable to me. I urgently require scanning capabilities and seek assistance. Can someone please provide a link or guidance to resolve this issue? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Dear Canon,
I have encountered a recurring issue with the CLI-[redacted] XL Black, Cyan, Magenta & Yellow ink cartridges I purchased for my Pixima TS 9521C printer. The ink cartridges from batch number [redacted] leak ink when I replace them, causing a mess. Despite the ink leakage, the cartridges manage to print adequately. I fear installing full cartridges due to this problem. Strangely, I never faced this issue with the same printer model at sea level on the east coast over two years. As I recently moved to Colorado at [redacted] ft above sea level, I wonder if the altitude change could be a factor. Are you aware of any similar problems with these cartridges?
Kind regards,
John W.
