I own an Eos M3 along with an adapter and an EFS 55-[redacted] lens. After downloading the firmware upgrade, formatting my SD card, and placing the firmware update (.lfu) on the SD card, I attempted to update the firmware on my camera. However, I encountered an error message stating "Memory Card containing firmware is required to update." To troubleshoot, I have tried using a different SD card, yet the issue persists. Interestingly, my camera can still recognize the SD card when I am taking photos. I am in need of assistance with this problem. Appreciate any help offered.

Hello, I encountered issues with the submission page on your website while trying to set up my new printer, the MX922. Despite following the instructions on the DVD, I was unable to input data for the wireless connection due to Support Code [redacted] persisting. I've tried various troubleshooting steps like restarting the printer, checking for removed red tape on movable parts, and pressing the MENU button repetitively, but the code remains unresolved. This is disappointing as it's my sixth Canon printer, and previous models like the MX5520 have failed with repair notices. It would be beneficial if Canon printers were more compatible with Windows 7 and up, ensuring a smoother user experience. Your assistance in resolving the Support Code [redacted] matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Al

Canon G4210 Printer Issue Hello everyone, I recently received my new Canon G4210 printer from FedEx a couple of hours ago. I decided to upgrade from my previous G3200, which I returned to Staples earlier today. After setting up the printer and filling the inks, I noticed that the blue ink level was significantly lower than expected. I am puzzled about where the ink went because it seems like the tubes and cartridges are not filled to capacity. I am concerned about running out of cyan ink too soon and having to buy a new one shortly. I hope Canon can help resolve this issue to ensure customer satisfaction. I will consider returning the printer if this matter is not addressed promptly. I am currently setting up the wifi function and hoping for a solution regarding the ink matter. Sincerely

I am currently trying to set up my new TR8520 printer and am encountering some difficulties. Despite following the manual, I stumbled upon an unfamiliar term, "passphrase," when setting it up for the first time. Initially overwhelmed by the presence of symbols in the example, I later learned that a passphrase is simply a string of words with spaces. Unfortunately, I now seem unable to access the necessary area to input this passphrase, leading to a standoff. Furthermore, during the setup download, the TR8520 occasionally appears as TR8500, which might not be an issue. Additionally, when prompted to select the printer, the list appears empty, instructing me to set up the network following the guide's directions if the printer is not visible.

Issue Resolved: Canon PIXMA MX*** Printer Fix After setting up a new Netgear C**** router/modem, my Canon MS*** printer stopped working. I was able to solve the problem by navigating to System Preferences/Printers & Scanners. I discovered that the Canon MX922 printer/Scanner, the default device, was not functioning. However, there was a working option, the Canon MX920 Series printer/scanner, available. Despite checking the LAN settings and ensuring all connections were secure, the Canon MX922 printer/Scanner was still showing as "not connected." To resolve this, I selected the functioning Canon MX920 series printer/Scanner as the default, and I could successfully print and scan again! Everything is back to normal. 😊🖨️

I recently bought a Canon MG3620 all-in-one inkjet printer. It works well when connected to my Windows 10 PC with a USB cable. However, I am struggling to connect wirelessly using my Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet. Following the steps in the "Starting a Cableless Setup - MG3620" from the Canon Knowledge Base has not been successful. The issue appears to be that the Wi-Fi lamp on the printer remains constantly lit and does not flash, indicating readiness for network information. Printing the network settings shows inactive connection, blank IP address, and disabled access point mode. Despite my PC and Wi-Fi Analyzer app on my tablet recognizing other networks, the Canon MG3620 network is not visible. I am unsure of the next steps to resolve this issue. Thank you for any assistance. - Michael E. Ellis

I am encountering an issue with my Canon Pixma MX [redacted] printer's IJ Scan Utility2. Approximately two weeks ago, I disabled the "Save Document to a subfolder" option, and it successfully stopped including the date in the file names saved to my desktop. However, the IJ Scan Utility has now reverted to adding the date to the end of my file names. Despite my attempts to adjust the settings, the utility continues to insert the date into the file names. After deleting and reinstalling the Scan Utility from the Canon website, the problem persists. I contacted Canon support at 1-[redacted] and spoke with Kendra. She explained that the feature only works on "Document Scan" and instructed me to check the "Check scan results" box, which still appended the date to the file names. Additionally, I noticed an area labeled "le_20I81127_0001" where it seems logical to remove the date; however, I was unable to edit this section. As a former programmer, I believe there should be an option for users who prefer not to have the date added to their file names. It would be beneficial to have a simple fix for this in future updates to accommodate different filing methods. Kind regards, Bob B.

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my Canon Pixma MG3022 printer. The black ink cartridges I've been using are only yielding fewer than 50 printed pages each. In the past month alone, I've had to replace the black ink cartridge four times due to running out of ink. Despite purchasing the cartridges from various Walmart locations, I have been met with unhelpful responses when I brought up my concerns to the store staff. I am starting to suspect that the cartridges may be near empty or faulty when sold, leading to the premature depletion of ink. This situation is becoming increasingly costly and exasperating, especially with the lack of assistance from the store. I hope to receive a resolution promptly before escalating this matter to the proper authorities. Thank you, M. Gutierrez

I'm inquiring about the date of the last production of Canon BC-20 Ink Cartridges for the BJC-[redacted] Printer. Despite their availability, I am interested in knowing the most recent manufacturing date of the BC-20 Ink Cartridges. The 7-character batch number on the cardboard box reveals the production date, with the second, third, and fourth characters indicating the month (1-9 for January to September, O for October, N for November, and D for December) and the year. An example batch number is *D04***. Could you please provide the specific second, third, and fourth characters corresponding to the final production batch of these cartridges before they were discontinued? I appreciate your assistance, as there is still a considerable number of BJC-[redacted] Printers in operation today, a testament to their durability and reliability. I eagerly await your response with the information I am searching for. Thank you, Joey.

After being a Canon customer for 40 years, starting with an AE-1 camera, my loyalty is wavering due to recent product issues. My previous camera, the SX [redacted] HS, served me well until its viewfinder suddenly malfunctioned on a holiday. I then purchased the SX720 two years ago, but encountered troubles with the lens cover getting bent and hindering photo quality. Recently, the flash on the camera stopped working without any easy fix, potentially related to a faulty latch on the left side. Despite being cautious with my electronics, these experiences have left me dissatisfied. Canon's cameras seem disposable with costly repair options. After two consecutive disappointing cameras, I regret to say I will be looking elsewhere for my photography needs. Thank you for listening. - Toni

I am having trouble printing a black and white return label using my Canon Pixma MG8100 Series. Both black ink cartridges are full, yet the label is printing too light. I have adjusted the intensity and print quality settings to no avail. Despite updating Safari and my printer, the issue persists. It seems other customers are facing the same frustrating problem with this Canon printer. I urge Canon to address this issue and provide a solution for us. I was disappointed to find no email support option on the tech support site and a lack of phone support as advertised. Canon needs to improve its customer service and support. I appreciate any help to resolve this issue for me and the other customers who rely on Canon printers. Thank you for your attention. - L. A.

I am struggling with my Canon Pixma MG8100 Series printer as the black and white return labels are printing very lightly even though both black ink cartridges are full. Despite adjusting the intensity and print quality settings, the issue persists. It seems many others with the same printer are facing this frustrating problem. It is disappointing that finding solutions on the tech support site is challenging, and options for email support or phone assistance are not available as advertised. Canon needs to address this illogical malfunction promptly to uphold their commitment to customers. Your attention to resolving this widespread issue promptly is crucial for maintaining trust and confidence in the brand. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly for all those affected. - L.A.

I bought an E20 toner cartridge from Office Max a year ago without a receipt. It was sealed in the box and plastic bag but didn't work well in my printer, printing extremely faintly. We've decided to recycle it. As loyal Canon customers who regularly purchase your cameras, I'm wondering if there's a way to get reimbursed for this faulty cartridge. It was intended for my 90-year-old mother, who is on a tight budget. Luckily, the new cartridge we recently purchased works fine, confirming that the issue lies with the old one. Any assistance would be appreciated. Heidi P. [redacted] [redacted] Woodvale Ave. Deerfield, IL 60[redacted]

I purchased a Canon VIXIA HF R82 on July 16, [redacted] from Amazon. Suddenly, the content on the 32GB Internal Flash Drive vanished, leaving it empty. I am seeking assistance on how to retrieve the lost content as I have not caused any physical damage to the camera. Additionally, there seems to be a connectivity issue with the Canon Camera Connect app on my iPhone. Despite multiple attempts with various iPhones, the camera only connects to the wifi but not the app. Even after reinstalling the app and following the connection guide meticulously, the error message "Wireless communication is not working correctly" persists. This issue seemed to have arisen after the content disappearance on the flash drive. I am quite fond of using this camera and hope to resolve these issues promptly. Thank you for your attention. My serial number is [redacted]48.

As a long-time Canon customer, I have a preference for their printers and scanners. Recently, after changing my wi-fi router, my Canon LBP6030w wireless printer has stopped working. I need to reconnect it to the new router but I am unsure how. When I contacted Canon for technical support, I was on hold for over 30 minutes twice, which was disappointing. This prolonged wait is unlike the great customer service I have experienced in the past from Canon. I will attempt to call again tomorrow, hoping for a more efficient experience. Canon has always been known for its exceptional customer service, which is why I have remained loyal for decades. I trust that my issue will be resolved promptly.

Hello Canon, I am a long-time Canon fan with a surprising query. I cherish my MG7720 printer but require some guidance. I print from three devices: two Windows 10 laptops and an old XP desktop. The desktop is offline but is essential for my son's business and family photos. Occasionally, I need to clean the print jets. Despite my efforts, I cannot locate the "maintenance" tab when accessing printer information through "Control Panel" on the laptops. I am puzzled as to where to find the maintenance features on the two Windows 10 laptops. Thank you! Ken T.

I recently encountered issues with my Canon Sure Shots cameras that stopped working abruptly despite their prior excellent performance. The problem arose on August 28, while I was at the Norfolk/Virginia Zoo trying to capture a photo when the viewfinder went black displaying a "Lens Error" message. The camera refused to restart and continuously displayed this error message. I have never faced such issues with my six other Canon cameras purchased since [redacted]. I have attached some relevant documents for your reference, including the Repair/Replacement details:Repair ID Number: RNB46678, Purchase Order Number:[redacted], Received Date: May 08, [redacted], Model Name: SX720 HS (Black), Serial Number: [redacted]29. Kindly advise me on the next steps to either repair or replace the camera. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope to resume taking pictures soon. Sincerely, R. Dorien De Lusignan

I have encountered issues with my Canon Sure Shots cameras purchased in [redacted] and [redacted]. Despite their initial great performance, both cameras malfunctioned quickly, which is unusual based on my positive experiences with Canon SLRs since [redacted]. While at the Norfolk / Virginia Zoo on August 28th, trying to capture a photo, one of the cameras displayed a "Lens Error" message, turned off, and failed to restart, repeating the error message each time I attempted to turn it on. I am including pertinent repair/replacement details like Repair ID Number: RNB46678 and Purchase Order Number for your reference and assistance. I am eager to have the camera fixed or replaced promptly so I can resume taking photos. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Dorien B. D. [redacted] Unity Ct. I recently purchased the PIXMA TS9521C wireless crafting all-in-one printer from HSN. According to HSN, the printer should have come with a paper bundle included. However, when I received my package, I noticed that the 8.5x11 and 5x7 printer sheets were missing from the bundle. Instead, I only received a pack of 4x6 sheets and a pack of 5x5 sheets. HSN suggested returning the printer, but unfortunately, they do not have any replacements in stock. I really like the printer, and it's disappointing that the special HSN bundle from Cannon did not contain all the promised items. I was wondering if there is a way to resolve this issue.

Dear GoPro, I truly admire the work you do with technology, especially in the field of cameras. I am reaching out on behalf of my best friend, who is battling cancer in his ear. The doctors have given him a limited time, which is heartbreaking for all of us, especially his family and me. He is like a brother to me. His birthday is coming up on September 26th, and he has a dream of becoming a vlogger like Casey Neistat. However, he lacks the necessary equipment such as cameras and a computer to pursue this passion. I want to do something special for his birthday, but I am unable to afford it on my own. I'm wondering if you could assist me in providing a gift that would make a significant difference in his life. I have set up a PayPal account to help with his medical expenses, and I would be grateful for any support you could offer. Thank you for considering this request. Sincerely, Constantinos Bouli
