I have been unable to access my CRA Account for Individuals since January [redacted]. I usually file my Canadian Income Tax return online using Studio Tax software, with the Sign-In partner method through CIBC VISAJoint Credit Card. Last year, due to travel restrictions while in France, we were unable to return to Canada as planned, impacting our ability to file taxes. This year, the extra security measures by CIBC have blocked my account as I cannot receive the code on my landline in France. Despite multiple attempts with CIBC, I was unsuccessful. When contacting the CRA at 1-[redacted], long wait times and disconnects have made it difficult to resolve. Although a CRA representative promised to help, the transfer resulted in another long wait time. I am now trying to contact CRA via email at Canada Revenue [redacted] for assistance. Any help to gain access to my account would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Gary B. S.

On February 14, [redacted], I am experiencing difficulties accessing my CRA Account for Individuals since January [redacted]. I usually file my Canadian Income Tax online using the CRA-approved Studio Tax software and CIBC VISAJoint Credit Card as a Sign-In partner. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have been stuck in France for almost a year and have been unable to retrieve the verification code required to unlock my account from CIBC. Despite numerous attempts to contact the CRA at 1-[redacted], the long wait times and unreliable Wi-Fi connection have hindered my progress. After an unsuccessful transfer to CRA Security, I am reaching out to the Canada Revenue Help email address, hoping for a resolution to this frustrating situation. I am also facing issues with Studio Tax [redacted] return, complicating the process further. I am requesting assistance from the CRA to unlock my account promptly.

I've been locked out of my account for a while now, and I've been unable to reach anyone over the phone. I've spent countless hours listening to recorded messages telling me to wait for an available agent. Despite waiting for hours, sometimes I am told all agents are busy and to call back later. I initially tried to resolve this issue back in September last year when I received a letter instructing me to contact the CRA to unlock my account. After not hearing back, I even sent a letter, but nothing changed. Today, I waited on hold for three hours, still unable to speak to anyone.

I am the power of attorney for my mother, who is living with dementia. Being her only child and residing in Ontario while she lives in British Columbia, I took the necessary step to send a copy of my POA to the Canada Revenue Agency in Winnipeg, T1 Specialty Services approximately one year ago. The purpose was to ensure that all tax-related documents are directed to me. Though I have successfully received the tax instalment forms, the final [redacted] tax assessment along with her government T4s for [redacted] and [redacted] related to CPP and OAS have not reached me. Unfortunately, my attempts to reach out via phone have been unfruitful, and I am unable to access her account online as she does not have a computer. Despite my efforts with her bank, HSBC is not linked with Revenue Canada. I am seeking guidance on how to obtain these outstanding documents.

I have been attempting to contact you by phone without success. Every time I call, I am informed that all lines are busy, directing me to call back later. I relocated on March 1, [redacted], and am encountering difficulties updating my personal information on my online account. This information update is essential for me to proceed with filing my [redacted] tax forms online. However, the online tax form submission is hindered because my new address has not been updated with the CRA. I am seeking guidance on how to resolve this issue since I am unable to update my details online and cannot reach your offices by phone.

I recently discovered a lien has been placed on my property, putting myself and the other six residents in jeopardy of losing our home. Despite being a few months behind on payments, I am unable to refinance due to this unexpected obstacle. At 65 years old, I am struggling to secure a mortgage elsewhere. The situation worsened as the COVID-19 pandemic led to loss of income, making it challenging to sustain our family, even with the support of CERB. I was unaware of the CRA's decision to impose a lien until now and urgently need assistance to navigate this concerning situation. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I signed up for my Revenue Canada account in late February [redacted], expecting to receive my access code within 10 days. However, it has been over a month now, and I have yet to receive it. Contacting Revenue Canada is tedious as the wait times are long, with multiple transfers between representatives.
When I attempted to access my account, I encountered a message stating that if I had chosen to have my access code mailed to me, I would have to wait for it. I did not recall being given that option, so I am confused as to why the site mentions it._THIS

I need help accessing my CRA account. I had one years ago, unsure if it was personal or business. I've paid taxes before and currently receive CRB payments due to COVID-19 job loss. I haven't filed taxes since [redacted] due to disability. I'm concerned about a recent tax filing ad I responded to, as I haven't heard back and suspect it may be a scam. I need to unlock my account if it's personal; my business closed in [redacted]. I'm struggling to reach anyone for assistance.

I haven't received my tax slips for the old age pension or CPP. I've recently changed my address to:
Apartment [redacted]
[redacted] High St. East
Moose Jaw, SK

They might be lost in the mail due to the address change process. I've paid to have my mail forwarded, but it could take some time. I've called multiple times, but with appointments to keep, I can't wait on hold for two hours. I'm locked out of My Account and don't have a printer. Can you please mail me hard copies as soon as possible?

I am currently working on preparing the T1 General for a deceased individual. The deceased passed away on March 22, [redacted], and the estate at the time had minimal assets and did not go through Probate. In this case, Alberta Pensions had a pension fund to distribute, but the intended recipient did not proceed, so the funds were paid into the estate. The Executor, who is also the sole beneficiary, was required to apply for Probate to access the funds. 30% was withheld for taxes by Alberta Pension, and the remainder was issued to the Estate.
Now, as I work on the final tax remittance, I have a couple of inquiries:
1.) Can I deduct all expenses related to obtaining Probate, such as courier fees, legal costs, and Probate fees?
2.) How should I go about requesting a Clearance Certificate?

Our CRA accounts have been revoked, and despite multiple calls to resolve this since early April, I am still trying to set up new accounts for myself and my husband. It has been frustrating and confusing, especially since my husband is not computer-savvy. We would like to delete both accounts and receive all our CRA information including Notices of Assessment via mail. I hope to receive a prompt response and have our accounts sorted out soon.

I have been donating US dollars to two US universities for years without considering the exchange rate for tax purposes, fearing it was not in compliance with the CRA policy. During my [redacted] tax return, both a CRA agent and a non-CRA specialist confirmed the exchange rate must be included. I complied for [redacted] and now need to do the same for previous years. After researching, I believe using the TI Adjustment Request is the best approach. I seek advice on which number to use on Schedule 9 and if I can address multiple past years on one sheet. Any guidance on this would be appreciated. I also suggest that the CRA consider adding a field for the exchange rate on the donation receipts form. Thank you for your help and understanding.

I recently discovered that my [redacted] taxes were not filed. After sending my Business Accountant information by mail, she never received it. Due to my computer being hacked and malfunctioning for months during the COVID-19 pandemic, it took several attempts to resolve the hacking issue. Now that it's sorted out, I am looking to obtain T4 slips and potentially request an extension to gather all necessary materials. The stress of this situation at 77 years old has been exhausting, but I am preparing to send my [redacted] taxes to my accountant soon, reflecting minimal taxable income due to limited travel in [redacted]. I would appreciate assistance in contacting the Sudbury Taxation Department. Please note my new email address at [redacted], which I use to keep important correspondence secure. I am also keeping my old email [redacted] but prefer contact through the new address. Thank you for your understanding.

I contacted the CRA last year by phone regarding a situation where I paid an HST amount to a contractor twice, but he did not remit it to Revenue Canada. The CRA advised me to contact the contractor directly, which I did. After confronting him with the lack of receipts and requesting his HST number (HST R[redacted]78), he denied any wrongdoing. The first job, aluminum soffit & fascia installation, was done on August 12, [redacted], costing $4,[redacted].50 with $[redacted].50 HST. The second project, replacing living room and dining room windows, was finished in January [redacted], totaling $3,[redacted].50 with $[redacted].5 HST. The contractor, Ajax Home Renovations, is located at 29 Turnbull Road, Ajax, Ontario. I learned in February that he might not be required to remit HST if his earnings are under $30,[redacted] annually. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

I had a CRA My Account years ago but forgot the password. While trying to register, I accidentally applied for a job. I managed to sign in with a partner, but when I went back to complete the application, I received an ERR.[redacted] message. The site said they were temporarily closed or down, advising me to call 1-[redacted], which I can't use from Mexico. LD calls are free between Mexico and Canada. I need a local number and a specific department name to reach out. I want to check the status of a letter regarding my reduced CPP in Jan and Feb and my tax return. My email will be deleted soon, but you can contact me at [redacted] instead.

I've been on hold for an hour, then told I'm being transferred with another 1 to 1.5 hours wait. It's frustrating trying to do things right without getting the needed clarification.
I'm unsure if CPP is payable for fee for service. I've been hired for consulting work with a flat rate payment. I know I need to pay taxes when filing, but I'm uncertain about remitting CPP. Some sources suggest it's not required for fee for service, yet tax software calculates both sides. If this is incorrect, how can it be rectified? In the future, how should I declare these earnings to clarify CPP obligations? Could someone assist me without long phone waits?

Hello, my name is T. J. M. Prince, born on January 5th, [redacted]. I recently filed my taxes with Tax Reclamation and had the return sent to 1-[redacted] Machray Ave Winnipeg MB R2W 1A5. However, after moving in August, I never received it. I suspect it might have been stolen as I checked multiple times with no luck. I am now located at 14 Marlow Court R2P 0A5. I have not received any GST payments and only got an email from the tax company about their filing fee, which I never received. I am concerned about fraud and would like Canada Revenue to investigate if my return was cashed and reissue it to my new address.
