I need to update my address with California EDD, but to do it online, I require an EDD Customer Account Number that I don't possess. Despite my attempts to obtain a new BofA EDD card, I received two notices stating that a replacement card was being sent to an incorrect address. When I tried contacting California EDD, there wasn't an option available to change my address or phone number. I urgently require my BofA EDD card. I request California EDD to email me my EDD Customer Account Number or send an email to facilitate my address update in their system. Even after mailing California EDD letters with my correct address twice, upon contacting BofA EDD for a new card, my correct address was still not updated in their records.

I have not received any money from EDD yet. I am struggling without funds for food, especially with the holiday season approaching. I am actively searching for a job on Craigslist. I have submitted my last form to EDD and am feeling very frustrated due to my disability. Please inform me about when I will receive my EDD benefits. Regards, Hank C. Sedam. I have provided all necessary paperwork. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated.

About a month and a half ago, I got locked out of my EDD account online. I couldn't get in because my password wasn't working, and it wouldn't recognize my email. I tried calling for help but didn't receive any assistance. Then, about two weeks later, my purse was stolen with all my belongings inside, including my phone. I didn't get a new phone until last week. Now, I'm trying to sort out my EDD issue and certify, but I haven't been able to do so for about two months. If you could reach out to me via phone at [redacted] or email, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I need to speak to an agent urgently. Recently, I received a notice about recertification, for which I was disqualified due to misunderstanding new questions. Initially, I claimed unemployment due to the seasonal job loss. However, I have been assisting my (high-risk) disabled parents with relocating and dealing with the impacts of COVID-19. My initial claim was $62 per week and was later extended. Despite multiple attempts in various languages on different days, I am unable to reach a representative, and the system notifies me of high call volume each time. I have not received any mail regarding disqualification or information on how to appeal within the given timeframe as stated on the website.

I have been attempting to reach a claims specialist for two weeks now. Four weeks ago, I was informed that I would be contacted by EDD within seven days, but I have not received any communication yet. I have been diligently calling, but have unfortunately faced challenges such as being placed on hold endlessly or even disconnected twice. My specific concern revolves around the accurate reporting of my earnings during the first two two-week periods for my pandemic relief employment claim. The information provided seems to be inaccurate, and I am seeking assistance in rectifying this issue promptly. Your help in addressing this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have experienced being furloughed for one week each month during the months of April, May, and June. Despite certifying for the weeks I was temporarily laid off, I have encountered multiple errors from EDD. They have mistakenly sent me benefits for five weeks, and the certification acknowledgement I received is incorrect. I have attempted to reach a live person numerous times without success. Approximately a month ago, I contacted the disability department and spoke with an agent named Lea J. who promised to submit a note on my behalf to rectify the situation. However, I have not received any further communication or the voucher needed to repay the two weeks of overpayment. I am concerned about potential penalties due to EDD's error and urgently need to connect with a live representative to resolve this issue promptly.

I received a letter from San Francisco County informing me that my food assistance benefits were terminated due to EDD reporting that I was receiving $[redacted] bi-weekly in UI benefits, which is untrue. I promptly reported this identity theft to EDD. I am concerned that EDD may have also alerted the IRS and FTB about these funds. I hope EDD will inform the tax agencies of the situation to avoid any tax liability on funds I have not been receiving. I want to clarify that I have not collected UI benefits since before [redacted].

I submitted my self-employed PUA unemployment claim and uploaded my federal and state tax return documents. I'm now being asked for wage information, but as a self-employed individual, I'm unsure what additional document to provide. I attempted to upload a copy of my business check, but it wasn't accepted as a wage document. Any suggestions on what type of document I could submit to meet this requirement?
Thank you,
P. Stuto

I have a concern regarding the overpayment of EDD taxes on behalf of Bonita Vista Community Association. We recently discovered that our payroll company was handling these payments, resulting in overpayment by us. While we recovered some funds around $39,[redacted] to $40,[redacted], we believe there is still more owed to us from past years. I am seeking guidance on how to determine the exact amount owed, who to contact for assistance, and what information is required to facilitate the return of the remaining funds. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In January, I lived in Hawaii with 3 roommates. When our lease ended, one roommate decided to go back to school, another moved in with family, and the third went back to California and invited me to join. I quit my job with a two-week notice to get my final paychecks. I planned to look for work in California but then COVID-19 hit. Since I was unemployed before the move, I couldn't get unemployment benefits. I am actively job hunting, but due to the current situation, it's challenging. I really need COVID-19 insurance benefits until I find a job.

My account was flagged for fraud even though I haven't done anything wrong. Yesterday, my account was in good standing, and today when I checked my balance, it said my card was shut down due to fraud. This doesn't make sense, and I can still log into my portal as usual. Please assist me with this issue. Thank you, Matt Endom [redacted]. I'm available to verify any information required to show that I have followed all EDD instructions correctly.

The DMV misspelled my city name on my ID and license. It should be "Rancho Cordova," but it reads "Rncho Cordova." This error has led to extra verification steps. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate my original Social Security card, only a photocopy. I possess my passport, driver's license, ID, and birth certificate. Struggling to move forward in submitting my claim, I have dedicated over 30 consecutive hours to calling, but have not connected with anyone. I urgently need assistance to rectify this DMV mistake as it is hindering my progress.

I recently realized that the DMV made an error on my ID and driver's license by misspelling my city name from Rancho Cordova to Rncho Cordova. This mistake has caused me a lot of trouble as I try to verify my identity. Unfortunately, I am struggling to find my original Social Security card, as I only have a photocopy. I do have my passport, driver's license, ID, and original birth certificate. I am currently stuck in the process of submitting my claim and have spent more than 30 continuous hours trying to contact the DMV without success. I feel frustrated as this simple DMV mistake is now causing me so much difficulty.

Hi, my name is Charles C. I am assisting my friend Susan C. in signing up for PUA disaster assistance. I have encountered an issue with her claim. Certain information was entered incorrectly, resulting in the denial of her claim. If the correct details had been provided, she would not have faced this problem. Could you please advise me on the steps needed to rectify this with EDD CA so that my friend can receive the payment she is entitled to? Thank you.

I have undergone verification as confirmed by three customer service agents. Each of them has requested that the account "specialists" lift the disqualification and release my benefits, yet there has been no response even though it has been longer than the usual 6-8 week verification timeframe. According to customer service, my documents were clear, legible, and submitted on time. All agents agreed that there is no valid reason for my disqualification, which still stands.
I am requesting an account specialist to review the notes from the three customer service agents I contacted and to lift the disqualification from my claim so that my benefits can be processed.

I contacted EDD and was directed to call the tax department for assistance. However, upon calling, I only encountered automated messages without any real solutions to my issue of overpaid payroll taxes. It has been quite frustrating as I have received significant checks in November and December [redacted] amounting to $40,[redacted].14, but suspect that I may have overpaid even more than that.
I need guidance on how to resolve this matter promptly. Bonita Vista Community Association has unknowingly been paying payroll taxes for over twenty-five years, not realizing they were being handled by our payroll company, Paychex. Please contact me at [redacted] or through email at [redacted] to discuss the necessary steps to rectify this situation.

I received my contribution rates for [redacted] last month. The SDI rate has changed to 1.20%. I use QuickBooks and have updated the payroll tax table today in preparation for [redacted] payroll, but it still shows 1.0%. QuickBooks informed me that California has not notified them of the new rate yet. My payroll starts on Monday, January 4, [redacted], and I will have to manually adjust the SDI on each check, which makes me very unhappy. Can you please let me know when the EDD will furnish the new tax rate to QuickBooks?
Thank you,
M.A. Christensen

I am an accountant handling payroll for multiple California businesses. I utilize QuickBooks payroll software. QuickBooks has not integrated the new SDI rate of 1.20% into their system yet. I verified this with them yesterday. Starting tomorrow, we will need to manually calculate the new rate for each paycheck. Please address this and promptly inform QuickBooks about the updated rate. Thank you.

I have an ongoing claim with EDD and made a mistake when filing it by entering one digit incorrectly in my driver's license. EDD thought it was fraudulent activity and sent me an appeal to fill out, but I was hospitalized during that time. Now that I am out of the hospital, I want to continue with my existing claim instead of opening a new one. I initiated the claim on March 22nd and due to financial struggles from being out of work, I desperately need to resolve this issue.

Upon the expiration of my PUA claim on December 26, [redacted], I had a remaining balance of $[redacted]. There seems to be conflicting information regarding what to do next. An article mentioned that those with remaining balances would transition to the 11-week extension, while a notification on my Homepage states that my claim has expired and I need to file a new claim.
I am unsure which instructions to follow considering my remaining balance on the expired claim. Do I continue with the previous claim and then transition to the extension, or do I file a new claim? Your clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance during these challenging times.
Sincerely,
David E.
