I have applied for OHEP, but my application is taking a long time to process since it was submitted online. I urgently need a 7-day extension or the payment plan they claim to provide but keep denying me. My bills seem excessively high compared to my neighbors, and I fear service disconnection at any moment. After trying to pay by check recently, a payment reversal occurred due to a rent deduction, leading to an impending termination. My 10-year-old child has severe emotional distress issues and asthma, while I also struggle with anxiety, PTSD, and thyroid problems that worsen in the heat. My household includes my 80-year-old grandmother, and as a widow without external support, our situation is deeply distressing. My son's condition, Status Asthmaticus, requires frequent nebulizer use during attacks. I am supposed to qualify for a 12-month payment plan but have been consistently denied. I have reported this situation to the consumer protection department for assistance.

I recently got a call at my workplace from an unfamiliar number. The caller insisted they were from BGE and threatened to disconnect our restaurant's electricity unless a payment was made within 30 minutes. The number displayed an out-of-state area code, but they provided 1-[redacted] as their contact number, which I couldn't verify as an official BGE number online. Can anyone confirm if this is legitimate?

Hello,*I've noticed a significant increase in my BGE bill over the past three months. It went from $[redacted] to $[redacted] to $[redacted]. I believe there might be faulty equipment on the telephone pole or some theft involved leading to these excessive charges. Could you please investigate this issue promptly? We are taking steps to reach out to the MD Attorney General and the Consumer Protection Agency to address this concerning matter regarding our escalating bills.
