During my visit to your restaurant on Main Street in Huntington Beach at 2 p.m., I encountered extremely poor service which has deterred me from returning. The staff demonstrated unprofessional behavior by socializing among themselves instead of attending to the cleanliness of the tables. I had to request for my table to be wiped down as it was dirty, along with other unclean tables in the vicinity. The appetizers took an unreasonably long time to arrive and were served cold. When I raised these concerns with the manager, they seemed indifferent and dismissed my complaints. This experience stands out as the worst service I have ever received. It is disheartening as I frequently hold corporate lunches and meetings at several of your other locations, including West Covina, Dos Lagos, Corona, and Pasadena in California. The lack of care and pride in the store, especially during a busy weekend, is unacceptable. I urge the management to address and improve the operation of this restaurant moving forward.

I previously had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, but today on my daughter's birthday, we encountered an issue. After finishing our meals at 4:35 pm, we waited over an hour for our change from the payment made around 6:05 pm. Despite our server leaving to get change from the bank, causing delays, I empathized as it was only Daniel N's third day. Unfortunately, desserts ordered for my daughter and her friends were also missing. The manager, a heavyset Caucasian woman, apologized and offered gift cards. Upon checking the balance at home around 9 pm, the cards were not activated, leading to frustration. This experience was disappointing, making it unlikely for me to revisit this specific restaurant in the future.

I recently had a concerning experience at a restaurant where a service dog was seated on the booth furniture and drinking water from a bowl similar to the one I was eating from. I politely requested a clean area for my husband and me, but it seemed overlooked. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they had no response. I believe it's important to consider all customers, as some may have allergies or sensitivities to animals. It might be beneficial for restaurants to have designated areas for service animals with clear signage for customers to choose if they wish to be seated there. This experience has left me hesitant to dine at this establishment again due to cleanliness concerns.

I went to BJ's in Huntington Beach for dinner with my son last night. Initially, everything was fine, but then after a while, our food was delayed. The waiter even forgot my loaded fries, which arrived very late after my son had finished his meal. When we got home, I realized they gave me the wrong type of fries in a much smaller portion. I requested a refund for the unsatisfactory fries. I usually visit BJ's at the Cerritos location for work lunches and have never had a bad experience there, unlike this time in Huntington Beach. I hope this issue can be resolved. The details from my receipt are as follows: ticket number [redacted], served by Tyler H (#[redacted]) at 19:21, total check $17.46 plus tip.

After settling our bill and preparing to leave, I wanted to check if I had left my phone at the table. Placing my to-go box on a nearby table, I quickly checked my pockets. Just as I did, a hostess behind me loudly exclaimed, "Excuse me, ma'am." While I usually cooperate promptly, her tone was extremely rude and condescending, especially given that there were plenty of other empty tables available. We frequent this establishment about 5 times a month, so I was truly surprised by this unpleasant encounter. Although I might have briefly obstructed the way, the manner in which I was addressed left me feeling disrespected. Thank you for listening.

Our lunch experience on October 13, [redacted], at BJ's in Towson was truly disappointing. We were promptly seated, but had to wait 20 minutes for our waiter and 30 minutes for our order to be taken. The drinks took another 30 minutes, and our food finally arrived after an hour and 35 minutes. Despite voicing our concerns to the manager, no actions were taken to address the delays. Although I had to give at least one star for this review, BJ's did not earn it. We anticipated some form of compensation but received nothing, not even a free drink. The manager's handling of the situation was lacking, and it felt like he was avoiding us. This experience was frustrating, especially since we were visiting our daughter for parents' weekend at Towson. BJ's fell short of our expectations for a family outing.

I placed an order for a California Chicken Club for curbside pickup at 6:22. I was informed it would take 15-20 minutes. However, I waited almost 30 minutes outside and the curbside pickup person was very impolite. Upon reaching home, I discovered the order was missing avocado, contained lettuce I requested to be removed, and was excessively soggy. This surprised me as I expected it to be fresh after the prolonged wait. I called to have the order corrected at 7:06 after conversing with a manager. Despite driving back to BJs, I had to wait an additional 35 minutes as my order had not even been started, finally receiving it at 7:53. In total, I waited 1 hour and 31 minutes for a single sandwich order without any apology, explanation, discount, or refund. I am deeply disappointed in the customer service, carryout staff, and the on-shift manager.

I had a very disappointing experience recently. I am quite upset about it. I have already contacted the Florida Department of Restaurants to report what happened. I placed an order for a half-price pizza on Mondays. Despite calling to confirm the order, my account was still not working. The pizza was supposed to be ready at 6 pm, but when I arrived a few minutes later, it was already prepared at 5 pm. The online price was $14.95, so with the discount, it should have been around $8. Unfortunately, there was a lack of toppings on the poorly made pizza, and it was not even warm. The employees did not seem concerned about my complaints. After speaking with the manager about my dissatisfaction and possible overcharge, they did not adequately address my concerns. I am disappointed by the lack of customer service and will be pursuing this issue further with the help of the authorities.

My companions and I recently dined at BJ's on Cornell in Beaverton/Hillsboro. We are long-time customers of BJ's, dining there regularly each month. However, on Veterans Day, 11/11/18, we experienced exceptionally poor service. The waiter, Greg, was rude and impatient from the moment he arrived at our table, a stark contrast to the friendly service we are accustomed to. He rushed through our orders and neglected our requests, including acknowledging my friend's birthday. Despite our efforts to enjoy the evening, Greg's attitude persisted throughout the meal. Upon returning home, I spoke to the manager, Scott, who was dismissive, insisting we should have raised the issue during our meal. I opted to contact him later to address the situation professionally. Despite spending nearly $[redacted], with some discounts for Veterans Day, our overall experience was unsatisfactory. We value BJ's recognition of Veterans, but this particular visit fell short. We expect acknowledgment and an appropriate resolution for this regrettable experience. Best regards, M.R. P.S. I recommend providing us a credit to rectify this unpleasant experience.

On Saturday, 1-26-19, I had to leave BJ's due to another team member disrespecting me during service. The on-shift manager was on the back line, and despite my requests, the manager did not intervene. After enduring over 30 minutes of disrespectful behavior and racist comments from the team member, I confronted him. The situation escalated, and when the manager approached, I explained what had happened. However, the manager's response was to yell at me. Feeling unfairly treated, I contacted my K.M., tried to return to work, and even spoke with the GM but was ultimately informed that I was no longer part of the team for leaving. The lack of support from management, coupled with inappropriate language used, made the environment hostile. I was surprised by the lack of follow-up and the consequence of losing my job for standing up against disrespectful behavior.

On March 22, [redacted], I experienced discrimination at BJ's restaurant located on [redacted] W. Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, [redacted]. During my visit, I tried to place an order over the phone from my cell phone as a Postmates worker, but was informed that I couldn't. When I asked for a policy explanation, the General Manager, Benjamin Dickinson, stated his authority to enforce this rule and even threatened to remove me from the premises. This situation is unjust as Postmates and BJ's restaurant are separate entities. Refusing service based on my association with Postmates is discrimination. The lack of a formal policy makes this treatment even more concerning. It is frustrating that they would only accept my order when I denied working with Postmates. I am hoping for a prompt resolution and would appreciate your attention to this matter. Collins A. from Oklahoma City

I ordered food for four people from BJ's on Friday, April 5th, on Baltimore Avenue in Laurel, Maryland, around 11:42 am. After receiving a call at 12:21 about a wrong delivery, I was assured the correct one would be sent soon. Despite being told the food would arrive shortly at 1:34 pm, I later found out at 1:55 pm from a manager that the order had already been delivered. However, we never received it, and BJ's claimed it was the delivery company's responsibility. We are disappointed with the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed. It would be appreciated if some form of compensation could be offered as a gesture of goodwill to rebuild trust in your services after this unsatisfactory experience.

On Saturday, May 4, [redacted], I visited BJ's at the outlets in Orange, California. I ordered two buffalo wings, one flat and one regular, with the sauce on the side. However, they brought me one order tossed with buffalo sauce. After requesting a correction, they brought me two flat wings instead of the regular ones. The main courses were disappointing too. My medium rare prime rib arrived cold and overcooked, while my wife's top sirloin steak was burnt and cold. Despite the long wait for wrongly prepared and cold food, I spoke to the manager, who kindly let us not pay for anything. Frustrated, I left and dined elsewhere after wasting an hour. I requested the general manager's contact information but did not receive it. This experience at BJ's, where I have been a frequent customer, was by far the worst, and I am hesitant to return.

On Monday, May 17th, I called at 5:15 for a party of 6 at McCandless, PA, arriving at 6:45. We all got there at 6:40 for check-in. We were told about a 5-10 minute wait. After a couple of checks, we noticed that a party of 5 and a party of 7 were seated before us despite arriving later. I spoke with a lady, possibly the manager, and we were finally seated at 7:10. Even though she gave us an appetizer, we were dissatisfied after spending over $[redacted]. The server was excellent and very pleasant. Watching the lobby video, it's clear we called ahead, were promised a short wait, but ended up waiting for 30 minutes and being overlooked twice. We might as well have gone to Longhorn, Bonefish Grill, Burgatory, or other nearby restaurants. I'm very disappointed and will make sure others know about my experience. Word of mouth can truly make or break a business. It’s important to address the concerning behavior of the lady we spoke with.

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at BJs. I waited over an hour for my hamburger and chicken strips, with no updates from the waiter. The manager later informed me that the kitchen had made a mistake with my order. When the food finally arrived, my burger was not well done as requested. Throughout the meal, the server did not check in or offer assistance. My family and I waited in vain for refills and follow-up. The waiter only appeared at the end to present the bill. This ruined our family time, and I left hungry and dissatisfied. The overall service was poor, reflecting terribly on the establishment's customer service. I hope to address this matter, please reach out to me via email or at [redacted].

We contacted the establishment the day prior to ensure they would broadcast a particular football match. The manager, Oscar, assured us they would accommodate our request. Upon arrival, Oscar declined to change the channel for the game other than on the smallest TV in the corner. Despite the empty restaurant and bar, he was impolite and mentioned they decide on game placement in the mornings without alteration. Unfortunately, our experience was unsatisfactory, and we have chosen not to revisit the venue.

I want to address an incident at the Avon BJ’s Brewhouse in Indiana concerning the General Manager's unprofessional conduct during my recent interview for a serving position. The GM displayed disrespect and condescension throughout the meeting, wasting my time and displaying arrogance. It would have been more respectful if he had directly informed me I did not qualify for the role due to not meeting the experience requirement. His behavior, especially the unnecessary delay and patronizing attitude, left a negative impression. Despite previous positive experiences at the Avon location, this recent encounter has deterred my family and me from returning. It is my hope that the GM is reminded to treat others with respect and transparency going forward, considering both their time and demeanor.

I had a dining experience last Saturday, 2/29/20, with a friend. I ordered the Avocado Egg Rolls appetizer, tri-tip and ribs, a side salad with balsamic dressing on the side, steamed broccoli, and water with lemon. My friend ordered the tri-tip and scampi, a side salad with balsamic dressing, mashed potatoes, and either water or Pepsi to drink. We both requested our meals to be well done, but they came out rare to medium rare and had to be sent back. Even after the second attempt, my dish was still undercooked. My friend's meal was finished before mine returned, and despite the meat still being undercooked, he opted not to send it back. Unfortunately, we both suffered from food poisoning, which we suspect came from the salads. I had to seek medical attention for it, while my friend is recovering on his own. Additionally, I noticed that the restaurant's restrooms need better maintenance as the garbage bins were overflowing onto the floor.

We bought a $[redacted] e-gift card during the promotion that included a $30 bonus card and 20% off through CashStar. While we received the $[redacted] gift card, we have not received the $30 bonus card or the 20% off card. Despite contacting CashStar customer service, we were informed that the bonus card had been used, which is not the case. I have emailed their customer service but have not received a response. Upon researching online, I discovered their poor ratings and am puzzled as to why BJ's partners with them. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate to have received my $[redacted].

I purchased a $[redacted] gift card at my local BJ's store #[redacted] in Florence, KY. I enjoy the restaurant, the food, and the friendly staff. I misplaced the gift card, but I kept the AmEx transaction details and the original receipt from the purchase on 12/16/[redacted]. The manager, Tiffany, has been extremely helpful. During my last visit a few weeks ago, another manager mentioned they received an email from the home office stating that the issue was resolved on February 24th, but I did not receive any notification. I have checked all my email folders but found no updates regarding the $[redacted] gift card. This matter has been ongoing for three months now, and I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
