I engaged Kristin Cardwell from Sit and Stay Pet Hotel to look after my pets at my place for a week while I was on vacation. I emphasized the importance of cleaning the cats' litter boxes every day. I paid $[redacted] in advance for the service. Kristin only showed up for five out of the seven paid days and took cat food for the two days she missed. It seemed like she tried to make it seem as if she had been there all seven days. On the first day, she brought two unsupervised children with her who roamed around my house with lollipops. This was a significant concern for me due to my OCD. Kristin didn't inform me of the missed days, and she didn't offer to refund the two days until I raised the issue. I discovered the missed days because my security camera didn't record anything on those days. Kristin is now threatening to take legal action against me for having a security camera without informing her, even though I'm not legally obligated to do so in the state.

As a homeowner, I hired Brenco Home Solutions in Belle, WV through Angie’s List on January 11, [redacted]. I provided a $[redacted] deposit to the owner, Ben Burns, at phone number [redacted], for a total repair cost of $[redacted] on a 6-foot tall white resin fence from Lowe's. Despite three months passing, Ben has not completed the repairs and has not returned my funds. I kindly request assistance in either having the contractor finish the project or refund my payment.

I mistakenly left a review for Pro Tree which was meant for a different tree service with a similar name. I have never been a customer of Pro Tree. Despite my email request going unanswered and being unable to reach anyone through the automated phone system, I hope that through this forum my concern can be addressed. As a long-time Angie's List subscriber, I am disappointed by the lack of response. I am considering alternatives to Angie's List due to this experience.

I used the free Angie’s List to find companies to redo my driveway. I received four company recommendations. Three companies contacted me via email to arrange estimates. George’s Asphalt unexpectedly showed up at my house, making it difficult for me to talk. Despite this, I asked for an estimate. The representative became rude when I insisted on the entire driveway being redone. He was pushy with his sales pitch, leading to a confrontation when I explained that we wanted the entire driveway replaced based on multiple quotes. The situation escalated when he threatened to charge me $47 for the visit. After leaving, he sent multiple texts threatening legal action if I didn’t pay. Though estimates are usually free, he insisted on the charge. I am frustrated with this experience and request Angie’s List's intervention and a resolution promptly.

I'm finding it really confusing as I'm not very tech-savvy. My issue is with trying to log in, but the system keeps saying that my password is invalid. I've attempted this multiple times, and each time it says that a link or message will be sent to me. I'm hoping to arrange to have some tree work done at my home. Whenever I select "Claim Deal," it redirects me to the sign-in page. I believe I am a member, but I can't utilize any services due to this ongoing "password" issue. Could you please assist me with this? Also, I'm curious why all this is necessary now that Angie's List is apparently offering its services for free. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

On February 22, [redacted], I had my patio roof repaired by the Roof Experts from Escondido, CA. They provided me with a 5-year warranty for the area that was fixed. Unfortunately, my roof is leaking again, and I have been unable to reach anyone at their location. The phone number is no longer in service, and I was informed that they may have sold the business. I am unsure what to do next. I spoke to one individual who mentioned the business may have been sold. I am facing the dilemma of whether to incur the costs of hiring another roofing company to address the problem. This is the second repair needed within two months, with the first one on the house roof and the recent one on the patio. I hope you can assist me in locating what happened and finding out who could potentially honor the 5-year warranty. I originally paid $3,[redacted]. While I was satisfied with the repair initially, I am disappointed to experience another leak. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide in this matter. The roof repairs were arranged through [redacted].

We had a negative experience with a contractor, Mike Craparotta, from MJ General Contracting LLC. After receiving full payment, he left our renovation unfinished, covering electrical and plumbing outlets, rendering the space unusable. He was deceptive, and we do not recommend his services. Contact details include Michael Craparotta at [redacted] and [redacted]. Address: [redacted] Neck Rd Burlington, NJ [redacted]. We found another contractor to fix the work partially, but there is more to be done. We hope Angie's List takes action to prevent others from hiring Michael Craparotta or MJ Contracting in the future.

I utilized your complimentary membership to engage a contractor who successfully finished the work, prompting me to submit a review. I have been prompted by your notification to provide feedback. Regrettably, I'm experiencing difficulty accessing my free membership account to leave the review. Despite numerous attempts, I am consistently denied access due to an alleged incorrect email address. The email in question is the same address I utilized for my membership registration and the one through which you contacted me for the review. This situation is quite frustrating. I recommend ensuring my membership details are correct if you wish to receive my review. BLK Construction delivered excellent service.

I recently tried Angie's List for the first time this week. I selected a contractor and set up an appointment with the owner/operator for today between 2-3 pm. Communication was good until a call on Tuesday rescheduled the job for Wednesday at 9 am. Although the estimate given over the phone differed slightly during the actual job, I proceeded without issue. The work was completed satisfactorily today, and I paid in cash. However, later in the day, I received a confusing call about the appointment, and it became apparent that the contractor was misled. I discovered that Angie's List sells leads to Home Advisor, who then sells our information to local contractors. This practice disappoints me, and I feel for the contractor who lost income due to this process. While I am content with the work done, I am disheartened by the lack of transparency. This experience has led me to decide not to use Angie's List in the future.

Hello support team, I am looking to write a review for Bluegrass Construction, a great contractor. When I tried to submit my review, the system indicated that I have the wrong email address on file. My previous email was [redacted] I would appreciate it if you could update my information accordingly. The team at Bluegrass truly deserve a positive review. Thank you for your help. Leslie

I am experiencing significant issues with my ongoing roof repair project. It has been dragging on for over 5 weeks with no end in sight. The water damage in my home is extensive, including a burned hole in the roof, and even my new TV has been affected. D and R Roofing, a company known for good reviews, is the contractor responsible for this debacle. I am reaching out for assistance in resolving this urgent situation. Thank you, Morgan T.

I signed a retainer for a kitchen and bathroom remodel with a design and project oversight fees clearly outlined at a percentage of materials and labor costs. When the project estimates were provided, the personal fees exceeded the agreed-upon amount. Upon raising the issue, they claimed a permanent process change and disregarded our original agreement. Despite Susan's talent and personable demeanor, her business partner's practices lacked basic business ethics. Legal action was taken, and I was able to recover my funds (case#2019SR000483 in Dupage County). Susan mentioned her partner handled financial matters. Unfortunately, I had to end our relationship due to these discrepancies.

I hired a contractor from your list and paid in full. It's been 5 weeks, and the project is not finished. I can't use my only bathroom. Thomas Plumbing informed me that one brother started the job, but both have been working on it. I'm frustrated, out $[redacted], and my bathroom is a mess. I don't know what to do. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.

I was disappointed when no one arrived to clean my house today even though I had provided my credit card details and expected a cleaner by 9:00. I received a call from someone, but assuming it was the scheduled cleaner, I informed them I already had someone. Unfortunately, this led to a misunderstanding, and I am without a housekeeper for today, which is frustrating as I have an upcoming party on Thursday. At this point, it's too late to find a replacement. Please send the lady who called me earlier to carry out the cleaning. My name is Jeanne Heinrich, and I reside at [redacted] Canyon Vista Drive.

I hired Anthony Beasley from @Affordable Handyman for a painting project, but he did not complete the job as agreed upon. He has not refunded me $[redacted] for building materials that were never delivered, and he failed to provide an itemized receipt. I request that Angie’s List investigates his reviews, which highlight instances of scamming and theft, and removes him from their platform. I am disappointed that his company was recommended to me despite negative reviews. I trusted Angie’s List to provide reliable referrals. Has Angie’s List addressed the complaints about his unethical behavior, such as theft and fraudulent practices? He struggled with basic tasks like building a chicken run, lacked knowledge of required materials, and needed assistance with placement drawings.

Our GE washer has been out of service due to a torn rubber seal on the front door. After hiring Alpha Appliance Repair through Angie's List, Kyler quoted a $55 fee to inspect the washer but requested $65 upon arrival. He promised a $[redacted] fix and scheduled to return later. Despite assurances, Kyler has not followed up as promised, leaving us in the dark. We feel misled and want our $65 refunded. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Our GE Washer has been out of service due to a torn rubber seal in the front door. My wife found Kyler from Alpha Appliance Repair on Angie's List who quoted us $55.00 for a service fee. When Kyler arrived, he didn't have the part and said it would cost $[redacted].00 to fix. The price suddenly increased to $65.00 for the service fee. Despite agreeing to the repair cost, Kyler hasn't shown up to fix the washer as promised on May 14th. Numerous phone calls and messages have gone unanswered since May 11th. We feel deceived and would like a refund of the $65.00 service fee. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Our GE Washer has been out of service due to a torn rubber seal in the front door. After contacting Alpha Appliance Repair, Kyler quoted a $55.00 fee to show up and look at the washer. Upon his arrival, I noticed he did not have the necessary part with him. Kyler mentioned his previous experience working with Sears and assessed the torn seal quickly, promising to return on May 14th to fix it for $[redacted].00. He unexpectedly raised the show-up fee to $65.00, which I paid, anticipating a final bill of $[redacted].00. Despite assurances, Kyler has not followed up or shown up to complete the repair. We are frustrated and seeking resolution, including a refund of the additional fee. Your help in this matter is appreciated.

I had a technician come out to work on my house, but now my garage has no power. They were supposed to send someone back, but no one has contacted me. I'm tired of emailing back and forth and repeating myself. I haven't provided my credit card details, yet I'm still not getting the service I need. I refuse to give my credit card information until this issue is resolved. This is my second time reaching out, and it's frustrating. You can contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.
