I am looking to cancel my membership, but I am having trouble reaching someone over the phone. Additionally, I can't access my account online because I have a new email address and don't remember my password. I am unable to reset my password because my old email address is no longer valid. If I don't receive a response soon, I will have no choice but to dispute the charges on my credit card. I have been charged twice and want these charges to cease. I am requesting to cancel my membership, but have been unable to reach a live representative using your phone numbers. Additionally, I cannot change my email address online since the account is linked to an old email for which I have forgotten the password. This difficulty is causing me frustration as I have been mistakenly charged twice despite the impression that free memberships would eliminate yearly dues. I need to cancel my account. I do not have access to the password, which was not provided upon request. Even after being assured that my account was canceled, I was charged for membership in November and December [redacted]. I have been unable to contact you by phone as there seems to be no phone support for the account. I do not require a refund for the December charge, I simply want the membership terminated immediately. The account is registered under [redacted], [redacted], or [redacted] Despite using these emails, your system does not recognize them yet charges are still being made. I can be reached at [redacted]. I reached out to a service provider listed on Angie's List for exterior house painting. After leaving a message, a person called me to schedule an estimate. I noticed the company name on the truck did not match the one contacted. The individual claimed to be related to the owner. I tried calling the company again but found the number disconnected. Can someone confirm if Nolan's Painting in Rensselaer, NY is still operating and provide me with a working contact number for Ken Nolan? Thank you for your quick assistance. - H. Spector

In [redacted], I subscribed to Angie's List for $4.79, needing a contractor. I didn't know it was a recurring subscription. Recently, I noticed they increased it to $9.99 without my consent, and have been charging me annually since [redacted], totaling $34.76. Due to numerous monthly charges on my PayPal account, I missed these. I attempted to reach out to cancel and request a refund for the latest charge on June 28, [redacted], but struggled to contact Angie's List by phone or email. The email bounced back, and when I tried to log in to my account online, I received an error about an invalid email or password, even though I store all my login details securely. Despite not using the service, they keep billing me. I want to cancel my subscription and request a refund for the unauthorized charge. Thank you.

I would like to update my review for ALOHA CONSTRUCTION. I can't find the 'edit' option. Here is my revised 5-star review: The day Aloha workers arrived for the first phase of repairs due to hail storm damage was stress-free. The roofing team led by Losho was truly amazing. They were professional and took great care of my property by removing and protecting all items on my deck and surrounding landscaping. They even respectfully removed our flag. Despite my offers, they politely declined water, showcasing their professionalism. Cody checked on the team throughout the day and ensured the roof replacement was finished before the impending rain. The team left my property in impeccable order, even cleaning up neighboring properties. Cody's final inspection was thorough, and the attention to detail was impressive. I am grateful for an excellent job by all Aloha associates, preventing a panic attack. Special thanks to Jim, Nicolette, and Nick for their assistance with State Farm Insurance, making the process hassle-free. Excited for the upcoming repair phases. Thanks for the stellar service!

I have a concern with a contractor who has replaced my roof without obtaining the required city permit. The contractor damaged parts of my house during the roofing process, resulting in my patio rotting and water leakage issues. Additionally, it seems like the contractor has falsified invoices to make me believe there is an outstanding balance, which has led to confusion and frustration. This situation has caused me distress as there are safety concerns regarding the structural integrity of my roof and attic. I am puzzled as to why this contractor is highly rated when the quality of workmanship is poor, and unethical practices such as invoice fabrication are evident. It is troubling to see such behavior endorsed or supported by the rating system in place.

I am Elizabeth Hendricks, and I was recently billed for a membership that I do not recall signing up for or using. Despite a brief visit to your website last year, I have not engaged with any resources or services since. Being unexpectedly charged for another year's membership is not something I can afford to continue. I am requesting a refund as I do not foresee using your website in the future, and it would be a waste of money for my family. I am Susan Williams from Shreveport, LA, and I want to file a complaint against Fed Home Improvement about the poor work done by Mohammed Dehmane. He hastily completed a divider on May 26, [redacted], but the wall he constructed is uneven and of subpar quality. Despite my attempts to reach him for a receipt and for repairs, my messages seem to go unanswered as if my number has been blocked. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. We are requesting either a partial refund or for Mohammed or his team to return and rectify the shoddy wall. Given his positive reviews, this experience is disappointing. The account linked to the number +1 [redacted] is up for renewal today on 8-21-[redacted]. I did not want the account to renew for another year as I have never utilized it before. I had plans to cancel it today, but the company already charged my PayPal account $24.99 at 5:32AM before I could stop it. I have been attempting to contact them by phone throughout the day without success. The automated system keeps saying my "account is not eligible for Phone Support" and hangs up on me. Even trying various numbers listed, including the one provided in the PayPal receipt, led to the same outcome. In frustration, I initiated a Charge Reversal with PayPal today in hopes of prompting them to reach out to me. Your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Gary D.

I no longer want a membership with Angies List. I received emails stating that my membership had expired, but then saw a charge of $25.00 on my PayPal account without authorization. I did not approve this charge and I demand a prompt refund of the $25.00. It is frustrating that there is no option to speak with a representative, especially when my phone number is not supported. I require an immediate refund; otherwise, I will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau. I will also share my experience on social media to warn others about your unfair practices. While I previously allowed this charge and maintained my membership, I decided not to renew after receiving the expired membership email, especially considering non-members are still accessing your site. Please cancel my membership and refund the $25.00 to my account promptly.

I paid Carey Swain and Son $[redacted] on 16 Aug to start a bathroom remodel on 21 Aug at [redacted]. Due to delays, they only worked a few hours tearing floor and wall. They didn't have supplies to continue and left debris blocking my backyard. Despite scheduling conflicts, I agreed to wait until Monday for them to return, but they did not show up or respond to calls and messages. When I confronted them about the lack of progress, they made excuses and promised refund but have not followed through. I need advice on how to resolve this situation as I need my money back to hire another contractor to finish the job promptly. I have evidence of our agreement and interactions.

I hired the repair company you suggested, and I am facing issues getting them to finish the job. I paid them $4,[redacted].00 upfront, and the job remains unfinished. I am not seeking a refund but want the contractor to be held accountable for accepting money for work beyond their capabilities. Additionally, I would like to pursue getting their license revoked. About a decade ago, I had 4-Star Roofing replace my entire roof. Unfortunately, a few years after installation, I noticed some issues with rotting fascia boards and soffits along the house's edge. Tom Nelson from 4-Star identified the problem as an incorrect roof edge installation, suggesting a full inspection and potentially a redo of the entire roof edge. Despite Tom leaving before the necessary work was completed, I contacted 4-Star repeatedly over the next six years to address the ongoing rot issues. While they made some repairs, they never addressed the root cause as Tom recommended. Despite numerous calls for a complete inspection, they declined, citing the warranty expiration. The change in ownership from the retired owner to his son also led to a lack of accountability. I believe 4-Star's conduct is not only unethical but possibly illegal, and they have failed to honor their work adequately.

My husband and I recently tried Angie's List for the first time. After providing the required information, we received multiple results. Surprisingly, only one of the referrals was local. To our dismay, we received a call from a referral in Maryland although we reside in Southern California. Another referral was hours away, leaving only one local option. It's puzzling why Angie's List would suggest air duct cleaners from states far from us. This experience feels like a waste of time and energy.

I had a negative experience with a handyman service claiming to have screened their workers, specifically with one individual named Jose Perez who worked at my residence at [redacted] Diana Drive, Santa Cruz, CA on November 6 and 7, [redacted]. Jose admitted he was not authorized to work in the US. During the job, he pressured me for additional payment, citing personal reasons, and even left abruptly before I could complete the transaction. When I tried to follow up and pay for the materials he purchased, he refused to provide an address for me to send the check. I felt uncomfortable and intend to leave a poor review on Angie's List. I visited Angie's List to find a landscaper. Initially, I had someone in mind, but then another person contacted me after getting my number from the list. Even though I paid $[redacted] for some additional work, the person showed up with a bad attitude, was extremely rude, and intentionally ruined my trees. The company, Luxury Custom Landscaping of Las Vegas, won't address my concerns. I'm disappointed as they got my contact information from Angie's List. I spoke to Jesse at HomeAdvisor, who promised to assist, but no one has followed up yet. I want a partial refund and a resolution as my trees are damaged. Angie's List reached out to me about my experience, and I shared my grievances. Jesse assured me they would help, but I'm still waiting for an update. I hope for a prompt resolution.
